When was the last time you stop and admire the flowers you passed by?
When was the last time you appreciate the trees for providing you a shed under the scorching heat of the sun?
When did you take a little time to feel the wind giving you a gentle kiss on your face? Have you ever heard that sweet chirping of birds in the morning and wondered what other sounds they could make? Have you ever stop and basked in the early morning sunshine and give yourself a little time to contemplate what a wonderful world we are living in? Have you ever look around you and utter a thankfulness to God for all the blessings and beautiful things that you have received? And can you ever remember the last time you smile wholeheartedly for simple reasons or for no reason at all?
Despite problems and hardships, our world is such a wonderful place to live in. We just need a little time to look around and appreciate it. Just because everyday is a struggle means you will wallow in hopelessness. There is no problem that has no solution. How about you take a little break. Expose yourself to nature. Stand facing the ocean and relax in the gentle salty breeze blowing your way. Stand in a middle of a field and let the sun embrace you with its comforting warmth. Stand in front of your house and contemplate how lucky you are to have a shelter to protect you from the fickle moods of the weather, a place where you are together with your family who are with you always, no matter how tough things are. The family who laughs along with you during great times, cries with you when things turn bad and stay beside you all throughout your journey. Stand in front of the mirror and look back at all those happy and joyous moments of your life. But dont overlook all those bad times, coz seeing yourself on the mirror means you have survive all those obstacles. After doing all that and you still dont feel better, find a solemn place. Isolate yourself from the noise and obstructions. Kneel on your knees, close your eyes, take a deep and talk to God. Tell him all your struggles, all your burdens. He may not reply the way we are used to when talking to someone, but He’s there to listen. And He will make a way to make things better for you. Sometimes, we dont need someone who can rant on us on what to do and how to do it or someone to judge us. Someone who will listen and to cry on is enough. And that is how God is to us. He may not reply back outright, but He will send His answer in a way we never expected.
Sometimes, in our struggle to survive and not be left behind, we neglect the simple things we have. Simple things that will have a great impact in our decision and in the way we see things.
