Before and afters of my trim. It looks so much better and I feel so much better. You all know how much I obsess about how healthy my hair looks lol. The back was over directed to the back to prevent having to cut a lot of the front off, so realistically with it pulled to the front, it is still not even with the back ( but its very close and looks much better) but when pulled to the back it is Important note: I learned to let someone else you trust to do it and don’t rely on yourself especially if you really can see the back. I just was running my hands down the length and blunt cutting and not seeing that huge space in my hair I was skipping over.

Black hair or afro hair doesn’t grow any slower than any other texture of hair. Yes we do have to do a lot more to retain length like keep it moisturized, but our hair still grows at the same rate as “Becky”. The average growth is ½ inch a month or 6 inches per year. Now some might grow a little slower or faster but the average is ½ inch in a month. It’s the fact that some black women get sew ins and weaves installed too tight and cause damage, relax too often and they won’t keep their hair moisturized. These are all culprits that keep black women from growing longer healthier hair.
