Downpour on a sunny night in Jyväskylä, Finland, making for a cool little rainbow welcoming us to school! I took this photo at around 9:30 PM last night... it’s safe to say that we have a hard time getting to sleep around here!

Helsinki Harbor
Helsinki, Finland
After 2 flights cancelled, many many hours of flying, and close calls, I finally made it to Helsinki, Finland. It was a trip, but now the trip can begin!
I will be embarking my European trek next Thursday, so in honor of this momentous occasion, I will be sharing memories from my trip last year. Here is a picture capturing the more screen side of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It was amazing to spend time and immerse myself in my own cultural background and spend the day cruising the canals with my cousin and several friends.Cheers to family, friends, memories, and safe travels!
Never have I felt more alive than when I dove with these beautiful creatures in the Yucatan. I knocked a top item off my bucket list doing this. 8 feet of evolutionary perfection, power, speed, and intelligence. These aren't dangerous animals, even though people claim the bullshark to be the most dangerous of all the sharks. People don't understand the impact these humble beasts have on the environment. My love for the ocean, sharks, and all other things that dwell within it knows no bounds, and never have I appreciated the scale and power of it more than when I was down there in their element. This was truly an inspiring and life changing experience that I would do again in a heartbeat!
Sunset shining through the glassy break of a wave in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Some of the clearest and warmest waters in the world, making for plenty of beauty above and below the surface. Shot with my GOPRO Hero 3+
Another candid shot from my recent trip to Yosemite, pictured here is Lower Yosemite Falls. The amount of water that thunders over the rock and falls into the pool below leaves one awe struck to say the least. The closer you get, the more you feel the brunt of its power and experience its savage elegance. This shot perfectly captures both of these elements and shows the beautiful granite sculpture these falls created.Â
We’ll start with my most recent trip to Yosemite here in California. I’ve been to Yosemite more times than I can count on my fingers and toes, and this place never ceases to amaze me. Of the twenty years I have been traveling to Yosemite, never once has it snowed, yet here, on April 25th, I woke up in my ENO hammock to about 3 inches of snow on the ground. It was like something out of a movie, I’ve never seen a sight more beautiful. Though I was not prepared for these frigid temperatures, I still managed to have an amazing time trudging through the snow in my soaked runners with my father, lugging around my heavy camera pack so I can capture beautifully surreal moments such as this.
