this speaks so loud to me about how i am constantly trying to self sabotage relationships that are going well to avoid the inevitable fact that they will leave and i will be broken... the anxiety of being left controls you into thinking you need to “test” this person into seeing if they will stay, and all it does is hurt both sides. pushing until they finally leave you, even though all you want is for them to stay.

“help me hold on to you” is honestly a phrase that has passed through every mind affected by anxiety...
