Dawn shrugged, she really wasn’t sure. It didn’t happen often and no one has ever freaked out on her. That was probably a good thing since she wasn’t too sure what to do… Serious stuff like that was hard for her to deal with. 

Her friend seemed to be thinking so she took this time to enjoy the view. It was different from Sinnoh. Warmer and so much more to see. Man, Sinnoh was real boring for her. She was pretty sure she saw everything it had to offer. Well, there were a few places she hadn’t gone to… Anyway, it was nice to see a change of scenery. 

"Woah… It’d be nice to battle to see how tough the trainers are here." She said, but really wasn’t up for it. Dawn consumed the rest of the ice cream and stopped when Nate asked about Sinnoh. The girl gulped and laughed. "Sinnoh’s kinda lame for me. Not as, uh, high-tech as this place… Hell, there is this mountain that splits the whole region in half!" After laughing a bit, she continued. "Not all of Sinnoh is cold, it’s hot near the volcano."

"A volcano, huh? We have one too," he added. Nate would know, because he actually had to traverse that sucker to get to Opelucid City during his adventures. "It's called Reversal Mountain...I'm not sure why though." He kinda went off on a little mind rant about how the silly names of the mountain before refocusing himself. "So...there's a mountain that splits Sinnoh in half?" He asked.

It sounded like that was an amazing sight to see, but there had to be some kind of catch. There always was to these kind of things. Needless to say though, Nate was somewhat disappointed that Sinnoh was too boring for her to talk about "What about where you live? Surely that place can't be TOO lame right? I mean I live in one of the smallest cities of Unova and stuff but it was just fine. It's home."

Bear in mind though that Nate had no idea other trainers in other regions lived in towns, which were much smaller settlements than cities. 'Gee...if Sinnoh is really as lame as she says being here must be a real treat all by itself,' He thought. 'I better help her make the most of it before she goes back then." Looking down, he'd realized he had finished his ice cream already. He turned his head to her. "So..how long are you gonna stick around?"

This was definitely not what Green had expected. Granted, he hadn’t known what to expect, so it wasn’t much of a surprise, but still.

Everything was just so… huge. Overwhelming, almost, and that’s saying something. He took his time to look around, Eevee in tow, and god bless, it was actually obvious that he was at the very least impressed.

The older one hummed, listening to Nate’s explanations as he was led around. He could hear the smug tone in his voice, and since it was coming from Nate of all people, just so happened to intrigue Green more.

"Everything, huh," he mused. "Not going to lie, that is pretty rad.”

Still, he had an image to maintain, so no exciting exploration of the premises (yet).

"Now I’m curious. I’d like to see how these movies are made. Especially since you’re in them."

"Haha, R-Really?" he asked, throwing a hand behind his head and scratching the nape of his neck in a typical anime fashion. "Well, I guess then that means you want to go with me in the filming area and watch me do a scene, huh?" He figured that'd be alright with the staff if he just showed a new friend around the premise and showed him how it all worked. Maybe if he could get Green interested enough, he could show him the ropes and become his senpai. Hah! Imagine that, Nate. Imagine that.

He slowly walked over to the shooting room, still kind of halfway between reality and fantasy. He snapped out of it midway there though. 'Jeez Nate you haven't even known this guy for five minutes and already you're...' he thought. 'B-But he's just so cool and handsome....' "I like your jacket, by the way! You look nice with it." He said with a chuckle. Giving compliments out of the blue Nate. That doesn't make the obvious even more so. Nope, not a bit.

"Ahh, thank you." She said and took the ice cream. At this point, he seemed more excited than she was. It was fun to be around him, Nate was such a happy guy. Glancing at the ice cream, she licked it and damn… Best ice cream she had ever! Nate spoke and he went off again to go to the central plaza…? 

Taking a bite, she soon went after him. He was going pretty slow, so she wasn’t worried about losing him. The buildings made her wonder just what it was like inside. There were plenty of them so there had to be some weird stuff going on in one of them. Sometimes, she’d be amazed at the weird things she saw back home. … Some situations got really awkward when she walk in on them.

They were at the central plaza and Nate was already seated. Of course, she sat next to him. Where else would she sit? “Yeah, it did. Hah, thanks Nate. I’m, uh, dealing with junk so I just got overwhelmed, ya know?” Dawn licked her ice cream. “This place is really neat too.” She was considering staying for awhile just to stay in this city for a bit. No one would miss her anyway, she did nothing all day usually. Other than work out and fight.

"It's fine. Everybody gets overwhelmed sometimes, right?" he tried to say in an assuring way. Hopefully she took it that way. "There's a lot in just this city," Nate said, elaborating on what she may have asked him earlier. "There's a Gym here, there's ah...um...Aw crap I forgot what all's here, really! I usually just come for the ice cream and the view, heheh..."

Now THAT was embarrassing! Forgetting what's in your own region? Nate please! 'D'oh! Think Nate, there has to be SOMETHING you can remember...' He stuffed his face with ice cream to buy some thinking time, since it's rude to talk with your mouth full. Of course, Dawn is manly so she might not give a fuck about table etiquette around little old Nate anyway.

"Ah..well...there's a cruise liner I guess. The Royal Unova. There are trainers on board, but you can also just enjoy the view!" he finally perked up. "And, if there's not enough here Nimbasa City isn't that far away and there's a lot there, too!" Nate's curiosity kicked in though. If Unova was this impressive to Dawn, what was Sinnoh really like then? Did Cynthia romanticize things a little bit? "So uh...what's Sinnoh like? I've been just talking about Unova the entire time, so maybe you should tell me a bit about Sinnoh!"

"Heh. That’s good." The only thing he had to keep in contact with his own family was his Pokégear. Even though he kept it on his person at all times, Green had a habit of forgetting he even owned the thing. Seemed like they kept making ‘em smaller.

Pidgeot smoothly followed the sudden move, setting in a diving motion. Green momentarily tightened his grip on the bird’s neck feathers to keep his balance, and actually managed to set feet on the ground without stumbling. The brunet took the time to observe his surroundings, and he had to admit, the sole size of that building had him impressed. They didn’t have anything like that in Kanto, that’s for sure.

He stretched, arms behind his head, letting his jacket and shirt ride up his stomach and exposing a certain amount of fair skin, before giving a nod.

"Yeah, I’m ready."

As ready as he’ll ever be. With a swift flick of his wrist, Pidgeot is recalled, and the Poké Ball is attached to the belt again. Let’s do this.

Let's do this indeed. With a small, almost nonexistent gulp, Nate lead Green through the gate and into the Studio Backlot. The place was almost like a giant theme park in a way. You had beautiful theatres, sets, and statues pretty much every where you looked. People all around filming, taking photos, doing make up, just about everything. Up on the 'Now Playing' boards were Nate's latest productions; 'Ghost Eraser' and 'The Giant Woman'. Both of them had grossed pretty high at the box office, and Nate's grinning mug was plastered on both posters.

"Those are the movies I shot recently that are playing right now," he said. "They release 'em to the theatre in almost no time at all! They're real fast when it comes to editing and post production crap!" Though Green said he had had no time for filming a shot, Nate lead him over that way anyhow. "This is where you sign up if you wanna film a shot. They're always looking for new recruits everyday to fill up their scripts!" If there was one thing Nate seemed to be good at, it was being a tour guide.

"And almost everything else is just sets, props, gift shops, trailers, you name it. It's all here!" he boasted, placing his hands on his hips and looking around. He turned his head back at Green and gave him a rather goofy grin. "So now you've seen it. Pretty cool, right?"

The majestic bird crouched down, and Green easily climbed on, resting his knees just above the wing joints. He took pride in how well taken care of every single member of his team looked, and Pidgeot was no exception.

The bird took off, following Nate and his oversized bat on Green’s instructions. Once in close range, he glanced down, watching Unova spread out like a colourful self-made blanket, and listened to the other trainer as he pointed out various cities. It made him itch, wanting to travel more. Perhaps he could find a temporary replacement for his gym some time.

"I hope you visit your mom a lot."

Green knew he didn’t visit his sister nearly as much as he should, which was something that bothered him a lot. It would be nice to be able to sit down somewhere that feels like home, for once.

"Huh?! Well, of course I do!" He said. "I also call her alot on my XTransciever. She'd bust my gut if I didn't, haha!" Adding that, he pointed to the strange watch-like gadget on his wrist. "Most Trainers in Unova call each other on these," he explained, pretty sure Green had never seen the likes of such a thing before.

That minor distraction though almost had Nate missing Virbank City. Whoops! You almost done goofed, though you could've blamed it on the sexy bastard behind you at least! Crobat took a sharp dive down, surprising Nate a little. "Wah! Here already?!" Yeah, this flight had been a little faster paced than the one he had with Dawn a week ago.

Once they got there, he stumbled off of Crobat and returned him to his ball. He looked over at Green and chuckled drly; not really embarassed, but not completely confident either. Once again he used the oppourtunity to get a good look at him. Shaking his head, he pointed to the gate just behind them and the Pokémon Center.

"That's where PokéStar Studios is. You ready, Green?"

Of course he does. Green’s Pidgeot is, next to his Eevee, his strongest pokémon, after all. Not that Nate knows this, nor does Green expect him to. Not when Kanto and Unova are four regions apart.

He got up smoothly, letting his Eevee climb up to his shoulder before making his way after Nate with strong, confident strides, and offered the other a smirk when he looked back. He’s got Nate wrapped around his finger and he knows it.

The gentle breeze outside blew strands of hair into his face that he brushed aside with practised ease before plucking a sphere from his belt and maximizing it. With just one click of the button—

Pidgeot opened his beak, letting out his usual battle cry.

"Geot!" Black eyes settled on their trainer curiously.

"Lead the way."

"Woah..." He sort of marveled at the magnificent bird Pokémon before mounting Crobat. Normally he wouldn't be this interested in a common bird like Pidgeot, but it's Green, so everything is interesting to him. Maybe he shouldn't be blindly trying to do this? Nah, it's not like he has you on a leash or anything. That's what he tells himself.

"Alright, I'll lead. Crobat, to Virbank!" Of course, his ride knew exactly what this meant and took off, with Nate once again double checking to make sure Green was right behind. You'd be hard pressed to call this a date because there's only attraction and emotionless seduction going on here, but nevertheless it was a thing and it was happening.

"You can kind of see an overview of Unova from way up here," he said, not wanting the flight to be silence. One by one he pointed out the cities as they went by them. Particularly, he pointed out his home town, Aspertia. "That's where I live. My friend Hugh lives there too. And my mom..." He kinda missed being at home, but he's sure he'd bore Green with his tea and cookies if he made a stop on the way there

Bullseye. Green had finally remembered where he’d seen that cute face. Posters were practically inescapable, and at one point the gym leader had taken a look at one, despite not having been that interested. Guessing that Nate would be wanting to talk about movies seemed the most logical conclusion. Apparently he was actually a pretty decent actor from the things Green had heard, but the brunet hadn’t actually put two and two together until just now. Made him wonder if the kid was always that clumsy.

"Zombies? Sounds like my kind of thing." Horror flicks were about the only kind of movies Green would ever watch. "Too bad I don’t have the time to participate."

Hell, he’d probably be a hit, but we don’t want the poor man to be crushed under his own massive ego now do we.

"Say, Nate, why don’t you show me where you make those movies? I’m pretty interested."

"Y-You are?! That's great! I hope you have a Pokémon that can Fly. It's aways from here in Driftveil." He spoke, slowly gaining a little more confidence. He thought he was hooking Green, but the reality was that he was hooking him. And by hook, I mean that the hook is half way through his digestive track from biting the bait so hard.

He slowly walked towards the double doors, readying his trusty Crobat's Pokéball once again for flight duties. He kept looking back at Green to make sure he was following...but also to check him out because seeing him standing up and walking does way more justice to his magnificent figure than seeing him flopped on the sofa with an Eevee in his lap, though the whole "throned king" look suited him rather well.

'J-Just keep cool, just like you did with Dawn. Even then you might just make Green Oak not look down on you...maybe...' His heart was pounding. He felt hot, but it was probably half from being nervous, and half from Green being the man of his dreams. Outside the breeze felt much better against his flushed skin, and he let out his bat-mobile. Nate stood and waited patiently for Green to do the same.

Ah yes the sweet, sweet sight of impressing someone. It just made him look that much more smug, not that it was a bad look on him (quite the contrary, really).

"Obviously. I was invited to participate for that very reason, just like many gym leaders from the other regions. I rarely get any good challengers at my place, so it was a nice change of pace."

A sigh escaped him, and he ran a hand through his spiky hair. That might be exaggerating a bit too much. He had to tone it down for challengers to win his badge, after all, and a handful of them did show promise.

"I like to come here regularly. Makes me feel like the trainer I used to be."

Yeah, that was still something of a sore subject for him, but responsibility has to be taken, y’know.

"Strength is subjective anyway. What kind of movies? I haven’t had the time to find out much more about Unova."

And in that moment, Nate swore Green was psychic. The hairs on his arms stood up. He had no idea how Green managed to figure out he was gonna talk about PokéStar studios and being in their films. Somehow this just made him even more attractive though. Shit. This guy was a magnet.

"Well, I uh...all kinds of movies really! I've been in ones with zombies and ghosts, ones with super heroes and stuff...even one where this girl grows really big and tries to kill me! It's pretty wacky." Making hand gestures as he said this to sort of emphasize things, but it just looked kinda ridiculous.

"It's open to anyone who has Pokémon and it's alot of fun! You could even be a movie star here if you wanted." he added. 'Thinking about it...I am kind of a celebrity back on the backlot huh?' he mused quietly. Green certainly had the look and the act down for a star. Maybe seeing him do a movie would allow him to get to know him better. Just maybe.

It’s always nice to have people compliment you. Green absolutely revelled in it. He practically lived on praise. So to have someone gush over him like that positively boosted his already big ego. Careful there, you’ll still want to go through doorways later, kiddo.

"Hah, I’m not the eighth Kanto gym leader for nothing," he boasted. "I was the champion before that."

Oh, he had plenty of lady admirers, but they very rarely interested him enough for Green to pay attention to them longer than ten minutes at a time. Even if he did, any and all relationships didn’t last longer than a week or so. Cool? Psh, cold as a blizzard more like.

The taller leaned forward, that kind of expression on his face.

"Nate’s a cute name. I’m Green, Green Oak."

"G-Green Oak?! No way! You ARE the Kanto Champ! I..." He stopped for a moment. He remembered Red's team and kind of laughed. He was wondering how the fuck Red ever managed to beat this guy with that wimpy ass team of his. Then again, he didn't want to ask right away and risk surfacing a nasty side of Green he didn't want to see right now. At least his brain had SOME control in this pivotal moment.

'No way this can be real!' he thought. 'Just no way!!!' "I just... holy shit man..." he had no idea who he was standing before. Now he REALLY knew he didn't have a chance. But it was too late. "So, uh...you come here often? I guess you must have been invited here for a reason." he asked. "I mean, being the champ and all, you almost have to be here because super strong trainers from around the world gather here!"

He sort of hung his head down sheepishly, then lifted it back up, arms behind his head. "I wish I could say I was strong, and I beat the Unova champ, but really I'm nobody worth half the people's time here." he said. Personally, he liked making movies more anyway...

Wait, that's it! He just MIGHT be on par with Green if he bent the truth a little bit and said he was a movie star. Nate you just may be a genius...but you're actually just a giant fucking dork. Don't oversell yourself.

It was interesting to see the change of expressions and his nervous chatter, only serving to amuse Green further. Something about this guy screamed familiarity, but he simply shrugged it off.

"Good to know you’re all right," he mused, using his other hand to smooth out his starter’s fur. Eevee simply turned his nose up, unimpressed.

"Does it? I do take good care of myself," the gym leader laughed. "Nervous, huh. Don’t worry, I don’t bite." As what appeared to be an afterthought, he added, "Not very hard, at least."

Whoops, there he goes again. Never sure if the flirting is intentional or not. Don’t worry though, he just thinks you’re ridiculous.

Finally, Green took the moment to properly observe the other brunet’s face. Cute, definitely. Maybe still a tad childish but that never hurt anyone. He’d be lying if he said he wouldn’t be interested.

"So, why did you approach me? Were you that impressed?"

He grins, only half joking.

"Well...uh..." Nate'd be lying if he said he wasn't impressed with just his looks alone, but he didn't want to flirt and be called a flaming faggot for it. He knew nothing about him and chances are he had hundreds of lady friends crawling over him anyway. 'You don't have a chance...' he tried to rationalize.

It was little use. All he can do is act foolish.

"Actually...yeah." he admitted with a chuckle, blushing harder than before. "I-I have to admit though you feel like you're a really strong trainer, too!" he added. "You seem so cool..." Nate continued to slowly slump into sort of a gushing thing. Why was he falling apart in front of this guy jesus christ?! Nate, even despite being gay, has never fallen so hard just LOOKING at a guy. At yet here he was just...

But he momentarily shook it for a second. "Who are you anyway...? And uh! My name's Nate! Yeah," he said.

Occasionally he would just close up his gym and go do whatever. Whatever being going places to train, finding new people to battle, stretch his legs. Being cooped up in that building all day doesn’t do a person’s sanity much good.

Somehow, Green had found himself in the lobby of the World Tournament. He didn’t mind, really, only the best of the best were allowed in, after all. And no one would deny that he was in fact, one of the greatest. After one particularly tight battle, the brunette had taken to simply sitting in the lounge, absently patting the Eevee that accompanied him everywhere, watching the comings and goings of other trainers. In the back of his mind, he wondered if anything exciting would happen.

Brown eyes swept across the hall, over a couple younger trainers. It brought back half-buried memories of his own younger years (god Green you sound like you’re 30 stop). Eventually he settled back into his more comfortable position, letting the tiny fox on his lap curl up for a nap. He wasn’t startled out of his stupor until this kid literally dropped down in front of his feet, practically launching his Eevee from his lap.

"Hey, you okay?" he questioned, chuckling. "No need to fall for me like that."

In a swift motion, he held out his hand for the other to pull himself up on. He was pretty cute, Green had to admit.

He looked up at the nearly-a-man sitting in front of him. God DAMN he was good looking. Handsome was an understatement; this guy was an instant boner just add water kind of deal. How did he get such gorgeous looks. Dazed for a minute, he was broken out of it by his hand being held out and his words. Nate couldn't help but laugh awkwardly. "It doesn't happen often I swear!"

Latching on, Nate helped himself up. "I'm okay though! A little fall wont hurt me..." 'Geez, he must think I'm some kind of idiot...' he thought. Getting a close up look at him though was something else. He could feel the blood rushing to his face and it was totally humiliating. It made his ochinchin feel weird Nate knew he was totally engaged just by this guy's looks.

"Uh...nice hair there. It looks really clean and shiny!" he said impulsively. 'WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! NATE YOU BIG IDIOT!!!' his mind was screaming, but just between us his mind probably wasn't doing the talking anymore, so it was futile anyway. He flashed the Eevee a cute, yet embarrassed smile before looking back at it's owners stupendous appearance.

It was an ordinary day for Nate. No unusual distortion shenanigans today, and it's been awhile since anybody's warped into the place and bumped into him. He was just kind of hanging out in the World Tournament Lobby. You know, just chillen. He had just gotten out of a tournament victorious, though it was a tough fight for him. "Haa, I think that's a wrap for today huh, guys?" He said, looking down at them. "Now we should go back and hone in our movie making skills!" But then, something caught the corner of his eye.

He looked over in the sofas where people from the tournaments hang out after they closed. He saw someone sitting there he hadn't before. His golden brown hair looked almost orange, glowing in the sunlight from the overhead glass. He shone with a radiance unlike any other he'd ever seen, but he also gave off an aura of being really powerful. He was a trainer, and a damn good one.

...and also damn good looking too. 'Woah....who IS that guy?' he pondered. He could feel his heartbeat getting louder. Was he...? He had just thought about this the other day, but he didn't really expect the confirmation notice this soon. Nate's curiosity overwhelmed him. He just had to know. Unfortunately, the moment he walked towards him, Nate completely stumbled all the way to the area and tripped, landing right in front of the magnificent bastard himself. 'Aw shit now he's gonna KNOW I'm a loser!'

Dawn let out a laugh at his reaction. This kid was really nice and wimpy as expected. Well, not wimpy just… Soft or something. There weren’t enough words in her vocabulary to describe Nate. “It’s just how I tell people that I’m your friend and I’ve got your back!” She shrugged, “There aren’t many things I’m good at, so that’s the best I can do.” Maybe he just wasn’t the type to mess with people? Lame.

He went off and she followed after him. The buildings seemed like they never ended! Dawn looked up to see how high up they went. Accidentally, she strayed away from Nate. That guy wasn’t too far away, so she didn’t worry much. Slowly, she walked up to him. Fuck, this place was so cool! 

Anyway, Ice Cream. “I don’t care much.” She said. Sweets really weren’t her thing, but whatever. It’d be fine this one time and trying new things was what people do when they visit other regions. Not that she planned on coming here. Might as well take advantage of it. “Uh, so what else is there to see?”

Paying for the frozen treats, Nate handed Dawn's ice cream to her. He was already bringing his up to his face and taking a big bite out of it. Yes! Tasty as usual! Castelia Cones never let you down on a hot summer's day! "What else there is to see?...Well, there's the central plaza, where I thought we could eat our ice cream, it's just a little further up the street. Come on!"

And without thinking very much he was off again. Slowly, but still walking towards the central plaza. Man, it'd been awhile since he came here. Various memories of his journey were here. One in particular came to mind, but now wasn't the time to get distracted thinking about crazy scientists he met in the park yesteryear.

Sitting down on a bench, he beckoned Dawn to sit next to him, being friends and all that fun stuff. "So...it looks like my strategy to make you feel better worked!" he said, cheerfully pointing out how happy she seemed just coming to the city. 'Yeah! It totally had to have!' he thought. 'I'm not screwing up for once! Or maybe we're both just awkward and it was meant to happen...nah, what are the chances of that?'

Landing had gone well, but she was still a bit dazed. Snapping back to reality, she got off her poke. Her cheek’s redden a little due to her embarrassment for being out of it. “Thank you.” She said to her Flygon and returned the dragon to their ball. Placing the ball back to it’s rightful pocket, Dawn looked around and was amazed. It was a huge place and the buildings were way tall. Ships were around too… What an awesome place to be at!

The girl adjusted her hat, “It’s amazing! This is probably one of the coolest place I’ve ever been to!” It was cool, but she was still very impressed by Sunyshore City. Well, it was a crappy place, but the walkways were fun. “What else is in this region?” Dawn asked excitedly. There was a lot to learn and she wanted to know more about other regions now. Just imagine how many tough trainers were out there!

She couldn’t stop admiring the city. This region was far more advance than Sinnoh. The only good city at Sinnoh was Jubilife. It had a lot to offer, but she was barely there. This experience made her want to become a traveler, which she planned on. Looking at Nate, she grinned. “Hey, if anyone ever says shit ‘bout ya, I’d be willin’ to punch ‘em out.”

"Aw, there's SO much in Unova! There's stuff like -- Wait, huh?!" He was legitimately surprised that Dawn would punch someone for him. The concept was just sort of foreign to him, even if he was a man. it's like "woahj why would you punch people to avenge your friends man." He just sort of blinked, his jaw slightly a gap and a strange, soft, croaking noise coming out of his mouth. "Whaaat? Ahahaha, oh man, there's no need to punch people for me really I can take care of myself!" 'Then again, someone having my back for something besides big bad guys might be nice...' he thought.

"So uh, the ice cream place is just down this way!" He said, darting off in the direction of one of Castelia's many streets. Of course he was headed for the famous Castelia Cone stand, because it was only one of the best soft serves in the entire region. Plus, there was a beautiful central park to sit and eat it in so it was a sweet deal, right? At least he thought so.

"I hope you like Vanilla," he said. As Nate looked at her, he could really tell she was taking in the sights. Maybe she'd stick around longer in Unova and they'd get to hang out more. That'd be pretty swell! At least in his mind. But she probably has a lot of friends and family back home she misses. Sad.

"The only thing that’ll be delicious is the sweet taste of victory! Which—" and barry stumbles a bit over his words here, witty dialogue has never been his thing, but he thinks he sort of has the hang of what he wants to say in this case.

"YOU… won’t be tasting, ‘cause I’M gonna— I’m gonna WIn!…N?!"

…Barry feels his face flooding with heat, good Lord, that was positively awful— he wastes no time wallowing, however, seeing as how the battle has already started by the time he is half way done with his statement. Regaining the confidence in his posture, the blond pushes onward without hesitation and pretends that sad excuse of a come back was ever uttered.

"OH, whatever! You’re gonna lose, buddy!!!” Yeah, he doesn’t need any special words to make that apparent! Especially with the kid’s cocky choice in pokemon— it’s like he’s asking to be pounded in the completely non-sexual way. The aura sphere is a good call, Barry guesses… it hits the bird pokemon head on, and it falls a few feet from its place in the sky—

"Staraptor, c’mon! Keep yourself together, and use fly!"

Oh boy, Nate was sure in trouble now! His opponent had the advantage AND was using a strong STAB move AND was invulnerable to further attacks. Shit. Shit. Fuck. Fuck. Nate made a critical mistake right off the bat and there was no saving it now! Unless Fly somehow missed, but that was highly unlikely. 'He really is gonna make me eat my words isn't he?!' he thought to himself. 'Well...I hope they taste good...'

"Lucario, charge another Aura Sphere! ...Not that it even matters at this point." 

As expected, Lucario didn't hit. He looked up in the sky at the Staraptor just waiting to go in for the kill. Just waiting. He was hoping it wouldn't be a knock out. Just then he might have a chance. A small chance. Probably not enough to win. Well shit fuck.

Platinum was absolutely relieved. “Unova is distant, but it is certainly no trouble to return to," he said, giving a (hopefully-)comforting smile. “If you’d like, I can help arrange a boat ride for you."

"Y-You can?! I can get back home?!" he shouted, equally relieved. 'Phew! This guy saved my can!' he thought. 'I thought I was lost forever for a second there.' His anxiety of not being able to go home changed to anxiety of wanting to get back. He sorta kinda bounced in place for a second like an excited toddler before assuming a sort of begging pose in front of Platz. "Please Sir! I'd love if you could do that for me!"

"I’m used to it, but I guess it is! It’s nice sometimes, like winter all-year long! Only in some places, that is." Dawn spoke cheerfully. Biking in snow was different than playing in snow. It was so fun to her! A lot of things could be done. Throwing snowballs at people was the best thing ever to her. During her journey, she was heading to Snowpoint City… Instead she just threw snowballs at random trainers for hours! 

Her eyes followed to where he had pointed, and she was quite amazed. Nate was being serious when he said it was a big city! None of the cities in Sinnoh could compare to this one! Dawn never knew going to other regions would be so exciting! She was convinced that she’d done a lot already, but there was always more to see. 

Dawn had dazed out a bit, but her trusty dragon knew what to do. It had been one of those moments where she thought about her future. There was so much to do and so much time… The more she was stuck on it, the less time she had! Eventually, she would have to stop lazying around. A problem was, she didn’t have a dream of any sort. Can’t she just beat people up for the rest of her life?

Right in front of the Pokémon Center on the main line of peers that circled the city was their destination. Landing engaged and went smoothly, though Nate stumbled a little dismounting Crobat. He returned the bat back to it's ball, and he waited for his new friend to do the same. Yes, at this point Nate would consider themselves friends. Then again, he seems to be kind of a magnet to the tougher kind of crowd.

"Welp, we're here!" the boy announced. He patted his hair down a little and glanced over at Dawn. "Isn't it cool?! I was sooooooo floored when I first saw this place. It was like WOAAAAAAH!!" 'I wonder if she's ever even seen a big city like this before...' he thought. 'I bet Sinnoh's gotta have something like this too, right?!' 

The boy got a little distracted rambling about the city. He hadn't been here in awhile and he kinda felt like he had to play tour guide for Dawn since it sounded like she'd never seen another region in her life. He wanted her to get the full experience out of her visit to Unova.
