Sideblog for things I don't want affiliated with my main. Be it writing I'm not confident in, or a fandom I don't want to advertise my presence in. Most of this is test writing or drawing of characters from various media.
Hello. My name is Redacted. No idea how you found your way here.
This blog is where I try out writing new characters, hopefully get some constructive criticism, and maybe doodle.
Things posted here may be from many fandoms at a time. Or I'm stuck in one for a long time.
If you see something written here put on a different blog later, ask before you assume it stolen. If it's not stolen, forget the other username, please. Thank you.
It has been a long while since I have actively (either on purpose or accidentally) took part in any sort of fandom discourse. It's mentally draining. I like a good-faithed debate as much as the next person over, but fandom discourse tends to devolve into arguing for the sake of arguing. You can push as much logic and equal-level counterarguments, but all you're going to get back is insults.
Anyway, this is not anything new to fandom in general, but I've noticed something within the time I've returned to the BNHA fandom. This is, any given fandoms urge to mark unrelated characters as "siblings" and then get mad when people ship these unrelated characters. Like- sir, those two have known each other less than a year, the people are allowed to ship them. (quite frankly, they can know each other their whole lives. they ain't siblings.)
Anyway, someone told me Todoroki and Midoriya were brothers and got pissy when I said they weren't??? I brought up the AUs where they are cousins, but we were discussing something from canon (Hosu, for those wondering.)
Likewise, I saw a Kiribaku shipper who had been harassed because people said Kirishima and Bakugou were brothers?? The two characters with the most romantic and/or platonic chemistry. Like- did we all conveniently forget that both Bakugou and Midoriya do have a (toxic af) sibling-adjacent dynamic? Each other? Since we're all so desperate to give them siblings.
I know this is an issue in multiple fandoms, but it's so strange to see it in BNHA, especially with these pairings in particular. Kiribaku and Tododeku are among the pillars of the fandom. I feel like something happened during seasons 5 til the end, around when I dipped out of the fandom that I just wasn't informed of.
I mean- I personally still ship those (but Kirideku and Bakusero are slowly taking over my brain as well) but it leaves a weird taste in my mouth to consider either of those pairings as siblings.
Am I a hypocrite? Maybe a little, I did bring up Bakugou and Deku. But! In my defense, if you look at those two as anything other than siblings (heck, even if you look at them as siblings,) Bakugou is an unbearable jackass. I don't care if he's 14, he told someone who is supposed to be his oldest friend to jump off a roof. He doesn't even start to get his act together until after the Kamino incident. Having rewatched the whole series, he does seem to make up for his awful behavior, but I do so crave AUs where Deku never forgives his ass. Or where he actively tries to get better sooner. Or where he was never a jackass in the first place.
Something that's grating on me is that it's only the two biggest ships for all four of these characters. That's like waking up one morning and deciding Sherlock and Watson are related (is that- is that an equal ship? maybe.) and nobody can ship them anymore. And also that it's both queer ships. I know a lot of the people who are calling these pairings "siblings" are Bakudeku shippers, but this is the same kind of "logic" I've heard from homophobes who just want a reason to hurt people. "They're brothers, that's disgusting, [insert queer insult of any kind, I've seen too many to count]" or "Oh, that community likes making brothers kiss." But they were never related! I've seen it before and it terrifies me that it's being used how it is. When any fandom starts sounding like the homophobes' excuses to be homophobic, that's generally a very, very bad thing.
As I've said, BNHA is far from the only fandom to do this. It is neither the first, nor will it be the last. But this "you can't ship these completely unrelated people because I headcanon they're siblings" is a dangerous hole to fall into and can be used as a weapon against fandoms and shipping.
Me, going onto my anonymous blog (so my sib can't get on my case) after watching BNHA episode 116: Fuck Hawks, actually. Like- actually. The fandom has led me astray. I thought he was cool or something. I want him dead. I want that fucker six feet under. I do not have enough room in my being for the amount of hate I am harboring for him.
Genuinely, why do people like him? He's on my shitlist next to Endeavor and Mineta. Are you kidding me? I want that bird roasted. I would take joy in plucking each individual feather from his pathetically tiny wings and burning them in front of him and letting him watch his quirk crumble to ash.
I do mean no hate to fans of the guy, but after what I just witnessed, I just despise Hawks straight up. He's right next to TFP's Airachnid for what he did. Same crime, those two. Exact same crime. EXCEPT HAWKS IS FUCKING WORSE?!?!? I'm trying not to spoil anything, so like- Yeah, but he is worse than her. Same crime, but where I saw hers coming, Hawks is a bitch ass motherfucker who stabbed me in the back, gutted me like a fish, and left my disemboweled remains squirming on the ground alive enough to write a hate post about him.
If he doesn't die this season, I'm writing fanfiction about it happening. I'm gonna do it. I want him dead. I am not above hate-writing spite fanfiction.
Anyway! This has been your irregularly scheduled random post from Redacted losing his mind!
I have arrived at season 7 (finally.) Have my opinions on Hawks changed? Fuck no lol! He still sucks big time, and I think what's getting on my nerves is the fact that he has so much screen time. Right next to Endeavor. The biggest scumbags of the series are in basically every episode (if not literally) and I loudly boo them every time they're on screen.
Also- I want more Twice and Toga. They were a cute duo (platonically) Utterly adorable, the two of them, as well as Mag. I'd give anything to see Hawks dead and more of Toga and Twice being besties.
Though, may I say, Best Jeanist is awesome and I love his little batmobile car. If only he wasn't around Hawks, the worse guy known to man, so much.

“Parker.” Barrett glared at his eldest brother.
“Barrett. I have learned some interesting information from Prowl.”
“I’m sure you have. Keep it to yourself.” The younger growled out. Fearsome sniper Barrett was not.

The fun part about this half of the story is that now the main characters have double the family. This half also isn't completely canon. I've long since been debating on how I want the story to end. I know the boys return to their lives as humans, but in a few of the possible endings, the Autobots, long since regarded as things of science fiction, end up on Earth. This is due to the combining of two realities, one where Transformers are real, and one where they aren't. This is from an ending where the former is true.
In the case of Transformers remaining a work of fiction, it feels like there isn't as much closure, which I suppose is the point of that ending. Living through millions of years of war, having the mental scars, the flashbacks, the reflexes and instincts that kept you alive. It has no place in their world. The main trio are not warriors, they don't risk their lives every day. But they did, and they did so for such a long time that their real lives were barely even a memory.
There is nothing validating any of this. If they say anything, they sound insane. And much like their time in the world of Transformers, they are the only three who understand what is happening and what they're going through.
It's like waking up from a most elaborate dream. Everything felt real, and in this case it was, and then everything is back to normal, but something within you has changed that nothing can ever be the same again.
The reason that I have been questioning which route to go with the ending is because it's just that tough a decision. On one hand, the merging of realities gives more closure, a happier ending, and the angst is more sugar-coated, allowing the hurt and trauma to fester while still having more lighthearted moments. But keeping the worlds separate? It makes more sense, not that I was ever concerned with that as I can make the other ending make sense too, and it reveals something so painful in each of the boys.
Each ending has its pros and cons and I doubt I will make up my mind any time soon.
I hate how me being overstimulated and me being upset feed directly into one another.
If I'm upset, everything's too much and things I can usually stand get on my nerves an unreasonable amount.
And if I'm overstimulated, I get upset way easier. They are connected and I hate it. It's bad enough dealing with one or the other, but both? I always have to deal with both because my upset and my overstimulation are bonded like little creatures.
Okay, AU explanation for TF: AotA. It's an abbreviation of Transformers: Adventures on the Ark. It's a humanformers AU of sorts.
It focuses on Scout and Sawyer, twin brothers who are Transformers superfans. Oh, and their best friend, Barrett Davis. Anyway, the three of them are major fans of the franchise.
In their universe, a new video game gets released. The titular Adventures on the Ark. Reviews praise its character customization, regarded as the best in any Transformers game ever. There's not much about the actual story public besides the fact that your character would be working with the Autobots on the Ark. It's new so, no spoilers.
The beloved trio of fans get the game (it's the twins, but who really cares) and they play it.
Booting it up, they start it and end up in the customization menu. The three make their characters; three Transformers that represent themselves. Scout makes a red frontliner equipped with piledrivers and a jetpack, Sideswipe. Sawyer makes Sideswipes twin, a golden bot with blades who's also on the frontline. Barrett makes a sniper character, the gray and red Praxian, Bluestreak.
They finish making their characters and start the game.
And then they wake up on Cybertron.
This AU is actually really planned out so far and mixes a couple of things from a few continuities. It mainly pulls from Gen 1 for Sideswipe and Bluestreak, and IDW for Sunstreaker.
Out of everything I post on this blog, this one is the most likely to end up on my main blog.
There's also a ton of other characters that show up on both the human and Cybertronian side of things. It should also be noted that while there is only one version of each of the main cast, there are a lot of people duplicated over their worlds. For easiest example, Sawyer has a pet chinchilla named Bobby. And Sunstreaker will eventually get a pet bug and name it Bob. That one is more of an homage to the original chinchilla, but the point stands. On Barrett's side of things, he's the youngest of three brothers. His older brothers, Parker and Sebastian, share a lot of traits with Prowl and Smokescreen.
So, while the main trio are both human and Cybertronian, most everyone else either has two copies of themself, or is just Cybertronian.
Oogh, I could probably share my TF:AotA and Flyer AUs one here if I wanted to. Actually... TF: AotA would only mean anything to one person. If I got into detail about the Flyer AUs, someone would spot me immediately. Though, if someone knows me well enough, all it would take is a quick once over of a post or two here and they'd probably have me down....
Anyway, this blog is now for my beautiful BW AU and TF: AotA AU. Gonna be fun. Might even add my Dreamformers AU if I feel up for it.
Random AU idea that mashes my two favorite (not bayverse really, but they both have some level more significance to me than the others) Transformers continuities.
It would be a sort of Bayverse x Prime crossover.
This idea came about when I was thinking about how Team Prime ended up on Earth and how they found each other. Surely it wasn't like Magnus and Smokescreen every time. I imagine that Optimus and Ratchet might have landed together, maybe even with Bulkhead, and Arcee and Cliff on their own. But I'm not sure about Bee. I mean, I guess they all could have landed together, but that's no fun.
ANYWAY! The AU makes use of both sparkling Bumblebee, and the wonderful Witwicky family of the Bayverse.
The AU starts long before the events of Prime, before the team is together, or perhaps even before they're on Earth. Sparkling Bee crashes somewhere in California, close enough to where a young (think preteen, possibly younger) Sam regularly goes to explore. A bit further away from the city, or in an overgrown park or something.
Sam's out messing around and comes across this weird pod thing. Inside is a large lump of yellow metal all curled in on itself. He pokes it and- Boom! Bee pops his cute little head out of the ball he'd curled himself into.
Sam promptly adopts the alien he found and sneaks Bee home. His parents eventually find out, obviously, but Sam is very attatched to his robot buddy. And Bee makes a very convincing argument for staying by being the cutest thing out there.
So he stays. Large robot son would obviously draw attention, so Ron and Judy choose to move their family to the middle of the Nevada desert. Getting a new house means they can look for one where Bee can be more comfortable, rather than staying in the garage. (He's not all that big, being really young, but he's curious, fidgety, and cuddly, the more space for him in the actual house the better)
Years pass, Sam goes to high school. Sophomore year, there's an exchange student; Miko Nadaki (I'm tempted to send Carly here too.) But I'm getting ahead of myself. There's a three year period where both factions are on Earth without any conflict. If I'm correct, anyway. But that's where we are.
Bumblebee was too young to have any insignia, so the Witwickys wouldn't make any sudden connection seeing all the new vehicles around town.
But the Cons and Bots are in Jasper. Which means it's only a matter of time before one faction or another finds out about the sparkling.
The Autobots find the family first. Fowler has to talk to them, and they end up meeting Team Prime. Bee is very obviously attatched to his human family, so they get to stick around.
Bumblebee now has a Cybertronian influence as well as a human one. He has the entirety of Team Prime doting on him. Maybe more if I want to bring in a couple more Bayverse folk. (I say Bayverse, but it's just my favorite guys that happen to appear there as well. Sideswipe, Ironhide, Elita, and Chromia. Sunstreaker as well if I add them all, because everyone else has separated the twins but I'll be damned if I do it too.)
So the Witwickys have the next couple of years to get familiarized with the Autobots and the Omega Outpost. And here's where our story begins. Well, the familiar part, anyway. The events of Prime start happening.. Three new humans in the base AND! The Decepticons are back.
Don't know how exactly the AU would progress from there, considering Cliff would still die and the Bots are down a Bumblebee. I suppose if I added more Bots, it wouldn't be as much of a problem. It would also allow me to send Sunstreaker to be the one to deal with MECH because Bee's a baby.
