You seem jumpy
I'm just... well. On edge, I suppose. People have been a bit hostile about things lately.
Jennifer dismissed her words with a shrug. “Do you have any plans for today? I still haven’t thank you for helping me before break.”
"You don't need to thank me for that..." Aria shook her head. "But no, as a matter of fact, I don't happen to have any plans."
Jennifer shrugged. “Knocking is polite. I don’t mind.” She pulled the flowers out from behind her back and held them out to her. “These are you for you. I’m sorry for not being around.”
"Jennifer..." Aria took the flowers, smiling up at her. "A ghrá, you didn't have to. It hasn't been that long. And I was away for most of it." She still felt slightly guilty for abandoning her and absconding to Greece with everyone.
Jennifer hesitantly knocked on Aria’s door, holding the flowers she’d conjured behind her back. She hadn’t spoken to Aria for all of break and had barely seen her since returning back, which she felt guilty about. So she’d planned out a date as a way to apologize.
Aria was curled up on her bed, reading. Everyone was... well, someplace, and it was safer to stay here because of the ward. She turned to the door at the knock, smiling when she read the wards and sensed that it was Jennifer. She crossed over, opening it and grinning. "I should really get coimirceoir to key you into the wards. Then you wouldn't have to knock."
Alright
Why... why did you think something was wrong?
"Your devoted lover."
Aria smiled, reaching out and taking his arm once again, tucking herself against him. "How convenient, as I am also yours." She wasn't sure that she was much of a goddess, but she loved that he saw her like that.
Teasingly, he snuggled his nose into her neck, but slowly began to suck at her pulse point. Slipping down he laced her breasts with kisses, and gently pulled up her shirt to layer her stomach.
Oh, it's nothing, it's just...
you dropped this. *holds out a piece of parchment*
Not what I meant. You’re acting weird. Why?
I'm not acting weird. Everything's fine, Reed.
"What’s wrong?" Aria seemed to have withdrawn into her self and it worried her. She pulled Aria closer towards her, hoping to reassure her.
"Nothing," Aria said softly. She didn't want to worry her more. But she needed to be more careful in the future, clearly.
What’s wrong with you?
That I don't have a copy of the Quibbler? Is that something that I'm supposed to have?
Jennifer wrapped her arm around Aria’s waist, using it to help guide her. “Are you hungry? We can get food too.”
Aria shook her head. "Not really, though if you are don't let that stop you." She wasn't hungry at all. She was still too shaken.
I asked if you had a copy of the Quibbler.
Oh! I... no, I don't.
"Come on, let’s go back to the room." Jennifer coaxed. "If you want, we can stop by the kitchens and get hot chocolate?"
Aria nodded. "Alright, thank you." She tucked herself into Jennifer's side after a moment, letting her lead her off towards the kitchens.
"You didn’t." Jennifer pressed her lips to Aria’s. "It’s okay."
Aria bit her lip, looking up at her. "Okay... I'm sorry," she whispered. "But I am glad that it worked."
I'm sorry, I... I don't understand.
"Then why do you sound like it? Did I do something wrong?" Jennifer worried.
Aria shook her head. "Of course not! I'm sorry, a ghrá, I just... I was so worried that I hurt you." That wasn't what she was supposed to do. She was never supposed to hurt anyone.
