@refined-love
It would be quite helpful…
If people listed in their bios where they were moving their blogs…
What he said!
Good point. I hate messing with my bio (ruins the links I’ve set up in them). I agree though.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
Not really, but how often do you get to throw in a Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy reference?
We’re going to log out of Tumblr for a few days, but we will check back at some point to see if there’s anything left of our blog. While we’re definitely going to miss this platform, we don’t plan for this to be the end of Refined-Love. We’ve already found many of our Tumblr friends on other sites, which is great, but what we haven’t yet found is a natural home for the awesome curator blogs that collect and show off work by others. Tumblr is (was) prefect for that. Maybe we’ll figure this out with time.
In the meantime, here is an update on how to find us:
MeWe: “Refined Love” : This looks like it will become our main home. The layout and design isn’t pretty, and it’s very different from Tumblr in how you post and share things, but after a steep learning curve we’ve found most of what we’re looking for at MeWe. We haven’t started in earnest there yet, but this is likely to become our most open and accessible platform.
Twitter: “@love_refined” : We’re still not sure what we’re going to do on Twitter, and it’s going to stay pretty locked down for a while at least. We suspect that this may stay that way and be limited to more personal connections. If we know each other, feel free to contact us there so we can stay in touch.
Ello: “@refined-love” : We’re keeping this open for a while, anyway. We like the look and it’s very nice for sharing photos, but a lot of our stuff is a bit too explicit for them. We’ll see how long this lasts.
MeWe
If anyone is migrating to MeWe from tumblr can you please reblog this with your MeWe username so we can find each other there ?

- These are stunning. And haunting. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for posting. We appreciate your appreciation of haunting images
Rorschach’s test
We’re going to count down to Tumblr’s Reverse Rapture by reblogging some of our and your favs from the past couple of years.
As noted previously, we’re looking at future options for Refined-Love, but haven’t committed to anything yet. In the meantime, you can find nascent/placeholder profiles here:
MeWe: “Refined Love” (this one might work, but we have to figure out how posting and the groups function)
Reddit: “refined-love” (idk if we’re dumb but we’re really struggling to figure this one out. We’re already banned from r/gonewild. Don’t have much hope for reddit)
Sharesome: “@Refined-Love” (we’ll see - it’s a bit too adult oriented for us. Not enough artsy stuff. Maybe it will grow)
Twitter: “@love_refined” (this is going to stay locked down for a while. Feel free to put in a follow request, but please be patient. This is the one that we’re really not sure how we want to use, and how opened up we want it to be. We’ll open the doors when we’re ready)
Ello: “@refined-love” (mostly artsy, not very explicit stuff. We’re posting some Tumblr favourites there as a trial run. We’ll see if it sticks)
The future of Refined-Love
Hello Friends!
First off, we’d like to thank all of you for following us, for your support, and for showing appreciation for the pictures we’ve shared here. We’ve loved seeing what you’ve shared too. The amazing photographers and curators of Tumblr really pushed us to up our game. You have all been really important to us (fuck you Tumblr staff) and our time here has been a lot of fun, a challenge, and an opportunity for us to grow. We’re really going to miss it.
We’ve been looking at options for our future and, as many of you have already realized, it’s just not going to be the same somewhere else. We all do our own thing in our own way, and our thing has been to challenge ourselves to take different and (we hope) high quality erotic nudes, sometimes with a bit of kink thrown in (L loves those in particular). Not having a “look” has been “our look”, and we’re not sure if or where we can find a home outside Tumblr to pursue that.
But we’re going to try. It’s going to take a bit of time, and we’re going to have to start all over again. You’re welcome to join us, but please be patient as we’ve realized that it’s going to take a while to get on our feet and get going again. We’ve created placeholder profiles on the obvious contender sites (see below), and you’re very welcome to connect with us there, but don’t expect much until the new year at least.
We’ve decided to take a bit of a break to do some soul-searching to figure out, or at least remind ourselves, of why we’re doing “this”, and what it is that we want to get out of it. It might turn out to be something different; it might turn out that we can get something more, or something new, from what we’ve had here; it might be that we decide to get different things from different places. We’re giving ourselves some time to figure it out.
That said, before we knew of the impending Tumblr Apocalypse, we were planning our biggest Theme Week yet. We have over 50 never-before-seen outdoor nudes that we were getting ready to share with you. We’ll use those to launch our new blog(s), where ever they are. It’s going to be some of our best stuff ever. When the time is right, we think that you’ll find it will be worth it to find us at our new home.
See you on the other side, Tumblr Friends.

We’re working on figuring out our next steps. We’ll post something about that this weekend.
We miss you all already!
Don’t Leave Yet!
We have lost 250 followers in a couple of hours. Many smart people are trying to find a way to move hundreds of thousands of people in a matter of days to another site. DON’T PANIC and delete your account out of anger. We aren’t going down without a fight. Just stay until we all figure out where we’re going.
All Tumblr did was bring us together. We don’t have to let it separate us now. We’ll find a new, welcoming home, but it will take the collective wisdom a few days to develop a unified plan.
Don’t delete your blog yet!
Ok friends
What now?
A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).
Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So what’s next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

thanks for posting!
Back to the present
Thanks for joining us as we cleared out some old drafts from 2017. Thanks also for your kind and encouraging comments!
We’ll get back to posting new stuff soon.
Clearing out the backlog, 2017 edition
We were looking over our drafts folder and realized that we still have a bunch of pictures from 2017 that we never got around to posting. Maybe they were too much like something else, or it just didn’t feel like the right time. Well, the right time has come and this week we’re going to clear them out to make room for newer stuff.
Introducing a new Tag
L has been getting into yoga and, since they make her wear clothes at the studio, she likes to practice without them at home (or any number of other places, actually). The result is a bunch of new pics with the tag #Naked Yoga. Keep an eye out for them!
