It's been 6 months since I last posted.

It's been quite a long time since I've shown any strains of life online, hasn't it? I'm not saying I'm fully active again - due to my current field of work outside of the internet, my schedule is scattered all over the place - but I have been reading things as I come across them.

I miss role-play, of course.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get back into the groove of things. Maybe.

roleplay tip: Don’t be afraid to step out of your boundaries and talk to other characters. Don’t wait for them to talk to you. You should go talk to them.

Let’s be real, the rp community on tumblr is great and fucking terrible all at the same time. It’s a fine, fine line that it’s walking on.

I find myself losing sight of what I want to do with this account.

One day, I would very much like to role-play with as many of my followers as I can.

I'm here but then I'm not.

After SDCC ends, I'll try to come up with more helpful posts for those who feel like they need it.

last conversation.

I thought about the last conversation we had.

We talked about chicken nuggets -- how weird they were shaped but how good that they had tasted ("They're the golden nuggets of the fast food world," she had said proudly). That was the last conversation we had and the last time she was healthy enough to eat solid food. My last conversation with her was about chicken nuggets. That was our last conversation, the last thing we talked about -- chicken nuggets.

This morning the bad news was delivered to me. My best friend called. My best friend is a stronger person than I am -- he was my hero in high school, the warrior who fended away all the bullies, the doubts and fears (those weren't even his nor were they even mine); that was the first time I heard his voice waver, tremble even.

Six words was all he managed to choke out: "She's not going to make it."

Last night, his mother went in for an emergency surgery. I stayed up with him until 7 AM -- I tried to stay up later, it didn't work. I received the unwanted call a few hours later ...

Life is unexpected.

The reasons? Her organs shut down in the middle of the surgery. While the doctors attempted to fix that, her lungs were no longer providing enough oxygen to her brain. Her body had given up.

I ... there are many things that I wish I could say. Many more things that I wish could divulge but right now, there are more important things to do. I know there are plenty of people who know this has no significance to them but honestly, if you don't care, that's alright. I care and that's what matters.

If there's anything that you can take away from this, please just make sure the people you love know that you love them.
