their first project is a fantasy story, so if the series ai acquisition and, most recently, the blades iii ai cover reveal upsets and disappoints you (which it should! fuck ai fr), i'd recommend taking a following to them as i have. i'm looking forward to what's to come!

i genuinely wonder if any former longtime pb employees (especially the ogs that had been there 10+ years) look at the state of their beloved app and like. detest it or something. because you stay and you stay and you stay with the promise that things will get better until one day 75% of employees are laid off including yourself and then your game that you kinda put your heart and soul into is sold to a generative ai company. anyways i really do wish them well and onto better projects

Modern choices books be like, take this scene to spend time with your friends, but 'your friends' are actually

your LI (whether you like it or not)

1-2 other potential LIs who you don't romance, so all of their meaningful character establishing moments get left behind the paywall, reducing their role to that of an awkward third wheel

that one supporting character who actually has personality and depth and who you care more about than anything else in the book

2-4 reused sprites supporting characters who only exist to make the book's universe feel less empty and soulless, but they appear in like 2 scenes throughout the story, thus somehow achieving the opposite effect
