Concept ideas and doodles for Vision of Paradise (some are very recent, some from a month ago, others can be seen on my blog)

"Vision of Paradise" is a psychological medieval dark fantasy that tells a story about an unhinged king who wakes up from a deep sleep and finds out what happened to him and to his surroundings. As he struggles to control his emotions and longing for hope, he later gets annoyed by a mysterious, glowing spirit by the name of Paradise. This project is a no-dialogue short film, and it will be shown through gestures, action, and emotions. Throughout the story, it's divided into two stories, one from the present and one from the past, which explore a complex romantic relationship between the characters as well as themes of love, loss, and grief.

Concept ideas for my character, The King during his past as a barbarian. He used to be the ruler, protector, and even mistakenly being called the bear due to his roar and physique look along with his strength. He was very aggressive, but he once learned kindness from the fairy which later both of them fall in love
