Hi everyone, Asarimaniac here, with something we hoped we would never have to do. Sorry this is not some more art that you have come to know us for and follow us for, but if we could have just 2 minutes of your time, it seriously could save our life.

We were stuck in a country where we were attacked for our sexual orinetation, we then moved and got stuck in a different country with the same and more problems. Wanting to make a lewd SFM blog here, need advice from experts
Been following lots of NSFW SFM blogs here since 2015 ever since I discovered SFM porn (best thing I found since Skyrim/Fallout 4 sex mods) & I want in on the action too. I’m studying for a game design major (I’m more into learning scripting, programming, etc.) but I’m interested in the stuff you guys here do with SFM/Blender too.
My major’s program is kind of a mess tho (according to the seniors here they teach artists tech stuff & tech ppl artist stuff, do a bad job of doing that anyways & most ppl learn stuff on their own or from outside events) so if any big SFM bloggers here see this post, I was hoping to get some advice on where to start & how to learn this stuff since I can apply it to a career in the future or just for fun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
1. SFM, Blender, or Maya & why (what’s better for stuff like level of experience, simplicity, useful tools, best supported, etc.)?
2. What’s the best way to learn either of these programs? I’ve tried learning Unity for class through the site’s own tutorials & they were only good for those specific tasks they cover, not much for what my class wanted me to do. Are these programs tutorials like that or are they made better?
3. Where can I get resources for using these programs like character models, environments, etc (preferably the ones that are popular with ppl here)?
4. Since I’d be using models & stuff other people made, what’s the etiquette everyone here follows for using them usually?
5. Couldn’t think of a 5th question so maybe fill with any extra advice you got if you feel like it?
I’d appreciate anything helpful & polite that experienced people can share with me ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

I’ve only been doing this for 2 years. I don’t have much experience in Maya, apart from my mate who wanted me to make a bucket for a game he was making. I can try to answer, but take it with a grain of salt, I’m no veteran.
1.
SFM is the beginners program to basic posing and animation. It doesn’t need much resources either so it’s good all round. Bad news is, it lacks the ability to use resources efficiently. (it can crash a lot so save as much as possible!)
Blender huge is a step up from there with more immersive tools and ability to pretty much achieve anything as long as you put your heart and soul into it.You need a pretty beefy PC to achieve a lot with it though. It’s mostly about realism, so use it depending on if you’re looking for that or not.
Maya is industry standard for stuff like game assets. I’m not sure how far it goes, I haven’t research that much into it. Game devs and animation productions love Maya though.
2. Honestly, I’ve only ever watched tutorials when I’ve hit a road block in what I want to create. I wanted to make rope in Blender a while ago but I didn’t know how to do it. Looked it up and learned how to make rope. Ez. Just learn as you make.
3. SFM models at sfmlab.com and Blender models at smutba.se. No idea for Maya though.
4. In most cases, people just put something like “D.Va model by Metssfm” in the text section of a post. On my main blog I have a link that says “models I use” on the footer of every release post which leads a full list of models I have used. It has their creators next to them that also links to the creators model page.
5. You can always be taught how to use your tools, but you can’t be taught how to make art/smut. You need to figure that out yourself. Just do whatever feels right.

For all the Mei players out here; Pressing E changes the wall orientation. Once the wall has been casted, and if this wall is going to kill half of your team, you can press E again to destroy it prematurely. DO IT. JUST. DO IT.
