"Darlin', bit busy at the moment," he murmurs, leaning back in his seat and head turning to settle eyes on the letter he's still holding. He's not reading it, he's intentionally ignoring her. His change in posture also means Danika is left sitting up on his lap, unable to nuzzle him.
