Mary entered the bathroom with every intention of having a bath and finally relaxing after worrying about pointless things that probably would never happened. The one thing she wanted to bypass finally settled in her mind. Her parents would never get to know her unborn child. She sat down by the wall as if the emotion was far too much to deal with. “Shit..” She muttered and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath and trying to push away anything she didn’t want to feel just like she always did.

“You need more than wine for dinner dear” Reginald said as he opened a cupboard to see what was in there. “Yeah I think we need to go shopping. Maybe we should get take out or something?” He shrugged as he looked at the chicken, not sure if he actually wanted to trust it or not.

“Well I do, now,” Mary mumbled and rolled her eyes. Damn she would miss wine. “Yes, take out is always the best option, pizza, Chinese or Indian?” She asked, heading for a drawer that contained a heap of menus. The chicken was discarded into the table immediately deemed unsafe for consumption. “What do you fancy?” She looked up.

It’s best for everyone” James felt bad that he couldn’t do what he thought was right. Snow rolled her eyes, of course that was what the ‘queen’ would think. Making a claim to your rightful throne was a crime in her eyes and it always had been. “So you’re not an independent guy? That’s a shame, I was starting to like you.” She sat down and place a bowl of what looked vaguely like porridge on the table. “Oh really? Who have I murdered? Did I make the world a better place?”

“I wish I could be an independent guy” James shrugged “You know what it’s like living under the boot of someone” James didn’t want to admit what was going on. He couldn’t risk putting his mother in danger. “Same as before, I don’t know the details”

If I were nice I would have let you go,” she frowned, “Now what are we going to do until they go away. James chuckled slightly, “Well I shouldn’t be complaining if I get to spend the whole time looking at you” James shrugged at her question, he wished he had the courage to go rouge. “I was on the way to King Midas’s kingdom when one of my Knights spotted you. I sent they back for reinforcements and I came after you”

Snow rolled her eyes at his comment then stared at him for a moment in disbelief, “What?” She stood up and looked out the window, “You sent for reinforcements?” She immediately closed the shutters , “You idiot! And I thought for a moment you could be trusted even a little. You can’t leave now, not when there are knights combing the forest. You’ll have to stay here. You’ve already as good as ratted me out.”
