I’ve always wondered why we didn’t see more of Sarah in this story. She wanted to be a mother because her life expectancy is short. That was the catalyst. Same with Mack. He suffered a traumatic experience and that could’ve brought him and Charity closer together. Both of these situations should’ve amplified Charity’s guilt about the lies and betrayal. The fact that it has to come to this for the truth to come out. We don’t even know if it will come from Charity. The point is, it’s not guilt that will propel her to come clean. It’s being attacked.
Yes exactly, because when people find out she was assaulted they will wanna know why Todd would do it and after a few more lies (bc of guilt & shame etc) it will become unbearable and eventually the dam will break and the secret will come out, not because it was the right thing to do, but because circumstances outside Charity's control will force her or someone else to.
I honestly understand why Charity doesnt want Sarah to know the truth because she got her the baby she wanted in the end and she has no desire to be a mother again, but it wasnt under Sarah's terms and there's the cheating on Mack to consider, Ross's paternity (and the fact he didnt want her to have the baby at all to begin with), Vanessa who was also lied and manipulated to keep the truth from coming out, i mean, there is a lot of material already to give the show proper conflict and tension between the characters without bringing evil Todd into it? It's hard not to feel like this is all filler so they can build up to a big summer stunt, just like they did with the prison husband sl prior to Corriedale.
