MayaKuro personalities and their relationship and how Maya is the one desperate toward Claudine more.
I just created tumblr so i just want to express my love for my ultimate OTP here.
First of all, their relationship created through a share rival and understanding. It can clearly see through the anime (especially episode 10) that the rival push each other higher and higher because they have a goal (a person) to look at. And in the anime, it show that Claudine is the one who chase and Maya is the one who want to improve to not getting caught up.
But what if I tell you the person who scare to lose the other more is Maya?
Because if Maya is not the best, Claudine might not look at her anymore, in episode 10, i think if Claudine didnt cry at that moment, Maya might be the one upset more. This is because Maya is a greedy and selfish person.
This is proved in the stageplay starry diamond (Uragiri no Crete), Maya provide a brilliant answer to the audience (the betrayal in the tilte), she deliver the "betrayal" to answer the stage demand. But also for her, if beside her is not Claudine then she rather be alone (this is from their revue in anime episode 10 when Maya willing to invite Claudine). She also admit she is a jealous person and cannto fanthom the idea of anyone stand beside her (and guess who stand beside her on ep 10?
Back to episode 10, if we look at the ranking, Claudine actually at rank 3, if Maya want to get the top position she can choose Hikari whose rank 2 at that time to increase the chance. But she willing to choose Claudine because she only see Claudine to be the person can stand side by side her.
And then we have the movie, the revue of soul, where they graduate and Claudine want to go back to France. This is when Maya clearly upset because Claudine go further away from her, it create a lot of "what if". Thus, the first part of their revue is Maya trying to paint herself as "emotionless", no soul and defeat the "devil" (Claudine) who haunting her. She tried to prove she did not need Claudine on her life (lie) with the line "For heros, there are trials. For saints, there are temptations. For me, there is a devil". And when she "win" the devil, thats mean she not attach to Claudine anymore. Its also a statement she try to convey with Claudine that she not care about the fact Maya might not able to meet Claudine on the stage again.
But in front of her is Saijou Claudine, when she thought she winning and make Claudine out of her mind (which is defeat devil). Claudine make me gay panic a comeback
This is the start of Maya downfall, the contract with the devil still active. With the fact Claudine look through her facade, Maya is not a perfect vessel with no emotions. *insert Claudine fondly insult to Maya*
When the devil starting to became the real temptation to the saint? Its when Maya start lose composure and the foreshadow of bare her feeling to Claudine, on their stage.
Fun fact, their introduction different but its a trading!!!!!

Claudine's introduction in Revue of Souls:
The shine of the moon, the love of the stars, and whatnot,

The next part is just their flirting--, jk but also you look at this line and expect me to be normal about it????
One interesting fact that Maya tell her feeeling drenched in black, Claudine nickname is "Kuro" which is black in Japanese (ikykwk)
Also this is just Claudine make Maya look at reality, look at her and make maya admit she can never escape Claudine, cant never deny her feeling for a certain blonde.
