[SMS: Picture Message!]
[SMS: Craig 💕🔥] Thought you might like to see what I’m wearing. 💕
[SMS: Craig 💕🔥] My parents are gone and my sister is out, I’m home alone… You could come over?
Firkle licked his lips slightly as he finally put the phone down, having taken a selfie that he could be proud of. It only took thirty minutes of posing and trying to find a good angle for the best picture. He just hoped that this would be worthwhile; he really didn’t want to be alone. After a second thought, he decided on another text.
[SMS: Craig 💕🔥] I stole some weed from Franny’s boyfriend, so I’ve got some?
[SMS: Firk Received 12:24am] Craig’s eye’s drifted across his phones screen. He laughed. Not at the picture, but at the fact one was sent at all. He took a long drag of the cigarette perched between his chapped lips.
[SMS: Firk Received 12:32am] That meant getting off the couch. His arm came to rest behind his head, Red Racer theme song in the distance.
[SMS: Firk Received 12:45am] His stash was low. Sold.
Craig forced himself up, grabbing his kedds before slowly climbing the stairs. The house was silent. Thomas at the bar, Laura working a double, Ruby out with Karen.
[SMS: Firk Sent 1:04am] omw.

its-butters-stotch:
Butters grinned happily when Craig agreed to go with him, smiling sweetly at the janitor. He went into the library, happy that the librarian wasn’t there yet “So!” he said, walking over to the comfy seats and sitting down “Want tea now?” he asked, taking out his thermos and pouring himself a cup, going to take a sip from it before handing it to Craig “Drink it… Or i’ll talk more~” he said with a cheeky grin. Butters knew he talked too much, but it didn’t bother him whenever people had said it. He giggled a little and got out his art workbook, going back to finishing the drawing he was working on “So… How’s your week been…” he asked nervously after a moment, trying to ease into the topic of Craig being… Well… Homeless… “Um…. Good… I hope?”
Craig collapsed into the chair, dust jumping from the fabric and floating past his wind chapped face. The librarian wasn’t there. That meant Butters could chat away to his hearts content.
“I really don-” Craig’s voice faded into the stark silence of the library. The steam rising from the thermos, joining the dust. “Fine”
Taking a small sip Craig’s nose scratched at the taste before handing it back to the Blond. He hated tea. Sliding down the chair, his knees brushing the small table between them, he sighed. Butter’s was dancing around the obvious, trying to be polite. Fuck that. Everyone would find out soon enough.
“If you have something to ask, Butters. Just do it.”
"Sometimes I wonder why I'm even here."
Violent and Dark Starters
“It’s probably because, despite appearances, we’re all secretly pussies.” Firkle offered absently, leaning into Craig’s side in his basement. He pulled out his pack of cigarettes again, shook it, and sighed. What did he think he would find? That the two that were in there before had finally reproduced and given him a full pack? Sighing a little, he pressed his cheek further into the other’s chest and closed his eyes.
“We want it all to end, but when it really comes down to it, we’re groomed from such an early age to believe that death is scary and horrible and not as good as life. Even when we’re done, when we can’t take anymore, there’s that… Little voice in the backs of our minds, telling us that it’s not worth not knowing what’s next.” By now, he was absently inspecting the nail polish on his fingers, sighing at the single chip he noticed, even in the dull light.
“…Unless that’s not what we’re talking about. Do you mean here, with me?”
preludetotragedy:
Up in a flash behind the other, he handed the cigarette back and tried to weasel his way into getting the vodka. If Craig’s parents were at it again, he was probably going to stay, too. After all, he got enough familial abuse at home, he didn’t need to add to it.
“I… I don’t. I wear it because I like it.” And because he was ugly without his makeup. He sighed a little, “My ‘faggy friends’ are mostly gone, anyway. Michael’s in college, Pete went to join him, Henrietta is in Wyoming with her new girlfriend…” Now, he almost sounded too sad, grabbing the bottle again, “I’m all that’s left, and I still wear all of this. So shut up.”
“So, you really were talking about me, right? Being here, with me?” Half of him wanted to bust out the syringe and bottle in his backpack, but he thought better of it. “Because I dunno, I kind of thought you liked the ability to get your dick sucked on demand.”
Fuuuuck. Why couldn’t he just keep his moth shut?
Craig took another swig before giving in and handing Firkle the bottle. This night was not going his way. All he’d wanted to do was smoke, watch some Red Racer, maybe fall asleep early -- but no. Firkle had squirmed his way in. Laura’s muffled voice could be heard above yelling something or other.
“Maybe that’s cause you’re too afraid to move the fuck on.”
Craig sighed loudly, his eyes rolling into the back of his head. Firkle was getting huffy, and huffy wasn’t a good look on that kid.
This thing they had going -- whatever it was, it was getting bothersome. He chose his next words with out thought.
“Ever notice how I’m not the one who initiates that?”

Yo, Craig. Can I bum a cig?
Ugh. The littlest McCormick. What was with this family and bumming his Cigarettes?
Craig’s tongue pressed against the inside of his cheek, as he reached into his pocket fishing out an unfiltered fag. He placed it between his lips and lit the end, Ruby’s voice echoing in his head. Craig had to be nice. He handed it to her.
karebear-mccormick:
“Alright, whatever you say Tucker.” She shrugged, “Don’t know why ya got a problem with me.” She muttered, raising an eyebrow at the older.
“Don’t feel too bad. I have a problem with everyone.”
He lit himself a cigarette. Taking a deep draw he looked at Karen. Truth be told the youngest McCormick wasn’t all that bad, he wouldn’t be smoking with her if he thought she was, but Craig loved to try and piss people off.

preludetotragedy:
“Maybe you should just say fuck it and go goth already. You’re pretty good at talking about life being shit. I think you might even be better at it than Michael.” Which was saying something, and was also a strange kind of compliment. He snuggled up against him a little more, reaching up for what was in the other’s hand, not caring what kind of smoke it would produce, so long as he could smoke it.
“At least I don’t pretend. There’s no point in faking it. Life fucking sucks, and there’s no reason to keep going. But we do, for some reason. Why? It’s not like kids like us are going to go anywhere.”
“Hey now. Don’t joke about that. The day I go goth put a bullet in my head. Ok?” Craig shot Firkle a look. Why did everyone steal his cigarettes? Standing without warning he crossed to the basement freezer. He pulled out a bottle of vodka and took a swig - the liquid claiming his throat. Someone slammed a door upstairs, dust falling from the support beams.
Not going anywhere, that seemed to be the consensus lately. Running the back of his hand cross his lips Craig smirked. “Don’t pretend? Please. You try too hard? If you really didn’t care you wouldn’t wear all that shit for the approval of your faggy friends.” The words were jagged, harsh like his natural tenor.
its-butters-stotch:
“Okay well um… wanna sit with me in the library while I have my warm tea?” He asked, biting his bottom lip nervously.
Butters grinned wide at that and nodded “Really! Oh gosh, sorry for not noticin’ y'Craig” he said, putting his bag back onto his shoulders.
He looked over at the school and smiled when he saw the janitors unlock the doors “C'mon, its warmer inside” he said, quickly taking Craig’s hand and tugging him along to go inside of the school, sighing happily as the heaters were turned on “Library is warmer cause of the insulation y'know, so many shelves an’ books” he giggled.
What else was there to do? Sit in his cold ass car.
“Why not” The words were forced, drawn out-- a defeat. Craig knew better than to fight Butters. The kid was persistent. He’d get under your skin with kindness. The library would be warm. There are rules in the library. The library is silent. Butters, usually follows the rules. Craig could try to understand his Calculus homework.
Craig took a long draw from his cigarette. As long as Butters didn’t bring up the obvious fact he’d been sleeping in his truck they’d be fine.
“It’s not like I’m there much” Craig Tucker was well known for skipping class, for being suspended, or for sleeping in the back and yet he was passing everything -- he was doing better than just passing. It hadn’t always been that way, but realizing school’s the only real way to get out of this town really ups the dedication.
Craig sighed when Butter’s grabbed his hand -- dropping his half smoked cigarette. Here they went. Into the jaws of hell. The janitor nodded at Craig, Craig avoided his gaze. Butter’s pulled him down the halls, past the gym, past the office, and to the Library.

karebear-mccormick:
“Ruby’s my best friend. She doesn’t tolerate me. She actually enjoys my company.” They mumbled, raising an eyebrow.
“I tried to teach her. I really did.” Craig began, his voice teasing. “No taste that girl.”
