back to you (cyrus)

Cyrus had never been good at admitting when he was having a hard time- especially if he felt as if he was handling it properly. Things were out of his hands now though, each and every encounter with Andy- whether it was in person or over the phone left him speechless in ways that weren’t pleasant, in ways that left him feeling raw and vulnerable. He had surges of confidence that would pass through his body only to be broken down when he saw the photos the man could have used against him. His body turned slightly on the couch, attempting to take another nap- doing what he could to just relax into the moment even though the other weighed heavily on his mind. It was almost Thanksgiving, maybe if he escaped for a few days he could push the scenario from his mind, maybe it would disappear.
The knock on his door caught his attention almost immediately, not sure if he wanted to push himself out of bed to open it for the other. There weren’t very many people who visited him these days- but the thought of it being either Spartak, Jared or Isaac had him moving, even if it was rather slowly. With a tired body, and a sore backside, he shuffled across the room to look through the peak hole. No one? With another knock, he shook his head, a bit confused as he tried to see just who it was.
Groaning, he rolled his eyes before putting a small smile on his face as he opened the door, “You should stand a bit-” His words stopped falling from his mouth the instant he saw the blue eyes and blond hair- the tall figure in his doorway he had missed so painfully. His voice could only substitute the real thing for so long before Cyrus realized he longed to actually touch the other. No more words could fall out as he quickly threw his body forward, arms wrapping around Reece’s neck tightly, wanting the familiar body close to him, a soft cough and choked noise leaving his lips, “What are you doing here?” He questioned his head ducking into the man’s collarbone. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming…”
He always had to give his two cents, laughing as Cyrus was in the middle of saying something to the ghost in the hallway - that was until he laid eyes on him and Reece's heart immediately quickened in pace. He was just as beautiful as the last day he'd seen him, although you could tell he looked rather worn and tired, which puzzled and unsettled him although he remained silent.
His arms wrapped around the other in a tight embrace, not wanting to let go but he knew he'd have to, so he did so at a slow pace as he took a step around Cyrus to get into his room so he wouldn't have to be in the hall for too long. He unzipped the jacket he'd been wearing, it becoming rather nippy outside this time of year, and tossed it onto the chair beside the couch as he turned back around to face Cyrus. "Here I thought showing up spontaneously was a grand romantic gesture?"
He grinned as he walked over to the couch and sat down, patting the spot beside him as he rested his arm on the back of the couch waiting to be able to scoop Cyrus up beside him. "I had to update a few servers," he gave him half the reason he was there - saving the other half, the more concerning piece, for another time. "Why aren't you home with the family?" He had half expected Cyrus to have left already with Thanksgiving only a few days away.
When Cyrus finally sat Reece pulled him close and brushed a kiss against his forehead, "I couldn't show up at the Haus and not see my favorite guy." He grinned, placing another peck on his forehead as he settled. "I've missed you," he whispered softly, relaxing back into the couch so that the pair of them could be more comfortable. Cyrus had definitely stolen his heart all that time ago, but Reece wouldn't have had it any other way. Since leaving he'd thought of no other man, it'd only been Cyrus on his mind as he devoted all his time and attention on Kennedy - and his job of course needing to pay the bills.
