i don't know if this post will make any sense, but just in case, I'll clarify it from the outset so that dumbasses don't come and bother me because i don't have any patience these days

but the fact that actors are coming out to say that the whole alternative ending (conformitygate) was nonsensical seems nothing short of idiotic to me. yes, they have contracts and probably can't say a damn thing, but it's a stupid statement and requires no further analysis

regardless of whether you believed in that theory or not, it's totally undeniable that the fans did a SPECTACULAR job. not only did they find inconsistencies, but they also came up with theories that could have saved the asses of that bunch of useless people who ruined the series

and I like being part of that "nonsense" too, because I've seen so many expressions of art in so many different ways. and I'm amazed, i mean, my english writing skills are a piece of shit and my painting skills are a tremendous piece of shit too, like my contributions are ZERO (im sorry 😭) but every time i open any social media, in this community, I see something exceptional, and part of me believes that all those derogatory comments come from people who don't appreciate the fans that they have and the endless creativity that exists if we just pay attention

anyway, I hope to continue finding fics with all the different points of view and that really appreciate what semiotic analysis of the image is

Got the sticker book today. I thought about it buying it back in Nov but I thought to myself “what the hellava am I going to do with all these stickers?” However because the show is over I thought what the hell. Whatever.

However I think this one of Dustin and Dart is just adorable. He should have stuck to the frisbee appendage.

Will’s S4 crush was one sided and in S5 he’s coming to terms with his sexuality. It’s wonderful that he has Robin as a mentor as she’s been through the experience of being in the closet while loving someone who didn’t love her back and now she’s found someone who accepts her for who she is. The mid to late 1980’s was very difficult for queer teenagers and the rise of AIDS and the satanic panic with the religious right standing on a soapbox just made things worse. GenX went through the shit and the reason why younger generations can’t figure out why we are the way we are is because they simply were not there. You can be enamored of a decade (which a lot of people are I’ve noticed) and collect the relics but unless you were alive at the time can you truly say you experienced it? No.

As for Stranger Things. IMO: Noah knows his own character better than anyone else as he’s been playing him since he was a kid and Will has been through hell. He faced abuse and abandonment at an early age at the hands of his father. Then he was abducted and abused again by forces beyond his control. People thought he died, he was experimented on not just by his own government but by the boss and his lieutenant in the upside down. On the right side up he faced bullying from peers in an era where there was only two boxes for kids, normal and acting out. As the show progressed he was dealing with puberty and his emerging sexuality. They moved away, now he had to deal with people in another state who were bullying his adoptive sister while he was trying to navigate a first crush on his best friend. On and on and back to Hawkins….

All I’m saying is I hope he gets the ending he deserves as this story started with him and by all rights and purposes, it should end with him.

Will he did get the ending he deserved. He traveled out of Hawkins, found himself in a large city (I’m assuming it’s Manhattan because of something Joyce said) where he would be more accepted for who he truly is and away from the horrors of his childhood and teenaged years. I loved that for him.
