“Mm, good morning. I’m Reeve. How’re you doing?”
[ Andrew Garfield ] Have you met REEVE CRANE? He’s a THIRTY-SIX year old BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER who can be BALANCED yet GUARDED.
Reeve grew up the oldest of three kids in a normal, middle class family. He’s struggled with some drug problems as a young man, but has been sober close to eight years now. Since he’s focused so much on his career and his own health, he hasn’t found time for love. He’s not the hottest guy in town, so he’s excited for the pods to experience connecting with a woman first based on their interests, and then hopefully building a physical connection.
“So I’m not saying it was me, but somebody broke open a RedBox near the Walmart, and I totally stocked up on movies.”
“Which one should we watch first?”
“Okay, I’ll totally switch for any job that isn’t keeping the bathroom clean… Gross.”
“Bathrooms were one of my chores here anyways. I can do it.”
“So, I found a bunch of blankets up in the attic, they smell like moth balls and dust, but I think there’s enough for everybody.”
“No, some of them are too special to use. They all have meanings. The ones that were out when everyone got here are the ones that we can still use for now. At least until I sort the attic.”
No one ever said it would be this hard...
rami-montgomery:
“Shit,” Rami muttered under his breath, raking his fingers through his hair. “No, not to bring more people in. But to like, make sure we’ve got the supplies and stuff we need for the eight of us to survive, since we don’t know what happened or how long the effects could be in the air or something.”
“A lot of us live--lived here,” Lumi sputtered, “There’s plenty of blankets and pillows. We have extra food storage in the basement too. We will have to ration it. Ration whatever we have to to survive. I don’t want someone stupid being in charge.”
sawyer-davies:
“I think everybody is just really overwhelmed. I mean, I also yelled, but I agree, we need to figure out where we go from here. What we need to do to survive.”
Lumi swallowed, a hard lump sat in the back of her throat. Without another thought, she just pulled the blonde in for a hug, “I’m so scared.”
lexie-stanton:
“Great! Let’s get out of here… Maybe we can grab some snacks or something on the way back.”
“Should we be afraid to go outside? There’s going to be so many people lying there. I’ve only seen dead bodies in the movies.”
reyna-collins:
“I mean, I don’t think that’s whats happening, but it’s good to be optimistic, I guess?”
“Yeah, it is. My mama always said so.”
rami-montgomery:
“Shit,” the man muttered, raking his fingers through his hair. “I’m not sure, and I wish I had an answer for you. I think our best bet would be to try and set this up as a fallout shelter or something. Go in teams to grab supplies and whatnot.”
“What’s a fallout shelter?” Lumi panicked, “I don’t want more people coming in.”
lexie-stanton:
“C’mon, let’s go see if we can find somebody who can give us answers. Is there a back way out? That Christian guy seems hellbent on keeping the doors shut, but you’d know this place better than anybody.”
“Yes. A back way out. Sometimes I’d sneak out to see my boyfriend. I’ll show you.”
sawyer-davies:
“I know this must be really difficult for you, but just know we’re all glad you’re letting us stay here.” The blonde smiled slightly. “I think that’s a great idea. Or at least, maybe track down a police officer and see if they know exactly what happened.”
“Yeah, doing anything is better than nothing. Doing anything is better than fighting. Why do they keep fighting?”
“This is my home. I want everyone to be safe too, but there’s already too many rules. I think we should go outside and try and help others. I don’t want to sit here and wait.”
lexie-stanton:
“Y-yeah, I think Ivy is still out there. We were taking our dogs for a walk and–” The blonde paused. “Let’s try to get them inside, and we can call 911 or something.”
“They’re all just laying out there like speed bumps.”
reign-montgomery:
“I tried that with my mom… And my sister. It doesn’t help.”
“It might. Maybe they’re all just asleep. Maybe someone is pranking us.”
rami-montgomery:
“I just watched 20 of mine and my fiance’s family members drop dead… I don’t think that’s going to help.”
“They can’t be gone,” Lumi cried, “Why is this happening?”
