ReelpowerOG has worked closely with drilling contractors and rig manufacturers to specifically design and manufacture Drill Line Spoolers and powered wire spooler that will improve operator SAFETY and REDUCE cycle TIME.

Drill line spoolers and powered wire spooler are designed to store drill line for a drilling rig. They are made to wind and unwind, with controlled tension, the drill line as the rig requires. The spoolers are designed for easy transport with certified lifting eyes and forklift pockets. Powered drill line spoolers increase safety by preventing over-run and taking up the slack, while speed up rig moves by quickly winding drill line thru traveling block back onto the drum.

Drill line spoolers and powered wire spooler with automatic level wind substantially reduces the footprint required on the drill floor, plus speeds up rig moves. The deadline anchor may even be mounted to the level wind, further reducing drill floor space.

ReelPower OG offers drill line spoolers in many configurations, sizes, and drive requirements depending on the exact customer needs. Both Land and Offshore rated spoolers available. Land spoolers may offer tail-boardable features. ReelPower OG’s Drill Line Spoolers are available for 3,000’ of ¾” to over 15,000’ of 2” drilling line.

Raw Water/Pre-Loading Reels:

Raw Water/Pre-Loading Reel Systems provide an effective means of storing, lowering, and retrieving a hose at the end of which an ESP (Electrical Submersible Pump) is attached and run below the ocean surface to deliver seawater to an elevated offshore structure. The systems can be retrofitted to an existing vessel or supplied for new construction.

Safety

Apart from replacing old Raw Water Towers on Jack-ups, Reel Power OG Raw water and Pre Loading Reel systems provide a safe and effective solution for raw water supply on offshore structures. The reel accommodates an OSD (oil suction & discharge) hose. At the end of the hose, a suitable submersible deep well pump is attached. The entire weight of the pump, motor, and accessories are supported by the hose alone, making it the most maintenance-friendly, hassle-free compact lightweight system available in the market place.

  Reel Power OG systems are capable of pulling up the pump in the shortest possible time, ensuring the least rig downtime and decreasing overall operating cost. The pumps can be quickly retrieved for inspection and maintenance at any time.

  A complete Seawater Lift system is comprised of a reel with the hose, power cable, safety cable, submersible pump/motor with all necessary controls. Single-speed pump control with soft start or variable frequency controls for better flow control are provided.

Depth Compensated Accumulators Provide Greater Volume to Meet Contract Requirements.

A leading drilling contractor has selected Reel Power Oil & Gas Depth Compensated Accumulators (DCBs) to retrofit to their Semisub deepwater drilling rig to increase available volume. The contract required more stringent sheering capabilities than existing equipment could handle. Adding additional conventional bottles was ruled out because of available space on the BOP. Several alternates for increasing volume were considered, but in the end DCBs were selected. The DCBs have proven to be extremely reliable with hundreds in operation and offer other advantages, including lower maintenance due to less equipment requirements and lower weight and space requirements due to high efficiencies especially at deeper water depths. In addition, once the nitrogen pre-charge is set, you don’t have to worry about changing for various water depths, saving non-productive time setting the pre-charge as well as minimizing calculations and personnel intervention. The DCBs are great for stack hopping!
