i have been plagued with the centipede autism, and this pmo soo much. if i were talking about true bugs i would specify, but more often than not it’s convenient to call any small invertebrate a bug. some people dont know the difference between an arachnid and an insect, and bug (colloquial) is a very good shorthand!
