Welcome, mortals! My kind has no love for yours but I am willing to live and let live. Usually. However, my son was drawn to your city of New York months ago, with its bright lights and exotic creatures, and I fear he has been captured by those who would harm him.
I've come to New York to find my son. And woe to humanity if he has been harmed.
The demon Krahllak has promised me shelter and aid if I first help it with ridding the city of the human infestation.
I will do anything if it helps me find my child.

Name: You can't pronounce it. Call me Scarlet.
Size: 25 feet long from nose to tail
Age: Old by your kinds' standards, young by mine
Abilities: flight, breathing fire, and can shapeshift to a human form (though quite tiring to do)
Feel free to send asks, but know that I have very little patience for your kind.

Ooc: Hi there! Since dragons are canon to the MCU (thanks Iron Fist) I thought this would be a fun OC. This blog has no concrete plans so I'm up for anything.
Please send any asks you want. Scarlet is classified Lawful Neutral. She doesn't particularly like humans but doesn't hate them either.
It traced the sigil burned into the ground like clockwork, everything in it's place and every action done and completed with an enviable perfection. Supplies were set up just as the scrolls had instructed, making for an easy process.

It was tedious, but necessary all the same. Siphoning power from the Earth was an unforgiving process, the Earthquakes that would follow through the night were a problem, reinforcing the buildings would only do so much. One night was all they needed, one perfect night. By dawn, the energy siphoned would allow Krahllak to achieve apotheosis and reshape the entire planet to it's will.
It would be able to wipe out any trace of the accursed God and all of His followers. The Hand would be ontop.
Hands full of supplies, Krahllak teleported to it's second to last stop, Hell's Kitchen. It traced a sigil ontop of the building, a back-up just in case Westchester fell, one only It know about. It drew the sigil, poured the mixture of bone meal, ash, and blood.
Red magic flickered around it's fingers, energy flowed directly into the sigil, it glowed when it was activated. One glamour later and the sigil was concealed, blending in with the rooftop.
"Curse this Earth and all who inhabit it." It muttered, just before teleporting back to base.
A forced smile with far too many teeth stretched across it's face as it talked aloud and telepathically to The Hand members far and wide. "Tonight is the night our actions come to fruition, what we have worked for across centuries, life and afterlife blended into one to construct a better world. Rejoice! It is your last night on this wretched planet. I have one final task to ask each of you: Guard you assigned bases. If there are any disturbances during this process kill whatever or whoever is causing it. Come morning light, we will herald in a new age!"
With it's short speech concluded, everyone was dismissed to their assigned bases. A convergence of sorts would take place at the base in Hell's Kitchen where Stick, Gao, Mary, and Elektra were assigned.
Ravonna quickly opens a time door back to Matt's office and pulls him through, the door closing behind them.
"this'll only be a moment" she puts her pruners down and pulls out a med pack from her pocket, quickly ripping open the sterile packing and resting it on the open wound.
"bite down" she says before clicking the button. there's a snap and a burning feeling at the area under the pack but after a few seconds of the pain washing away he can tell the wound is healed
¤ Adrenaline wears down shortly after being off the battlefield, he bites down as instructed. Somehow her med pack hurt worse than the wound itself. A guttural groan escapes him, though he can feel the wound mend itself back together.
she puts one of his arms on her shoulder and supports his weight "but if you get hurt again we'll have to retreat again and you'll be even weaker. 5 minutes, Matt. just 5"
A trail of drained and rotting bodies, mostly Friends of Humanity members, a few Hydra agents, zombies unaligned with the Hand, children and adults alike, all lead to a room down the hall. The room where Krahllak lies in wait.
An eerie red glow emanates from under the crack under the door, demonic energy swirls through the air. This was the place where prayers went unanswered and souls were devoured. Any measure of Humanity had been twisted into a facsimile of itself.
Just as they approached the door creaked open slowly, an invitation from the demon dwelling within the walls.
"I'd consider my presence to be a good thing, for me at least." Krahllak chimed from ahead of them, no heartbeat could be heard from it and then multiple ones all at once.
"I was afraid you'd die before you came to see me. Seems my welcoming crew wasn't very welcoming, but thank you for being such good guests and leaving me a snack." It appeared a short distance away from Ravonna and Daredevil, though any attempts to approach would result in the distance being lengthened, ultimately getting them nowhere. "I always did like the taste of spilled blood."
"Hydra, the Friends of Humanity, the Fisk's, your friend Karen, and even the both of you. You all bleed the same."
Krahllak lifted a hand, one of the corpses behind them gets reanimated and is soon approaching Daredevil. "If you don't want to listen, you can die."
The corpse grabbed Daredevil's chin, yellowing nails dug into his flesh attempting to rip the skin off.
"Make them bleed."
Another corpse grabbed Ravonna's arm, attempting to rip her armor off of her.
The demon turned back to the sigil it had been working on, this one was different from the others. It glowed before it was completed, energy building up for the grand finale, just a few more strokes of blood from the vat of human blood and it would be completed.
It turns it's head up as Ravonna approached, finishing the final stroke of the sigil it had been working on. Standing to it's full height, the demon moved it's finger upwards and pulled the air out of Ravonna's lungs. "I've grown tired of you."
Ravonna slashes at it with her pruner before she falls to her knee to gasp for air, one hand goes to her throat, the other one still holding the pruner between them.
she tries again to slash at it, still gasping for air
The energy that had been in the air shifted, Krahllak siphoned around it's hand and in a twirl of it's finger it hardened, creating a sword. Fingers wrapped around the hilt, it approached Ravonna, slamming the blade down against the hand that held her pruner. "Do something worthwhile with your life and die."
¤ Daredevil moved swiftly while Ravonna had the demon distracted, he could feel the energy coming from the sigil. He grabbed the bottle of holy water and poured it out on the ground, disrupting it's magic.
"Last one down."
¤ He grabs the rosary and holds it out towards the demon.
"Now it's your turn. Listen closely, because I want you to remember this. No matter how many people you kill. No matter how many people you manipulate and bend to your will. Good people are going to show up. No matter the time or the place. There's always going to be someone here to stop you, Krahllak."
It jumped out of the way of Ravonna's pruner, a narrow miss. It flinched as it felt the hold of the rosary. Blessed, holy even, everything it hated. It stopped dead in it's tracks, suddenly unable to move.
"Lower that wretched object now and I will make your death swift." It spat at the vigilante.
It winced as the second rosary was pulled out, it's face twisted in pain as it thrashed out, "No!" It's body jerked haphazardly, the sword's blade narrowly missing Ravonna in it's movement. This time however, the pruner hit it's mark.
there's a burning wave of pain that flows from the place of contact with the pruner and just like once before, krahllak is swallowed up by the colourful sparks.
she wakes up in the dark dimension from where she originally came from.
Ravonna looks back at Matt finally sinking to the ground to take a breath "we did it?" she asks quietly @verygoodlawyer
¤ He stands there, listening for multiple heartbeats, then only two, his and Ravonna's. He clutches his rosary so tight he fears he might break it. His voice came out quieter than he intended, as if confirming it would make their victory disappear.
"We did it."
¤ He nods, feeling the warmth of hope swell in his chest for the first time since May. He speaks louder now, triumphant, if only for a moment.
"Two things. First, we have to gather all of the heroes we brought with us. Make sure they aren't injured or worse. Second, we have to leave the cops a tip so that they can come check all of this out. Dragging these ninjas out of the shadows will be the final blow."
In her current state of exhaustion, Daisy didnāt even trust herself to rely upon her powers one additional time to reach the rooftop rendezvous point the easy way by simply hovering on up- but itās not like she had much of a choice. Any hint of an old-fashioned way wouldāve all taken her far longer to achieve than sheād liked because every minuscule movement had set every nerve and vein on fire and forced her to constantly grit her teeth through the pain.
Once the soles of her boots were firmly planted on solid ground, Daisy shuffled over to the where a couple others had already started to gather. God was she so ready to get back to base, collapse into the arms of her teammates and sleep for a week.
āFeeling bruised and tired aside which is what I knew to expect signing up for this kind of life, yes Iām fine.ā
Daisy smiles softly to herself, whilst she moved through the process of easing off both her gauntlets and gloves. Eternally grateful to the concern that Daredevil was showing.
āYou are not wellā¦ā Those words startled Daisy from her reverie. Whirling around quickly on her heel, resulted in her once again being face to face with the dragon sheād met earlier. The fact that she cared enough to be here, ultimately it meant something to Daisy that words simply couldnāt describe.
āWhat are youā¦?ā Doing here. Talking about. Both acceptable ends to her question happen to be right there yet she can bring herself to say them.
Because even if there was truth behind the statement, it couldnāt be anything that time in the healing chamber shouldnāt be able to fix- she thought.
Scarlet put her head down close to Daisy and sniffed the air, as if she could smell her bruises.
"You have pushed yourself past your limits," she said bluntly. She gazed around the rooftop and in the rosy light of the dawn, her eyes fell on Daredevil and Cyclops and Order, and several of the others. "And you are not the only one. You will all need rest."
The dragon seemed protective of Daisy. "I will accompany you home, to make sure you reach it safely."

Curious about what would happen now, Scarlet followed Daisy at a distance until she saw where she was going. A nearby rooftop.
Scarlet knew enough to keep herself out of view of the streets below. The shadows were her allies as she slithered up a fire escape, clinging to the back of the building until she reached the roof. She paused, eyeing the gathered. She recognized several of them as ones she had spoken to this night.
Daisy was directly in front of her with back to the edge of the roof as Scarlet climbed up, standing behind her, looking like a protective looming gargoyle.
"You are not well," she said to Daisy bluntly, without bothering to introduce herself to the assembled.

¤ Daredevil addresses the group when they arrive outside of the base.
"Alright everyone, you have your assignments, we all have a job to do. Let's get in, get out, and get this done. Call for help if you need it. And most importantly don't die."
Daisy mock saluted the vigilante in red, leading the charge before she adjusted the fit of her gauntlets and turning her attention to the man who she would be assisting in the search and rescue of the civilians.
āWeāll find them, my powers will aid us in picking out the sounds of their heartbeats from that of the chaos that is no doubt coming our way.ā
The base was huge, she expected nothing less yet she crossed the length of the room as though it were nothing.
āThey are most likely to kept somewhere in the depths of the back most corridors , itād be best to start there and working our way back toward here.ā
It didn't take long for them to come into contact with a few of the children. They were on the battlefield first. A strategic decision, their screams would alert their superiors. They were small, insignificant, and easily replaceable.
A trio was gathered in the hallway, they were whispering as they talked, at least they were trying to. Their voices were just below yelling. It was hard to be quiet.
One of them held a sword that was far too big for their body, and the other two had daggers. Untrained and utterly defenseless, these kids were meant to die.
Daisy startled slightly at the sight of three child sized figures. Slinking out of the hallway shadows to stand before her.
God. The sight of the blades in each of their hands, it made her feel absolutely sick to her stomach and the fact that her powers picked up on the lack of heartbeats did nothing to quell the unease.
This whole situation very closely reminded her of Hive and how it had stripped innocents of their freewill before reanimating them solely to serve its own purposes. However she kept her hands positioned down at her sides. Not wanting to make the first strike even though showing mercy would do nothing to change their fates.
Their leader lifted their sword and took a swing at her head, while the other two focused on Daredevil. The closer they got the more the smell of rot lingered in the air. When the light managed to illuminate their faces, the skin appeared to be decaying.
The blade of the sword had missed it's mark clumsily finding it's way into her side. Meanwhile, the two attacking Daredevil embedded their blade into his left leg.
Daisy grunts, it takes a couple of seconds for her to fully register the sharp sting of the blade that sliced through her leather uniform and skin. Followed up by the pain coursing through her veins which follows suit.
God⦠the second someone caught even the slightest glimpse of her injuries, of which she experienced much worse. She could worry about the atrocious smothering of being so oversolicitous from Simmons later.
āHow goddamn sharp is this blade, and why in all hell is it in the hands of a child?ā She grouses whilst extending her right hand, to blast a powerful quake directly at her assailant. A strong part of her knew that there would be no saving grace for the kid yet she didnāt have the heart to put them out of their misery.
She had to keep pushing forward with the task at hand.
The child flew back from the blast, landing against the wall, their sword fell to the floor next to them. They laid there at least for a minute or two, not quite recovering from the blast they had sustained.
After watching the kid hit the floor following to being thrown against a wall, Daisy winces being entirely reminded of the time loops and how painful being in the kidās exact position had been for her as she lowers herself down to her knees.
Again, the action swept her into a memory from the time loops- this time being when sheād helplessly watched Daniel suddenly die all because heād taken the risk to do the honourable thing and pick up the device that would aid in unblocking Simmons memory.
As much as she would like to press a hand firmly to her side, but she decides against it and lays her hands (palm side down) against the cold concrete warehouse floor. Her eyes voluntarily close as itāll better help her concentrate on putting a stop to the earthquakes that were shaking the city.
Daisy hears a long, dry scraping sound, like something being dragged along the floor. When she opens her eyes, she'll find a pair of slightly glowing gold eyes peering down at her.
The reptilian face is alien to her, but the curiosity in the eyes is universal.
"You have the power to stop the Earth from shaking?" the dragon murmurs. "Astounding. Are you like the others, the ones wearing the cross on their clothes?" She made an X in the air with one claw to demonstrate.
Meeting the gaze of the dragon causes Daisyās concentration to falter minutely but she soldiers on, pressing her hands more firmly against the ground. And even in the dim light, she could already feel the bruising that was spreading over the lengths of her arms underneath her suit.
āNot quite.ā She replies, āIām categorised into a subgroup of people calling themselves inhumans.ā She wants to say more but chooses not to at the last moment.
Inhumans had faced more than enough scrutiny and had been hunted to relentless ends as it was since the fish oil pill scandal and as part of her mantra for tonight was to keep their current reputation from being tainted even further.
Scarlet is used to curses and screaming at the sight of her, not civil conversation. She blinks her bright eyes at Daisy's reply.
"Ah yes, humans love to categorize anything," she finally says, sounding amused. "Even themselves. Where would you be if you weren't able to fit everything into a tidy little enclosure, and give it limits by defining it?"
She glances at the reanimated human children (very distasteful practice), but they aren't regrouping yet, giving Scarlet time to talk to the woman. "How much concentration is needed for you to continue to hold the earth still?" Her tail taps a rhythmic pattern on the ground.
āA lot. And itās all weighing on my shoulders because if I make even one wrong movement Iā¦ā Conveniently itās at this exact moment that Daisyās voice fails her. Become the Destroyer of Worlds goes completely unsaid.
Her eyes trail over to where the dragonās own gaze had landed a few mere seconds ago, where the child warriors still appear to be sprawled motionless following having attacked her.
The fact that there still had been no news regarding whether there were any children in the warehouse needing saving, worried Daisy slightly. Was it too late for them to even be saved?
"It seems a poor idea to leave you unguarded like this. If the demon's puppets are able to attack you again, you can't defend yourself and also hold the earth still at the same time, correct?"
"I also am supposed to stop you," the dragon adds, sounding apologetic. "But at least the Crossed humans have taken the Hand's children that aren't puppets away from this building."
The most recent question that the dragon had posed to Daisy, really left her wondering- Could she manage juggling fending off assailants and continue to absorb the vibrations of the earthquakes? Would it even work considering she canāt remember ever trying to do anything somewhat similar?
āSo why havenāt you. Stopped me, I mean?ā She asks curiously. Although the honesty of the dragonās admission had piqued her curiosity, she couldnāt let herself forget what reason she had volunteered to this cause for- That reason being Family.
The dragon tips her head, looking almost curious herself. "I was prepared to, but so far tonight I have spoken to several other humans, and each one has treated me with respect and spoken to me as an equal, despite us being on different sides of the battlefield. I was not prepared for that."
She sits carefully on the stone floor next to Daisy. "The humans I have met in my life treated me as an animal, or a demon. When I came to this city to find my missing son, I expected more of the same. But if the humans that live here are like you and the others who have come to defend it, they don't deserve to be destroyed."
Daisy nods her head. āIād like to think that for a majority of us, given our professional line of work whether that be as an X-man, a S.H.I.E.L.D Agent in my case or something else entirely we really do consider all avenues in which a situation can and should be handled by before ever defaulting to violenceā¦ā
Sitting beside much a majestic animal that the dragon was, it felt strangeā¦. But a good kind of strange and on top of all that, hearing how she just wanted to be reunited with her son, a wave of sympathy tugged at Daisyās heartstrings.
So with her mind determinedly made up, she refocuses her gaze to meet that of the Dragonās. āMy people at Shield and I- we understand the importance of family more than anyone⦠cause weād also do whatever it took to keep one another safe.ā
The dragon's long face looks somewhat amused. "Violence has its place. After all, it would be difficult for you to defend your city against a demon without it."
"And yes... Family is very important," she murmurs, agreeing with Daisy. "Especially when there is so few of us."
Suddenly Scarlet lifts her head, as if she can hear or sense something in the air outside the building. "Dawn is approaching soon. That will be the end of Krahllak's spell. For better or for worse." She looks back down to Daisy. "You will not have to hold the earth still much longer."
āDawn is approaching soon, You will not have to hold the earth still much longer.ā Those words lifted Daisyās spirits massively. This over-exertion in the use of her powers had definitely sapped through a lot of her strength and energy.
āOh goodā¦ā she murmurs, a small smile gracing her face since only half of the sentence registers in her mind at first- then the rest of it eventually follows suit. āI hope that everything works out, ām not fully sure how to be of much help if the opposite turns out to be trueā¦ā
She couldnāt be dwelling too much on the external factors of this entire situation. That was for the other heroes to worry about- she was doing all that she could in the here and now. Though that seemed easier said than done given that even the dim glow of the warehouse lights made her head hurt.
A shudder passes down the crimson dragon's long spine. The air suddenly feels lighter, as if some smog that was almost too subtle to notice has vanished.
The sad bodies of the children in the corner who had been reanimated slowly slump into dust.
Scarlet sighs. "It is done. Krahllak has disappeared from this plane of existence. She was defeated." The dragon knows that without her ally, she now has no way to find her son in this city. But she made her choice and she couldn't help wipe out the humans once she spoke to their representatives.

Krahllak told me the ceremony would take the energy from all the humans and leave the planet for those of us who have been displaced as the humans spread across it. I thought this would not be a bad thing. I considered humans more like a parasite infesting the planet, like fleas -- forgive me for saying so. But my conversations tonight have proven me misinformed.

With it's short speech concluded, everyone was dismissed to their assigned bases. A convergence of sorts would take place at the base in Hell's Kitchen where Stick, Gao, Mary, and Elektra were assigned.
