[The battles were long and tough, Red almost losing in the first round because he didn't know about Mary's Arcanine's Flash Fire, when Charizard kept shooting at it with Flamethrower and in the second round, when Red didn't know about the moves Protect and Encore, but Red was able to overcome them all (barely, given the fact that he doesn't even know what new moves there were or what abilities were). Soon enough, he had made it to the final round, where he was head-to-head with Lucy. They have both already lost 2 of their 3 Pokémon, but Red wasn't about to give up.]
All right, come on out, Snorlax!
Red's final Pokémon is Snorlax! Will it be enough to take down Lucy's Breloom?! I'm surprised as you all are, folks that Red made it this far, even though he had no idea of what abilities were!
[There was laughter in the crowd, and Red was a little embarrassed. It was true, Red's fighting style was outdated.] [Snorlax took a Spore from Breloom, causing Snorlax to fall asleep. Red was in trouble, now.]
Snorlax!! You gotta wake up!! [Alas, it was no use, Snorlax was sound asleep. Breloom charged in with a Mach Punch, causing Snorlax to grunt. Even though he was a big fella, that blubber wasn't enough to stop a hard attack.] WAKE UP, SNORLAX!! [Snorlax couldn't-- he was still sleeping like a baby. Breloom charged in with another Mach Punch, and it was all over.]
You saw it here, folks! The winner is Lucy!! Lucy has won the tournament!!
[Red was astonished. Battling did get more complex over the years. Red returned Snorlax with a frown on his face, defeated.] Geez... Hey, Lucy!! [Red cheers right up and gives a thumbs up.] Good battle! I learned something, today, and I plan to keep it in mind!!
[With that, Red exited the battlefield.]
