That was a weird request, for him to run. He was perfectly fine with running beforehand, flying was just easier. He was sure he could still use his wings though, he just had a feeling he could. But if Sting wanted him to run for some reason then he would. “Alright!” he agreed, nodding with a determined look on his face. He would do anything to get stronger, if he now had the ability to do more than he would do it!
Having stamina was something everyone needed, especially mages. While Sting did not fancy running away or anything of the like, but this really was a good a place to start as any. His hand extended again to Lector, ruffling up his hair again. “See if you can catch me.” not that he would go on full speed. Without his wings there was no chance Lector would be able to catch his heightened speed. So he would just take it easy, for now. Flashing him a wink, he took off down the forest path. “Ready set go~!" it was a bit of a cheat? Only a little, but Lector should have seen it coming by now.
Lector was actually expecting him to run off like that and so the boy was right behind him. He knew his friend all to well after all. He could tell right away that he wasn't going anywhere near the speed he was capable of, which meant that he was holding back on Lector. He wanted to yell something after him, but decided to let it go until he caught up with the blonde. He did have to admit, having longer legs made this job a bit easier. But his wings would have made it even more easy.
How lucky was Lector to have someone who was this willing to help him? He was very lucky just to have Sting even acknowledge him. But as soon as he had the two of them had become friends and Lector was glad for it. He shook his head, returning his thoughts to the present. He was going to be ready for whatever Sting decided to do with him after all, which meant he couldn’t be thinking bout the past. He would be stronger now that he had the ability to be, not letting anyone get in his way.
Sting’s mind was slowly changing to wonder what he ought to do with the redhead today. There were plenty of options, and he guessed he should start with the boy’s physical stature before they tried any magic. He could not teach him Dragon Slayer magic, but he was sure there was something simple that could be given to Lector. He would handle it once it arrived, really. “How about we start with a run? And no using those wings of yours if you still got’em. You’re not a tiny little cat anymore~ We gotta work on getting you used to what you got now.” granted he guessed if he was like that one cat in Fairy Tail he might have been able to become huge but - if Lector ever got like Pantherlily as either a human or an Exceed… That would be a little scary.

That was another reason why he loved Sting. It was why Sting was always going to be the best dragon slayer ever. Because even though he was weak, even though he was used to be a cat, Sting never gave up on helping him. He loved being around the other and loved how confident he was, how much he just radiated a friendly air. There was something about Sting that just made you want to pay attention to him. Or there was for Lector anyways. “I’m ready for anything you can throw at me Sting-kun!” he grinned, clenching his hands into determined fists.
He was well are we was bias in terms of Lector. His first friend was treated differently than any of the other, but it did not matter in the grand scheme of things. Lector meant too much to him for the former Exceed to not get the best of the best. Not to mention Lector did take everything that Sting gave him and he was even better at seeing the light than Sting himself was. Sometimes he had to wonder which of the two of them had more White Magic in their hearts. He was proud to have him as a friend, that went without saying. “That’s the spirit!" he said, pushing open the door, heading out toward the path to the forest. Better to be safe with coverage when training.

Lector was always more than ready to boost Stings ego a bit, even if he didn’t need it. After all, if he wasn’t already Sting would one day become the worlds strongest dragon slayer! That was the kind of partner that Lector had after all. He was smart, resourceful, strong, and all around amazing. Lector was really lucky to have someone like him as his partner and he was sure that others were jealous of their relationship. Sting was a guild master after all, unlike any of the others. Not that they weren’t strong to, just….not as much as Sting. “I doubt I could ever be as powerful as you Sting-kun” he replied, following the other out of the room
Sting was nowhere near as smug as he made people believe, and that was one of the reasons he believed his partner was so willing to give him these boosts. Or at least that was what Sting always told himself. Hands would rest upon his own hips, walking along side him as they made their way down the hall. If there was one good thing about Lector being in this form, it was that he no longer had to lean over as much to talk to him and make Lector be as close to his level as possible He was still his student after all, and Sting was not the type to belittle those that tried as hard as Lector did. He would sooner start a useless fight against anyone that tried to go against his little buddy. “Heh, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get strong in your own way. And that’s what we’re gonna be working on.” better than being stuck doing paperwork on such a beautiful day.

"I surrender, I’m no match for someone as strong as Sting-kun!" he replied, laughing and pushing at the others hands. He then sat up fully and hopped off of the bed, trying to assure that the other didn’t continue his ‘assault’ on him. Lector wouldn’t have minded sleeping longer, but he didn’t mind spending time with the dragon slayer either. If it was anyone else that had woken him so abruptly his mood would hae been much more foul.
Nothing like a little ego boost in the morning - not that Sting was the type that needed things like that. Not with his outward persona already as hyped up as it was. He straightened himself up, a hand reaching down to ruffle up red hairs. He was still rather affectionate, even when he was boasting about himself. “One day you might be~.” he said encouragingly - now that he was human that meant he might have the potential for stronger magic than his Aera; assuming that he could still use it. But Sting was hopeful for his comrade. There was new potential, and he would hate to see it wasted for his friend’s sake. “Let’s get outta here.”

When he was lifted up the male made a surprised sound that shifted into laughter as his partner began tickling him. He kicked his legs in protest, trying to pull away from the blonde. When he finally did manage to squirm out of his grasp the boy fell back onto the bed, still laughing as he did.
Technically Lector was still in bed now that he was dropped back down, but at least he was more awake than a moment ago. Still giving him some small tickles to ensure he stayed awake and laughed a little while longer, he smirked down at him. “Do you surrender~?” not that he was going to give him much of a choice. There were things he wanted to get done today, and he still enjoyed having his partner by his side.

"There may not be anymore dragons, but there is somebody called salamander, right? One day I’ll beat him right in front of everybody."
He ignored the others warning, simply mumbling something that could not be understood and turning onto his back. He doubted that the others threat was very sound, so he simply ignored it.
Mornings with the now human made things very interesting, and he had no objections whatsoever. Lector was still Lector - just bigger without fur and cat parts. “You’ve asked for it then!" he announced before strong arms wrapped around the child, picking him up slightly before he began a merciless tickle attack.

The only responce he got was a tired groan from the younger, who shook his head simply.
Having figured something like that was to happen, a little smirk began to pull onto his face and he approached where Lector laid, hands hovering. “If you don’t get up now I’m going to have to take drastic measures…~”

“Heeyyyy buddy! Up and at ‘em, c’mon we got stuff to do today!”

The only person he would ever let see him break was the cat - or rather, boy - before him. In the past he might have tried to keep his composure and play it off, but he had played to his limit just speaking to the state that Rogue was in now. He did not want to leave him, but as he trembled outside of the Dragon Slayer’s room his emotions became too much for him to handle on his own. The proud Dragon Slayer was brought to his knees, putting a great deal of his weight onto his beloved comrade.
”H-How did I let this happen Lector…” he choked out, knowing full well that blaming himself would get them nowhere. He had to act like himself, help his friend instead of being so selfish. He would find a way to bring him out of the darkness, and retrieve the missing memories. Frosch, Frosch had to be having a harder time with this than Sting, but at least she was able to insist on staying with him. As soon as Sting could tell the rest of the guild what was going on now that Rogue was awake, he was going to stick to Rogue like glue.
Fingers gripped into his comrade’s hair, his whole body radiating with tremors. Not even a month ago he had almost lost Lector forever, and then Lady disappearing - if he was to now lose Rogue, the Rogue that he used to be on top of everything else still going on, he would be at a loss. He was not fit to be a Guild Master, was he? He was strong enough to take down Jiemma in an emotional rage, but this pain in his chest now, these were not feelings he wanted to have. He felt like he could not even breathe.
He had to get it together. This was simply pathetic. He could almost feel Jiemma laughing at him, or Minerva lecturing him that this was not how Sabertooth mages behaved. He continued to cling to Lector as his breath began to even out, tears streaming down his face. “Bu-But, he’s… He’s going to be okay right buddy…? We’ll find a way to fix him… We have to find a way to fix him.”
