A short Suirei x Ah-Dou fic
Ah-Dou was not a jealous woman. She had once been the consort to the Emperor. She did not get jealous in matters of the heart.
Yet, as she watched a few of her guests fawn over her Lady in waiting ‘Sui’, she couldn't help the pit in her stomach.
Ah-Dou just had to grin and bear it; after all these women were her guests; court women she had been friendly with in her youth.
And only two of the five women seem particularly interested in her Suirei.
She could handle this tea party. It was to be a brief event overall, since the Southern Villa held many secrets.
They were only passing through. She just had to deal with this for a little longer.
One of the women touched Suirei's cheek. Ah-Dou nearly dropped her cup.
Suirei, at least, seemed to shy away and excused herself. Finally, she was getting away from those vultures.
“Are you alright, Lady Ah-Dou?” One of the visitors asked.
“Yes, of course,” she forced a smile. “Just a little tired.”
The tea party continued on until finally, her guests took their leave.
She immediately went to Suirei's room, “Had fun?” She asked the younger woman.
Suirei looked up from her novel, “Not really. Your friends are a bit overbearing.”
Ah-Dou smirked, “What? You don't like to be fawned over?” she teased.
“No, my lady. Not by anyone but you.”
Ah-Dou walked over and took Suirei's novel. “In that case, allow me to fawn.”
She laid her head on Suirei's shoulder, “Suirei, I have learned I do not like others handling what is mine.”
“Yes. All mine,” Ah-Dou gently kissed Suirei's shoulder.
