— ❝ THIEVERY … IS STILL WRONG , AND STILL A CRIME in this aspect , ❞ he refrains , crossing his arms as he looks to the side. But Remi does have a point ; she’s smart , and she does give a valid reason as to why whoever G is might want everything to remain a secret. It gets Simon to think , and it gets Simon to wonder what the hell all of this might be for. This research … what does it entail ?? What’s it supposed to investigate ?? He wants to KNOW.
❝ The thing is , this whole research - it might not even be harmful. But the problem here lies in the EXECUTION of it , it’s causing a fear among everyone else in the town when it’d be so much better to be upfront about it. ❞ Because he’s met many people who are left afraid of the news of this G person , afraid that the vagueness of the journals could lead to something else. There’s nothing wrong with sharing important information anonymously - but nothing here seems to feel … GOOD. Nothing seems to add up. And it’s what aggravates Simon , in that case , because it seems as this is rather a call for attention rather than a desperate plea to share information. It seems … ❝ This whole thing feels staged - like it’s more the dramatics than sharing information that could help the people. Because it feels like it could protect the people , ❞ like tell the ones who ended up here from different worlds what exactly they’re fucking dealing with , ❝ but it’s causing more public disarray because they decided to be vague & take their sweet old time with it rather than put it out there directly. And THAT’S what makes me pissed about this. I’d research this whole damn thing if I could - I’d release it anonymously , if I had to , if it would help. But not like this , not committing crimes and causing unnecessary panic. ❞
REMI STARES AT the table in front of her, frowning at the grooves in the woodwork, and she doesn’t answer for a few moments. ❝ doing bad things doesn’t always make a bad person. ” of course, sometimes that is the case, and she isn’t saying they should let their guard down when it comes to g. them being dangerous is still just as much a likely scenario than them not being one at this point. either way, they shouldn’t be underestimated.
despite the attitude he sometimes presents to others, remi both acknowledges and appreciates simon’s morality and sense of justice. it helps her trust him more. ❝ perhaps... it wasn’t supposed to scare us, but... someone else ?? ❞ she thinks of waking up in castle town, of remembering everything she tackled and achieved back in unova, but having no way to return there. the only person she knows is from her world is dawn. they have to have ended up here somehow, in some way, for some reason and by someone. perhaps g is trying to uncover the truth without someone — the person who brought them, or the reason they are here — discovering their identity. but that would make the release of the information too risky, even if their intention was to scare someone in particular. she rubs her forehead to ease the oncoming headache. ❝ but... wouldn’t asking for the items instead also cause a panic ?? because they would have to explain why they need the items, and with that many items being taken, word would spread. if the items are stolen, then their identity isn’t revealed, but people still get scared because they don’t know anything. i wonder if g even knows what they’re doing at this point. ❞ she’s glad she isn’t a scientist. she wouldn’t be able to keep up. ❝ but if it’s for the dramatics, then why would that be ?? is it for one person in particular or is it just for the hell of it ?? ❞ her frown deepens. ❝ or is it a power play ?? ❞ she thinks of ghetsis, who wanted the entire region of unova ( and, very likely, all of the other regions ) in the palm of his hand and used deception in his attempt to gain it. is g the same way ??
