Still alive over here! 🫠 Sorry I haven't posted anything since October; work got crazy over the winter and then we had to say goodbye to our sweet senior pug Roxy in March, just days before what would've been her 15th birthday. 😞 It's been rouuuuughhhhh in this silent house (she was our last living pet) and I have not been feeling creative whatsoever. Just trying to put one foot in front of the other most days!

I eventually felt like drawing Roxy, but was too sad every time I tried. Instead I dusted off this neglected old piece from 2015 (filename "Pug Party") that was still sitting in my to-do folder, semi-colored, here in 2026. 😬 It reminded me of how fun and silly pugs are and how much joy my wrinkly little dogs brought me all throughout their lives, and finishing it was good for my healing. Now the Party is complete, 11 long years later! I hope it brings you a bit of joy too! 🥰🐕💕

Had this image in my head and thought I'd try a more painterly approach to venture out of my "gotta have crisp lineart!" comfort zone. It was a fun experiment in just getting the idea out and not striving for precision. 🖤
