With Liberty and Justice

Sometimes, people misunderstand other people. It's just a fact of life. Have you ever noticed that? It especially happens when they try to read each others thoughts or they assume people's motives. I hope I do not frequently fall into that trap. The reason that thoughts should be kept thoughts. Think about that. If the world always knew what people were thinking, we'd constantly be at war. Thoughts are for contemplation and not necessarily action.

Which one of us has not at some point thought to ourselves "I could just kill him." and yet.......never act upon it?

People truly should not judge or assume.

I cannot be coerced or manipulated. I stand firm in my convictions. Discernment. It's an important skill. Alan Dershowitz is ahead of his time. Fair and impartial. That's what I believe in.

Seeing

The ideal life is in our blood and never will be still. Sad will be the day for any of us when we become contented with the thoughts we are thinking and the deeds we are doing where there is not forever waiting at the doors of our soul some great desire to do something larger which we know that we were meant and made to do.

Support Judge Kavanaugh

I have had connection problems and have not been able to post reliably. Although I am a registered Republican, that doesn't mean that I blindly follow. Sometimes, I do vote for a Democrat. The few times I have, is when I see a man of character underneath the politics. I respect Sen. Joe Manchin for doing the right thing in supporting the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh. I do. Where I disagree with him is that he didn't support the people of WV. We voted for President Trump. That means that the majority of the people who voted for him SUPPORT him. It's what we call a Silent Majority. That is why our voices are sometimes drowned out by the people who loudly protest.

I honestly want to throw up right now.

When men (who were then teenagers) accused older men of sexually assulting them 30-50 years ago, these are things they did not hear:

You’re a liar

What were you wearing?

Were you drinking?

You sighed up to be an altar boy so you chose to be there, it’s your fault.

All men go through a phase where they are roudy

Boys will be boys

Why didn’t you come forward sooner?

If you can’t remember details you’re obviously lying

Is someone paying you to say this?

Those older men are good Christian men, they would never do that.

It was a missunderstanding

He was drunk and didn’t know what he was doing

You shouldn’t ruin a man’s life because of something that happened 30 years ago.

And yet this is what women are told.

Every.

Single.

Time.

Why is it we believe men but women are just sluts who are asking for it?

I think this repost has been taken out of context. I support women who legitimately have been abused. The problem comes with credibility. Just because someone says something doesn't mean it is true.

I was very proud of Sen. Manchin yesterday for doing the right thing and voting his conscience and doing what he knew was right. I may not agree with his politics all of the time but I certainly can respect him as a man. Maybe if he examined his heart, he would find that he aligned with a group that has a different mentality. Now, he is suffering the wrath of the Democratic Party that he has served. Maybe that one small detail will set off a light inside of him.
