LEGS crossed as she sat on counter top , bowl of red velvet ice cream was in her lap , celebrating new years wasn’t her thing , never has and never will be . the only sounds that kept her sane her was water dripping down from leaky faucet and her own breathing , being alone wasn’t the greatest , especially when paranoia was always on the horizon . she doesn’t specialize in partying or being a teenager in general , she never rebelled or anything , she was the good child . the sound of loneliness started to eat her away , she needed music or something blaring so her sanity wasn’t holding on a lose thread . quickly she hurried off so she can connect her phone to a speaker and when she did , as expected , music shredded the quiet air into pieces , Beyonce was a life saver.
ONLY half an hour till the new year began and she still didn’t care , today was just a normal day to her , the same things would happen or maybe not , this was the year Marsh arrived and everything spun into a different direction , she ACTUALLY went to a party , perhaps this won’t be a normal year like usual . the sounds of fireworks exploding in the distance didn’t help her nerves or let her concentrate on anything , but she wouldn’t make a fuss over it to herself , not going to do her any good . Yuzuki thought about getting well deserved sleep for a bit , ‘ just sleep through it ’ she thought , attention adverted towards a sound , a sound that couldn’t be produce by strangers lighting fireworks , it was the sound of somebody entering . slightly she slid off the counter , didn’t want to make a sound , she carefully proceeded towards a knife holder and when she achieves one she walks towards the sound , relief caved in seeing it was just her favorite vampire , the king , the musician , Marshall Lee . before he could ask about the weapon in her clutch she swiftly walked back and returned it to the slot .
THEY talked for a good 20 minutes and majority of the time it would just be Lee talking about his experience at the party and her admiring the fact he would even bother to go to one . slightly envying him for not having the mindset that was nailed into her head , partying was bad , being a teenager was bad , doing anything remotely fun was HORRIBLE . then she just slightly dabbled on what her sad new years was like so far , curious about the time it was now she glanced towards her phone , surprisingly pleased about it , she started to conjure up a plan . did he even know about the tradition ? well this is his first time being in this world and he didn’t stay at that party for long to know about it , she might be able to catch him off guard . wanting to keep his attention on her until it was time , she started to ask him if he wanted to go to her home country with and go sight seeing , for the rest of the ten minutes she’ll just inform him about Japan .
GLANCING once more at her phone , it felt like it was forever for those ten minutes to pass by and when it did glee soothed into her and she looked at him with a bright smile before lips touched to speak to him ❝ have you heard of this tradition ?? ❞ and before he can even say a word hands grabbed his shirt and fist balled up , flannel fabric bunched up and she pulled him , lips finally met his and eyes fluttered close , who knew the shy one would make a move on ? she waited until it was 12:01 to finally let go and when she did she almost fell off and thats because her upper body was draped against the male , regaining her balance as palms rested on the counter and a smirk painted her visage .
