Summary:
After news of her uncle's health status reaches Moiraine, her sister has asked her to come home. Reluctantly agreeing, she discovers that she is the heir to the family business.
There's only one problem. The Will stipulates that whoever is to inherit the company, must be betrothed to be wed.
Running out of options and a slip of the tongue later, she has no choice but to ask her new friend to pretend that the two are engaged until Moiraine takes control of the company. It's three days at most, what could possibly go wrong?
So I finished the finale yesterday. I'd say it was pretty good actually
i liked the action scenes a lot, the scene where Rand holds his speech to the Aiel is also nice
I especially enjoyed the fight between Moiraine, Lan and Lanfear it was amazing. My fav scene was when Mo realised Siuan was dead and practically killed Lanfear then, it was really cool. But it also made my heart break in a million pieces. I watched the show in German and the German voice actress was amazing, maybe you find a compilation of her on yt or smth. Her name is Alexandra Marisa Wilcke (funfact: she also voices Nala from the Lion King in the German dub)
now my criticism:
the ending was very unsatisfying with the epic fight scenes, Mo narrating all this and then it just cut. I was sitting there with my brother and my mum and I was like (and I quote): THE FUCK YOU MEAN THAT WAS THE ENDING? IT GOT CANCELLED AFTER THAT?
The next point is my biggest critic point because I find it very important as a queer teen (and future human rights activist)
I didn't like how they killed off Siuan. Yes, she's my favourite character so I might be biased, but still. In my opinion, it was unnecessary to kill her like this. I don't really know how it is in the books, but the show is very different anyways, so why not make her lose her life in a fight? Let her die in glory/honour and not like this, powers taken away and getting FUCKING DECAPITATED BRUTALLY. Let's say she had to die, okay, then don't let her die so brutally. I don't have a problem with violence in TV shows, but seeing that scene (and it was mostly off screen actually) made me just sick, like really. I couldn't eat after that because I felt nauseous. It's always sad to see your favourite character die, but for me it was extra sad because I'm a lesbian and there was again no happy ending for the queer couple. And as far as I know Siuan is a lesbian in the show, it's sad to see the characters who finally represent you, die. And the thing is that I as a white lesbian get a lot more representation as for example lesbians of colour. I know how it is to get little to no representation as an agender, asexual, arospec lesbian, sure, but seeing someone who looks like le and loves like me is nothing new to me, but for some people Siuan was maybe the first representation they got. And I was really angry/sad/whatever (idk I'm not good with words or feelings) when Siuan died, so I can't imagine how they felt. I don't wanna pretend like I know anything about racism and racist experiences, in fact, I don't know shit about it because I'm privileged due to my skin colour (which is not okay, it shouldn't be like this), but I know that black queer people barely get representation and that is in my opinion really unfair. And when they do get representation, I rarely saw happy endings. Siuan deserved better and this is a perfect example of the "Bury your Gays" trope and lazy writing. I hate that queer characters in media rarely get happy endings, it feels awful to see your favourite queer characters all die and then you just think that you'll never get a happy ending
anyways, overall I enjoyed the finale, I'd rate it a 7.5/10 because lf the ending and Siuan's lazily written death
please excuse any grammar mistakes, my English skills aren't perfect yer, but I'm trying! Also I'm sorry if I worded things poorly or came off as rude. I never intend to be rude, I'm autistic and I'm not that good at expressing my feelings through words. Also about the Siuan thing: I do not want to claim any racist experiences by the way, I don't want to say I know about experiences with racism because I don't. I just know what discrimination feels like because of something you cannot change, so I get the idea of how it could be like, but I will never know or understand fully. I just find it very unfair and wanted to write about how I feel about this because I loved Siuan as a character and she didn't deserve that ending.
Trying to get back into the groove of writing Moiraine, Siuan, and Lan. Anyone want to send me short prompts? I think I need to write some drabbles or under 1000 word fics just to get back in the mood and in the characters heads. Any prompts for short fics in canon would be much welcomed!

“I’m so glad”, she said smiling.
“So… you didn’t tell me your name.”
Again, she paused a fraction too long, wearing a faintly puzzled expression before it smoothed away.
