۞ ― “Interest me? No… nothing like that,” Judar waved his hand in dismissal, casually brushing aside any thoughts on his purpose here to leave it an enigma. He did actually have a reason to be within Reim’s borders, but he thought it’d be at least entertaining to play with the newest magi. He was pleased that the old hag was finally gone, but within moments another just as annoying had fulfilled her place.
“I mainly enjoyed Yunan getting the flames of war thrown at him. That’s been a long time coming… good job–though you have a long way to go,” Judar spoke low, so not to have his voice picked up upon by those that knew his reputation better, “You’re the hag’s replacement right? I have some questions for you I want answered.”
This magi was the only one Judar had seen within his life span to be reincarnated. Though he new it was possible given the others, he’d never had an in-depth knowledge of it. Like hell Al Thamen would tell him. So, he decided to pull the information out of someone else now that the opportunity had presented himself. He’d do it literally… if he had to. Spells of the mind weren’t a strength for him, but he was not incapable of such magic–especially now with his newly acquired power.
Many thought his wistful dreams and wonderment made him naive. The glimmered on white wings all around him, preserved by the great flow. Each soul of the departed had come to comfort him with stories of their first loves. Though he heard them his attention was still focused elsewhere.
‘ I have no intention of declaring a war against Yunan. You’re mistaken if you thought it was a matter for Reim. Its my personal... I have regrets. If he’d meant to do it, I’m not even certain I would be offended. I wanted to be... acknowledged. ’
There was nothing special at all about the kiss he’d received. It was so meaningless he imagined Yunan could have done it to anyone. Dare he dwell and over complicate the matter his insecurities did feast. The fear that what had been done to him was only because he resembled his maker was the worst burden of all.
Whether unwitting or not it was this vein that Judar picked at during his approach. He bristled in Her defense as well as his own, caught up in present internal conflict. The ornate staff he carried was gripped tighter. At the last he rose his voice despite the diminishing distance between them, intent on standing his ground.
‘ I’m not Scheherazade! I’ll make my own choices and follow my own path. If you’ve come for answers from Her, you have wasted your time. ’
