Eos (ĂĆs meaning âdawnâ) was a Titaness and the goddess of the dawn, who rose each morning from her home at the edge of the Oceanus in Greek Mythology. She had a brother and a sister, Helios, god of the sun, and Selene, goddess of the moon and was almost always described with rosy fingers as she opened the gates of heaven for the Sun to rise. In Homer, her saffron-coloured robe was embroidered or woven with flowers rosy-fingered and with golden arms, crowned with a tiara or diadem and with the large white-feathered wings of a bird.
In Finnish mythology, PÀivÀtÀr is the goddess of the sun, who ruled over light and life. She owns the silver of the sun, weaving clothes from its silver yarn.

[flint] âYou healed that fast?â
Vampire Meme
âMm.â She agreed, practically purring. Aurora glanced over the previously injured arm, the very last of the wound stitching itself up until the only hint that remained was the blood left behind.Â
She smiled, a pearly white smile with gleaming, slender fangs. It was not a kind smile. âFascinating, isnât it? Care for another go?â
[lyall] âAre you saying that my blood is gross?â [ hurt, offended, betrayed ]
Vampire Meme
âI am saying,â Aurora dabbed at her lips, her features scrunched in displeasure, âThat it isnât right. Youâre certainly not human, though I didnât need to have a nibble to discover that.âÂ
She glanced over the woman, frowning deeply. âThatâs disappointing.â
[vampire!silver] âDid you really think holy water was going to work on me?â [ listen he's jewish holy water wouldnt do shit to him anyway ]
Vampire Meme
âI had considered the possibility, but Iâm disappointed to realize the truth.â Aurora admitted, frowning deeply at the bottle as she resealed it. Then, she lifted a shoulder. âYou canât blame a girl for trying, can you?â
âHoly water or no, I would suggest that you think twice before attempting to come closer. I am not without other means.â
âI actually sleep in a bed, not a coffin.â -H
Vampire Meme
âIs that the case with all vampires, or are you just particular in that way?â Aurora asked, unable to stem her curiosity. After all, it wasnât every day that one encountered a vampiric being in reality...or at least, it didnât used to be.
âTell me, what about transforming into other creatures?â She asked, crossing her legs as she settled back into her chair. âDracula was said to be able to take many forms. Is that your case as well?â
VAMPIRE THEMED SENTENCE STARTERS

âI canât turn into a bat, now stop asking.â
âWhat happened to all of the O positive bags in the fridge?â
âIâm actually a vegetarian vampire.â
âVampires have hard-ons longer.â
âIâm ____ years old.â
âDid you really think holy water was going to work on me?â
âDid you try to stake me in my sleep?â
âYou have no idea how many lives Iâve lived.â
âYour blood tastes so good.â
âI actually sleep in a bed, not a coffin.â
âI canât live another century without you.â
âYouâre the first human Iâve loved in hundreds of years.â
âIf thereâs anyone I want to stake me itâs you.â
âYou call that a stake?â
âI thought that if I turned you we could be together forever.â
âYou really donât know anything about vampires, do you?â Â Â Â Â
âIâm a vampire. Duh.â
âVampire hunters have been after me for years.âÂ
âIâll rip out your heart and drink it look a juice box.â Â Â
âIâm not going to turn you.â
âI want you to turn me.â
âAre you saying that my blood is gross?â
âHe screamed at me that he was a creature of the night and tried to drink my blood.â
âMy vampire boyfriend is going to kick your ass!â
âIâm going to drag your ass out into the sun!â
âBite me. I want you to do it.â
âI canât believe the person I fell in love with is a vampire.â
âYou could have killed me!â
âWhat special powers do you have?â
âPlease donât eat me.â
âDo you really think youâll live forever?â  Â
âIâve been hunting your kind for years.â
âYou healed that fast?â
âYou turned me against my will!â
âDid you think turning me would make me love you forever?â Â Â Â
âIâm so hungry right now.â
âIâm so hungry I could eat a horseâŠor you.â
âI like biting that special place right between the thighs.â
âI just want to bite you all over.â
âHow badly does biting someone hurt?â Â Â Â Â Â
âCanât we feed on each other?â
âJust because you turned me doesnât mean weâre together.â Â
regnantdawnâ:
As quickly as he dared was enough to make the young woman gaspâshe hadnât expected to be moved so quickly, and her grasp on him tightened slightly.
Once they were secure in the lift, she glanced about the gilded cage, confused by its workings. Of course she knew what a lift was, what it typically looked like, but this was perhaps a modern version? PerhapsâŠ
âA soldier? What sort of museum-library is this that it would have German soldiers?â She frowned. âHave things changed so much since Iâve beenâŠwell, asleep? Do libraries require soldiers now? Am I in Germany?â
ââŠyou donât know me. You donât know my name, so you wouldnât know how long Iâve been in thatâŠthatâŠencasement, either, hm? Is there anyone who might?â
âA very organized sort. Itâs complicated.â
âMay I ask.. how long youâve been asleep? Do you remember the year?â
Horst wasnât sure how many rules he had broken in waking the mysterious woman, but he knew it was a lot. He also felt quite strongly that he had done the right thing. Even if it had been technically wrong.
âGermany? What? Oh! My accent, you mean? No, no,   weâre in England. Quite an ear youâve got, picking that   up. Youâre the first person to notice in a long while.â
Horst adjusted his hold on Aurora as he felt the liftcar slow; his gaze directed to the cage doors as they slid into alignment. Although he offered her a small smile, inwardly he prayed that the hallway would be empty when the doors opened.
âDonât you worry your pretty head about anything, alright?     Iâll take care of you, I promise. Just.. if we see someone,     let me do the talking..â
âYou also called me Prinzessin.â She pointed out, offering a small smile. âIâm...not certain why I know that, but I know that itâs German. I also know that Iâm not, but I canât tell you why I know that, either. I donât think Iâm entirely English...that doesnât sound right to me.â The young woman gave a small, defeated sigh. It was still nice to know that she recognized something.
Her grasp tightened slightly as the doors began to open, glancing between Horst and the hall that opened up to them. He had tensed, as if expecting...well, expecting just about anything, really. That wasnât particularly reassuring, and the young woman clung to him in her anxiety.
âAlright.â She managed after a moment, and then, far more quietly, âAre you in some trouble? Have I gotten you into trouble somehow? Iâm terribly sorry...â
regnantdawnâ:
âI donâtâŠâ She glanced down to her feet, bare and already feeling a bit chilled. âNo, I suppose I donât mind.âÂ
Still, she hesitated, just a moment or two longer before reaching to wrap her arms around Horstâs broad shoulders as he lifted her up with startling ease. Alarm bells continued to ring in her mind, but it was becoming less and less due to Horstâs presence and more to the fact that she simply didnât remember anything at all. He seemed to truly want to help, but what about anyone else they might encounter?
âYou are very strong, Mr. Cabal.â She replied after a moment, clinging close to him. âWill you be entirely honest with me, if I ask if I can trust you..?â
âIâve got you, Prinzessin, itâs alright, youâre safe.â
Horst tucked the previously-slumbering beauty against his chest, his arms cradling her back and legs. He moved with human slowness as he carried her out into the hall-   âglancing quickly in both directionsâ     âbefore stepping as quickly as he dared towards the lift.
âCan you trust me? Corr, Iâd be offended if you werenât a distressed   damsel. Yes, you can trust me. See the uniform? Iâm sort of.. ah,   like a soldier. Itâs my job to keep ladies like you safe.â
As quickly as he dared was enough to make the young woman gasp--she hadnât expected to be moved so quickly, and her grasp on him tightened slightly.
Once they were secure in the lift, she glanced about the gilded cage, confused by its workings. Of course she knew what a lift was, what it typically looked like, but this was perhaps a modern version? Perhaps...
âA soldier? What sort of museum-library is this that it would have German soldiers?â She frowned. âHave things changed so much since Iâve been...well, asleep? Do libraries require soldiers now? Am I in Germany?â
â...you donât know me. You donât know my name, so you wouldnât know how long Iâve been in that...that...encasement, either, hm? Is there anyone who might?â
regnantdawnâ:
âThe infirmary?â She glanced about again, wrapping the jacket around herselfâit wasnât difficult, she was swimming in the fabric. âIs thisâŠa ship? A boarding school?â What sort of building had an infirmary on hand?
Carefully, she began to move herself to her feet. She was forced to take it slowly for fear of her knees buckling, her fingers curling into Horstâs sleeve as she stood. He certainly was a large man, wasnât he? And he didnât know her, either. Very curious.Â
âYou said youâŠyou kissed me awake? Who are you?â
âNot a ship, no. More like.. a big library combined with a museum.â
Horst provided a steadying hand as the lady rose from her coffin, keeping his voice soft. He didnât want to scare her any more than she already was.
âAh, yes. Yes I did.â Horst smiled bashfully, glancing down at her bare feet- his brow creasing with worry.
âHorst Cabal, at your service, Miss. Do you mind terribly if I pick you   up? Itâs only that weâve got a bit of a walk upstairs, and you donât   have any slippersâŠâ
âI donât...â She glanced down to her feet, bare and already feeling a bit chilled. âNo, I suppose I donât mind.âÂ
Still, she hesitated, just a moment or two longer before reaching to wrap her arms around Horstâs broad shoulders as he lifted her up with startling ease. Alarm bells continued to ring in her mind, but it was becoming less and less due to Horstâs presence and more to the fact that she simply didnât remember anything at all. âYou are very strong, Mr. Cabal.â She replied after a moment, clinging close to him. âWill you be entirely honest with me, if I ask if I can trust you..?â
regnantdawnâ:
She didnât actually expect to have any sort of answer, but it wasnât just the large man that now held her hand that startled her. Safe wasnât really a location, and this man wasnât known to herâ
Pulling her hand from his, she shifted to the side of the coffin away from him, her limbs shaking from disuse. Sleeping or cursed or something. Didnât he realize how ridiculous that sounded? And yetâŠand yet she was in a coffinâŠ
After a moment, she seemed to realize she was being spoken to, and finally met Horstâs eyes. And her mind went blank.Â
ââŠIâŠcanât remember...â She whispered.
âYou canât remember your name? Oh, thatâs.. awful.â
Although Horst could understand how disorienting it might feel to wake up after being inert for a long period of time, he couldnât imagine losing his memories. He frowned.
âI wonât hurt you, no need to be frightened. Here, you must be cold.â
Horst took off his jacket and draped it around her shoulders.
âDo you think you can stand? Might be best    to take you upstairs, to the infirmaryâŠâ
âThe infirmary?â She glanced about again, wrapping the jacket around herself--it wasnât difficult, she was swimming in the fabric. âIs this...a ship? A boarding school?â What sort of building had an infirmary on hand?
Carefully, she began to move herself to her feet. She was forced to take it slowly for fear of her knees buckling, her fingers curling into Horstâs sleeve as she stood. He certainly was a large man, wasnât he? And he didnât know her, either. Very curious.Â

She had only just closed her eyes, or thatâs how it had felt. The lights were blinding to eyes that hadnât seen light in decades, and her hand shook as it lifted to shield them as they adjusted. This wasnât rightâŠthis wasnât home.
Well, at least she didnât think it was. She didnât remember, actually.
For a moment or two longer, the Sleeping Beauty lay still, attempting to take in her surroundings and settle a frightened and racing heart. Finally, she clutched the silken gown she wore to her to preserve her modesty and slowly sat up, hardly noticing anything else or anyone else that might be around her.
âWhere am I..?â She asked quietly, more to herself than to anyone listening.
âHullo! Oh, it worked! This is just.. aces!   I kissed you⊠and you woke up! Like a   princess in a fairy tale! Hullo, hi there!âÂ
Kneeling beside the open glass coffin, Horst greeted the woman in soft, excited tones. He reached out to touch her hand; supporting her shoulder as she rose.
She was even prettier now that she was awake!
âAh, well, thatâs complicated. But I can promise you that   youâre safe. I think youâve been sleeping, or cursed or   something, but if I know anything about curses its to ask   my brother about it. Iâm Horst, by the way. Whatâs your   name? Oh, I bet itâs something lovelyâŠâ
She didnât actually expect to have any sort of answer, but it wasnât just the large man that now held her hand that startled her. Safe wasnât really a location, and this man wasnât known to her--
Pulling her hand from his, she shifted to the side of the coffin away from him, her limbs shaking from disuse. Sleeping or cursed or something. Didnât he realize how ridiculous that sounded? And yet...and yet she was in a coffin...
After a moment, she seemed to realize she was being spoken to, and finally met Horstâs eyes. And her mind went blank.Â
â...I...canât remember...â She whispered.
