hello i fucked up my to-do list

Genuinely so fucking embarrassed but I somehow wrote down two months of June instead of realizing July exists after June. Don't ask me how, I do not even know.

Anyway I have MOSTLY fixed this fuck up but if you're awaiting art from me, please have a look-see at my to do list here:

also, while i am on the fuckin topic, the reasoning that finally got me to vanquish my imposter syndrome even though objectively i am not the most skilled artist to put it very mildly LMAO

think of all the art by other people that you have ever loved! and think over how often you loved it, not due to the technical execution on display or the foundational expertise, but because it had some element, some verve, some spirit that you liked - some touch of the person who made it that made it resonate with you despite the fact that like all art it had flaws

did you like it any less? NO!!! did the artist still do a rad thing by sharing it with the world? YES!!! does that same grace apply to you, the person reading this who often looks at your art and despairs the same way just about every artist in the world does? YESSSS!!!!!! It is not your perfection that appeals! it is your eye! your You! Like all those other imperfect artists you have ever loved!

this isn't about politics it's about online communities and arpg games lol

I'm putting this on my art blog since it's directly related to ARPGs i am in and my art blog is where those people live!

i know confrontation is scary and hard and i don't blame anyone who doesn't want to, and i know in some cases it's genuinely impossible, but like

twice in the last six months in two different games i've been in a situation where i was providing feedback to moderators in some way, got a deluge of DMs/PMs privately agreeing with me, and yet very very few people were willing to speak up and agree with me publicly or back me up. i know sometimes you simply can't. i know sometimes you've moved on and don't wanna get your foot in the shit again. it's ok. but if you can, please do. it's so frustrating and exhausting to KNOW how supported your ideas are and yet have no public support. it makes you look insane and like a troublemaker and the net result has been that i've more or less decided i'll never do it again. i've done it too many times now and having done it twice in six months has just wiped me out. i can't do it anymore.

also, please understand that when you do this, because i take confidentiality seriously, sometimes i'm left holding pieces of a puzzle that only I can put together, and therefore answers that *everyone* ought to have aren't being had. everyone says "don't tell anyone i said this," so I don't, so i'm sitting here holding proof of things that really ought to be public so that other people can also know how these pieces fit together, and i can't do anything with it, and i have to spend all my time talking around it.

please. especially if you've left the community because of the issues being raised. please say something. i'm very tired lol. i don't blame any individual person for this, this isn't targeted at anyone specifically, but it is very broadly aimed at anyone who's thought about it and not done it.
