"Isaaaaaaaaabeeeeeeeelllllll..."
The inventor paused in her work as she heard a voice that she hadnāt heard in some time. Shaking her head, Isabel apologized to the homeless girl sheād been giving stuff to and just handed her the bag.Ā āJust take what you think will fix for yourself and see if anyone else can wear some of the things in there.ā Ā
The girl smiled and nodded before picking up the bag and making her way down the street. Isabel sighed and then started looking around, she was a bit surprised heād been able to find her. She hadnāt exactly told anyone where she was going when disappearing from Piltover.Ā
āYou help make them too.ā She countered sitting down and placing the plate in an empty spot.Ā āI only did the patties and even then you helped me.ā The inventor happily started making her burger when he brought the rest of the fixings to the table.
āWell at first I didnāt know what to do, I thought I was going to be homeless. That is until I remembered I had an apartment here.ā She paused realizing that no one really knew about some of the things she did but unless he asked she was really going to talk about.Ā āSo I moved in but it soon became apparent that I wouldnāt be able to afford it as it was in upper Zuan. I used to be able to pay for it with the money I got from my inventions but I canāt really build with only one hand. Thatās how I ended up here. I sold my fancy apartment to get money and moved here.ā
She paused in her story to munch on her burger a bit before continuing.Ā āThatās where the kids come in. A few of them tried to steal from me and they son found out I had nothing. It took a while for them to trust me, I did a lot of things to try and talk to them. As for teaching them, it really depends on their age and how much they know. Younger kids, basic education, older kids, more advanced stuff. There are a few of them who really showed potential and so I began teaching them how to build. Not all the blueprints littering my home are mine. Some of these brilliant ideas are the kids.ā
āI guessss. I donāt feel like I did enoughā Relius simply retorted. āYouāre too good to me.ā
Of course, he listened intently and without interruption as he was very much intrigued by her story. The boxer did wonder what on earth she was doing in Zaun with an apartment but that question was going to have to wait for a time where the topic was more based around what she was doing here previously.
When she had mentioned that the blueprints laying about her home were also some of the kids, the boxer was genuinely surprised.
āNo kidding? Thatās crazy! I swear, some of this stuff is pretty decent although a lot of it does fly over my head. Still, just by comparing the blueprints you have to some of the others, itās really hard to tell the difference... At least, for me.ā
Munching down on his food, he thought it over a few times and honestly felt himself a little jealous that she was able to help out in such a direct way. Himself? He was a poor teacher and boxing was generally his main specialty, hardly something that can change a life.
āAhh, I wish I could help in some fashion or another. As it is, I donāt think the kids would trust me at all. I mean, I may be part of the eyepatch crew, but all I do is box. Hardly the kind of sport that one would consider ākindā.ā
