Remus, Mary
Remus was gone. His lungs gave up. His body was frail and weak. Bundled in layers of clothing, a thin envelope peeked out from his pocket, along with a mixtape and a video of Mary’s friends telling her they loved her.
He loved her too.Â
He always loved her.
He left her.
She could not believe it. Remus was gone. The love of her life, her best friend, her other half was gone. She could feel part of her dying as she held onto his body, unable to stop sobbing.
She shut her eyes, as she rocked his body back and forth, refusing to believe that he was gone. Her Remus was not gone, she told herself. He would come back, and tell her he loves her and they would watch Spiderman together. They were going to move together with her siblings and start a new life together. She wanted to be his wife.
But every time she opened her eyes, her heart broke even more as he laid in her arms, not responding. She continued crying and holding him for who knew how long, his body slowly turning cold. She couldn’t leave him. Even if he left her.
