When I was 14, Short Stack were one of my favourite bands. Getting to photograph them 7 years later brought back so many memories of going to their shows and being that girl on the barrier. I’m so glad to see that they’re back, and they’re better than ever.

Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack

A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to shoot Motion City Soundtrack on their Australian tour. At first I was a bit iffy about doing it because I could feel a cold coming on, but I did it anyway and ended up taking some of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken. These are it. 

Even though I did in fact come down with a horrible cold the next day, it was so worth it.

I've been wanting to see State Champs for a few months now, so when their co-headline tour with Neck Deep was announced literally a month after I started listening to them, I was probably too excited, so you can imagine how excited I was when I got confirmed to shoot the Sydney show of the tour. If you ever have the chance to see them play, you'd be crazy not to. I haven't seen a band this good both live and recorded in the longest time and I wish I could've seen them play every night of the tour. I hope they're back on Australian shores sooner rather than later!!

UPDATE TIME!

So it's been a while since I posted on Tumblr so I thought I should give you all a bit of an update!

I finally have a website!! I was using this blog as my website for a long time, but I finally have an actual website! I've posted a fair few photos on there, some old, some new so check it out and let me know what you think! www.renaeeganphoto.com

After a loooong dry spell in the shooting department, I finally have new stuff to show you guys! I shot Story Of The Year a week or two ago in Sydney and it felt so good being back in the photo pit. You may or may not be wondering what the hell I've been doing with myself over the past few months, and even if you haven't been, I'm gonna tell you anyway! Back in February, I hit the books again and started studying a Cert 3 in Music Business, which I've just recently finished and will be going back in a few weeks time to do the Cert 4! You might be thinking, 'why is she doing that? Isn't she doing photography anymore?' Of course I'm still doing photography, but seeing as I'm a music photographer, what better way to get into the industry than by learning all the ins and outs of the industry and how to work in it!

Well that's about it for now friends! I've been pencilled in for a show at the end of the month so I'll keep you guys posted on that one. Thanks for sticking by me all this time!
