Emmerdale Wednesday 15 July Part 1

Following the revelation from Kev that Serena is a police officer, Kev tells Robert he just wanted him to know "she's a grass". Robert is still reeling from the news as Aaron returns home from the shop.

Aaron as soon as he clocks Kev demands to know... what he's doing here?

Kev decides to play games he grabs Robert & paws at his face pretending something was going on between them saying... You said he (Aaron) wouldn't be home for ages. Giving Aaron a little show.

Robert pushes him off, telling him... It's not funny. Aaron wasn't fooled as was merely annoyed by Kev's presence in their home.

Kev explains to Aaron, "I've just come around about that Semolina bird"

Robert corrects him... "Serena"

A downbeat Robert explains to Aaron... "Kev reckons he's seen her before."

Kev chimes in "I have. She's plod."

Aaron exclaims "What!?"

Kev repeats & says "Plod. You know, slang for police officer."

Aaron replies "Yeah, I got that bit!"

Robert decides to get Kev to leave by thanking him "Well, we appreciate you telling us Kev. Don't we Aaron?!"

Aaron is glaring in bafflement at the bombshell as Kev takes the hint.

Kev says "Sweet, I'll get off, then, shall I?" There's no gratitude coming his way from Aaron despite Robert's efforts.

Robert says to Kev on the way out "And I'm sorry about Lewis and that Nicola won."

Kev turns to Aaron and says "Yeah, I bet you're not." Pointing at him. Aaron ignores him, he's got bigger things on his mind now.

Kev finally leaves as Robert steels himself for Aaron's response.

Robert is still reeling himself as Aaron says to him "I told you there was summat off about her, but you just wouldn't listen to me. Would ya, so now what?"

Robert says, "Well, if Kev's right, we nip it in the bud for Vic's sake."

The writing of this episode was all over the place. I like the Mack stuff. It feels accurate for the most part. Charity is all over the place like the writing. I'm sorry but I am still genuinely struggling to feel sympathy for her over Mack, Sarah and Jacob. It was just all handled so unbelievably badly I'm not connecting with her at all.

The John of it all was not the way to go with Serena. I actually like that Robert wants to believe her but her story was blatant bullshit. So there's clearly more there. She's definitely hiding something. All the nonsense about that not being the John she knew is stupid. I like the actress very much and I want to like the character and for the most part I do, but my doubts are growing and I don't like that. Aaron not being given any room in the writing to actually talk about John is also maddening. Serena is being allowed to show more emotion over it all and that's unacceptable. Normally it would feel like all of this is leading to very much understandable crashouts for both Robert and Aaron but this version of the show makes that highly unlikely, so I have no idea what to actually make of any of this. It's so frustrating because it doesn't need to be. The bones are there.

I don't care at all about Kev and Lewis. I literally don't care at all. Don't care if they ever speak again. Don't care if either one is ever seen again. I don't care at all.

Atp i genuinely want ED to go ahead and give kevbert a try for all those people saying dryan don't have chemistry and kevbert are "electric" we'll see if those people are still here 12 years later cheering for them. Even if ED weren't shit right now there is nothing fun with kevbert or kev specially seeing how robert's being reduced to nothing in every scene with kev and how fucking dominating he is.

Serena doesn’t like Aaron and I think it’s deeper than just returning his energy. Even back to that first episode they shared when she tried to force a heart to heart, her comment about Aaron being the only one taken in had a vindictive edge. It’s such a mean thing to say to someone who survived awful domestic abuse m and as I’ve said before they have shown us her with Charity we know she knows the right things to say to victims. That comment to Aaron was a choice.

Just because you are happy with the slop the show is serving up, you can't demand everyone is especially on emmerdale's social media. I'm as annoyed as you to have to see it and defend against it but the show is doing Robron dirty so people have a right to express their frustrations. They aint winning any partnership awards that is 100% fact, neither are coira because they're in an awful state too, then you've got swarla who get to be happily married and the drama isn't causing conflict between them it's them supporting Wetsy Betsy. Brookes cares about her fave couples, Shaw hates hers.

I know they won’t be winning best partnership, never said otherwise. Just like Chris will win best newcomer and best comedy and the Dingles will make the shortlist for best family over the Sugdens because they’re the preferred family since the beginning of their existance (It’s predictable)

As for ‘demanding’ that everyone should be happy about it I was calling out all the idiot Kevbert stans acting like they’d be better then Robron which is hilarious because Emmerdale are incapable of developing any new relationship. At least their old couples still have stability and endurance.
