Sleepy Pup
Dennis always had bruises on his knees, but not for the reason youâd think.
Dennis wouldnât dare say he was abused as a child. He felt like that was just asking for people to ask questions and he didnât want to talk about it. It wasnât all that bad. They fed and clothed him. He went to college, didnât he? Heâs a doctor now, not that they care. Sure they were a strict on him, but what Catholic parents arenât?
His parents raised him on the word of the Lord. Obey your parents. Man shall lay with women. God above all others. All that jazz. Itâs engraved so deep in his brain, he doesnât think itâll ever go away.
Dennis moved away from home right at the start of college. Sending any spare penny he had back home to help with the farm. He didnât stay home to help his Pa out. He didnât continue his degree in Theology. Sending money home is the least he can do. Thatâs what his parents say anyways.
Dennis was relieved when Robby asked him to housesit during his sabbatical, and even more so when Robby came back after those long 3 months and told Dennis he could stay. That he liked the company. As much as Dennis secretly loved living with Trinity, he always felt like he was looking over his shoulder. Waiting for his Pa to bang down the door and see he was living in sin. Unwed living under the same room as a woman. A gay woman at that.
So, as much as Dennis hated leaving Trinity, he said yes and moved in with Robby. Theyâve sort of become friends in the 2 months heâs been here. Theyâve eat dinner together sometimes. Mostly they respect each others space, especially after long days. He does miss when Trinity would drag him out of his room to watch Greyâs Anatomy and make fun of all the medical inaccuracies.
Heâs actually missing Trinity a lot right now. Itâs 3am and he canât slept. Tossing and turning ever since his shift ended. It was a really bad one. Neither he or Robby said anything when they got home. Just when straight to their individual rooms and tried to sleep.
He huffs and finally decides to get up and get some water, maybe a snack will help too. He walks the the kitchen in just grey undershirt and his boxers. Not bothering with the kitchen light, he walks straight to the cabinet, grabs a glass, and sticks it under the water dispenser in the fridge.
âWhitaker?â He turns and Robby is sitting on the sofa. It looks like heâs watching some old history channel documentary. âCouldnât sleep either?â
âNo, I just came to grab some water.â
âCome sit. I made a frozen pizzaâ Dennis goes and sure enough thereâs a half eaten pizza on the coffee table. He grabs a slice and sits next to Robby on the sofa. They sit in silence for a while, here and there they make comments about the show. Dennis eyes Robby from his peripheral view. He looks comfy, homely. Heâs sitting in black pajama pants and a worn navy blue cotton tee thatâs probably older than Dennis himself. He sees his Magen David resting against his shirt. The light from the tv reflects off the gold.
âDo you still practice?â He gestures to the necklace. Fully turning to face Robby. He doesnât know why he asks. Heâs actually curious. Living with Robby he knows he doesnât practice kosher. He wonders why he still wears the necklace.
Robby looks down and takes the pendent between his thumb and forefinger. âNo I donât. I havenât since my grandmother passed when I was in college. I mostly wear in remembrance of her.â Oh so thatâs why. Heâs heard about Robbyâs grandmother here and there. He guesses his mother wasnât around much but he tries not to pry into his private life. âWhat about you?â
Dennis looks down and at first glance, thereâs nothing. He slowly pulls the silver cross from under his shirt and follows Robbyâs hold on his own pendent. He always keeps it under his shirt. He wonders how and when Robby saw it. âItâs⊠complicated.â He settles on. He doesnât really want to go into detail about his crisis of faith right now.
Robby turns to face him more fully now. Elbow on the back of the sofa and palm resting on his head. âComplicated how?â He asks.
Dennis bites the inside of his cheek. Trying to figure out what to say without saying too much. âMy parents are very old school on religion. Strict, I guess. Itâs been hard trying to break old habitsâ
Robby furrows his brow. âSo youâre trying to break old habits because you donât believe anymore?â
âI donât really know actually.â Dennis answers honestly. âI think I jump back and forth between yes I believe and no I donât a lot.â He doesnât know why heâs being so honest right now. This is the most heâs ever talked about his home life, and heâs barely scratching the surface.
âAnd what habits are you trying to break?â He sounds genuinely curious. Like he just wants to know more about Dennis. He makes him feel⊠safe almost. Something he hasnât really felt in a long time. Maybe thatâs why he answers without thinking.
âOh you know, thinking Iâm spending eternity in hell for every bad thought. Spending hours kneeling in rice trying to make up penance. You know all that good stuffâ He kind of laughs as he says it. Because to him it really is funny. Donât all Catholics do that?
Robby is not laughing though. Heâs looking at him very intently. He looks down where Dennis is sitting on the sofa, at Dennisâ knees where his legs are folded under him, and Dennis suddenly feels naked. Heâs very aware thatâs heâs only in boxers. Why did he come out only in boxers?
He slowly puts his hand over his knee, and Dennis flinches. Not because it hurts. The cuts on his knees from two weeks ago have long scabbed. Thereâs hundreds of them sitting on top of scars of a thousand more. He flinches because Robby is touching him. He feels seen by Robby. Too seen. Naked and exposed to apart of himself he thought he closed off to the public when he left for college. Why did he say those things? Heâs always very aware of what his lets others know about himself.
âDennis.â Robby says in a soft tone. Heâs talking to him in that voice he uses for scared and abused patients. Dennis doesnât like that. He wasnât abused! He blinks away tears that threaten to fall. He should go. Heâs about to freak out and Robby doesnât need to see any more of him tonight. âDennis, do you still do that? Kneel in rice when you feel like youâve messed up?â
Dennis stands suddenly at that. So sudden that Robby jumps back. Great. Now Robbyâs scared of him. âI should go.â He says so fast that Robby barely catches the words. He rushes out of the living room and when he gets to his room he slams the door and locks it. He leans his back against the door and tries to catch his breath. The doctor side of his brain knows heâs having a panic attack, but the other side wonât allow himself to admit it. Heâs fine. Heâs a doctor. Heâs a man. He doesnât have panic attacks. He just needs to breathe.
A knock at the door jostles him a little bit. âDennis.â Robby says, so caring and kind. âAre you okay? Just come out. We can talk about this. Or we donât have to talk. I just want to make sure youâre okay.â
Dennis
He realized now Robbyâs been calling him by his first name. Not Whitaker like he usually does. Fresh tears roll down his face. The way his name sounds coming out of his mouth, soft and caring, makes his stomach turn. In a good way? In a bad way? He doesnât know. It gets confusing in his mind.
The tears donât stop rolling. His brain is yelling at him. Quit crying and whining like a little girl. The voice sounds similar to his fatherâs.
Fuck this. He pushes himself off the door and shoving random clothes into his back pack. Some of it his, some of it Robbyâs. Old clothes from college that didnât fit anymore so he gave to Dennis. When heâs done he shoves his legs into a random shorts and his shoes, then throws the backpack on.
He pauses before opening the door. Itâs silent on the other side now. Maybe Robby went to bed. He hopes so, he doesnât want to face him when he leaves. Is he over reacting? He is huffing and puffing like a little girl, like his brain said. If only his Pa could see him now.
Before he can change his mind he throws the door open and hurries to the front door. He thinks heâs in the clear until he gets to the living room. Robby is standing there in the middle, on the phone. His big worried eyes find Dennisâ sad ones.
âHold on Jack-â he says on the phone. Welp. Now Dr. Abbott knows heâs fucked up too. Thatâs okay. At least he doesnât see Dr. Abbott all that much. âDennis, are you leaving?â
There it is again. Dennis. His thoughts are all over the place. Bits and pieces of everything heâs panicking about.
Robbyâs voice.
Robbyâs sad eyes.
Trinity.
His Pa.
The farm.
His feelings for Robby.
Jesus.
The incident.
Kneeling.
Kneeling.
Kneeling.
âIm sorry. I canât stay. I shouldâve left a long time ago. Sorry for intruding on your space.â Robby looks confused. He walks up putting his big hand against his neck. Dennis wants be soothed like he usually does. Instead he tenses at the contact. He knows Robby feels it because he grips him a little harder after. As if heâs going to force Dennis to stay put.
âDennis. Youâre not intruding. I invited you to stay. I wanted you to stay. Itâs late and we have a shift in a couple hours. Why donât we just go to bed. We can sort it out tomorrow yeah?â
Wanted. Robby wanted him. It makes his skin crawl with disgust. Or with desire? Again he canât tell.
âIm sorry for bothering you Dr. Robby. Iâll see you at work.â Dr. Robby. The final nail in the coffin that hopefully Robby will understand. They canât be friends. Dennis canât have a crush on his boss. His male boss. They need to be coworkers and nothing more. Itâs better for everyone that way.
Robby genuinely looks like he might cry at Dennisâ words. Dennis is already crying, he doesnât need Robby to add to that. So, he shakes Robbyâs hand off and rushes out the front door, letting it slam shut behind him. Robby doesnât follow.
Dennis can barely catch his breath as heâs walking. He doesnât know where heâs going, but heâs been homeless before he guesses he can do it again. He canât go back to the hospital, he has a feeling Dr. Abbott is keeping a look out for him. Instead he wonders nowhere in particular. Itâs cold out and heâs wearing shorts and a tee shirt. Hes shivering so hard he thinks he might pass out soon just from all the energy heâs exerting to keep warm.
He keeps repeating to himself everything is fine. Robby will forget. Heâll go back to work and act like nothing happened. If Robby persists maybe he can see about switching programs. Itâs late in the year, and he canât really afford a gap year. But heâll do it if he has to.
After 30 minutes on wondering, his feet unknowingly bring him to a front door. The door of the only other place heâs ever felt safe. Trinitys.

Trans!Dennis who has never been able to orgasm from head before so he always tries to lead them away from it so he doesnât have to fake an orgasm again.
When he starts dating Robby everytime they have sex and Robby begins trailing kisses down his chest Dennis pulls him back up instead making out with him. Heâll attempt to flip him over instead and give Robby a blowjob or smth.
One day Robby begs Dennis to finally let him eat him out when Dennis tells him why he doesnât like when people give him head.
âPlease Den just let me try. I promise Iâll stop if you donât feel anything and we can just do something else.â
Dennis reluctantly agrees, but boy is he glad he did.
As soon as Robby starts trailing kisses against his inner thigh and the first stroke of his tongue against his slick hole is like heaven. His back immediately is bowing of the bed.
âFuck Robby- shit that feels so good!â
Robby just chuckles sending waves of sparks up Dennisâ spine.
Robby alternates between tonguing at his hole and sucking on his t-dick.
Finally Dennis has reached his climax for the first time via head.
As Robby kisses back up his body to Dennisâ face, Dennis is panting before leaning in to kiss Robby, moaning at the taste of himself on Robbyâs lips.
âSo, did you like it? Better than you thought?â
âYes Robby. Fuck. Thank you.â Dennis replies before leaning in to kiss him again.
Now Dennis is always begging Robby to give him head.
Hybrid!Dennis AU Part 3
Part 1 Part 2
"Denny?"
Robby knocked softly on the door. He'd told the pup he could shower before they went to the store. Robby felt a little selfish but he didn't want the kid to smell like the pound anymore. He wanted those soft golden curls and blonde hair to smell like him.
He slowly opened the door, calling out to the hybrid once more. "Denny, I'm coming in now. Please say something if you don't want me to. I'll cover my eyes, I just need to make sure you're okay."
He heard a faint snuffling sound from the shower as he plastered a hand across his eyes. Reaching out blindly, he found the vanity counter to stabilize himself.
"Dennis? Answer me, kid. Are you alright?"
More snuffles and then the shower door was opening, the sound of the water streaming on the shower tiles growing louder.
"You can look . . . Sir. I don't mind." Came a weak voice from somewhere inside.
Robby slowly pulled his hand away and was met with the sight of Dennis sitting on the shower floor, knees to his chest with his arms crossed in front of his legs.
"Hey pup. What's taking so long? You've been in here a while. . . Don't you wanna go pick out some new toys from the store?"
His tone was gentle. Concerned. Dennis looked up at him through his lashes before glancing back down at his knees.
"I-I don't know how . . . Sir."
"How to what?"
"They used to just spray me with the hose."
Ah. Robby reached forward and grabbed the shampoo and conditioner, then knelt down on his knees.
"Can you sit a little closer pup--out of the stream? I'll help you."
Dennis snapped his head up, nodding and scrambling up so his knees were underneath him again. In doing so, Robby got an eyeful of soft golden fur trailing down from the hybrid's belly button to crown his soft cock. It wasn't terribly big, but it was a good looking cocklet that had Robby blushing and glancing away quickly.
Robby decidedly kept his eyes northbound, focused on scrubbing the suds into the boy's hair--careful not to get any shampoo in his ears. As he worked on lathering the products into the pup's hair, he tasked the boy with washing his own body. Robby handed him his eucalyptus soap, secretly pleased when the boy sniffed at it and started wagging his water-logged tail limply.
Once they got him all cleaned up, Dennis surprised Robby with a full-body shake, flinging water droplets all over the bathroom. Robby smiled as he wiped a towel over his now wet face and beard. Guess they'll be having him do that with the shower door closed in the future.
Robby stripped out of his damp shirt to change into a fresh one and caught Dennis eyeing him up. The hybrid stood in the middle of his room, stark naked and Robby accidentally caught another sight of the boy's now slightly hardened cocklet. Dennis continued to stare at the expanse of Robby's hairy chest and tummy until Robby eventually put on another shirt.
Robby let the boy pick out some clothes from his closet, after handing him a clean pair of his own boxers which hung off of his hips loosely. He wanted to burn the rags the boy came home in from the pound. They'd need to go shopping for everything, he realized. It was no matter, he had years worth of an attending's salary burning a hole in his bank account anyways.
Dennis came out of Robby's closet wearing a pair of scrub pants, a Green Day shirt, and Robby's Beers of the Burgh hoodie. Robby smiled at the endearing sight. The clothes hung on his frame and his ears were folded sideways as he sought Robby's approval.
"Okay pup, let's go shopping."
The boy perked up and excitedly followed Robby down the stairs, hopping in the car and buckling himself in this time. He was a smart pup. Only needed to be shown once before figuring things out on his own.
They went to the general hybrid department store. It had everything under the sun from clothing, dog beds, and fur shampoo all the way to collars, harnesses, and sex toys. The two of them went aisle by aisle. Robby had to encourage Dennis quite a few times in order to get the boy to start picking things out.
He didn't seem to care much for clothes, pleading with Robby not to waste his money. Robby cursed himself as he secretly debated just keeping the boy naked at home. No need for clothes if he was gonna keep him warm, fed, and happy all the time. What's that saying again-- fed and bred keeps 'em happy in bed . . .
Robby shook the dirty thoughts from his head as he helped the boy pick out enough outfits for a whole week of clothes. He had a feeling they wouldn't be worn much, the boy seemed to prefer borrowing Robby's clothes by the way he kept sniffing at the hem of the old tee and smiling.
Nevertheless, Robby wanted to make sure Dennis had everything he'd ever want or need. They were both relieved when they finally moved on to the next aisle.
Collars.

To Bush, Or Not To Bush. That Is the Question- Trans! Dennis Whitaker
(A/N): I keep seeing these posts and comments about bushes specifically Robbyâs reaction to Dennisâs bush (wilderness) and what would happen if Dennis decided to shave it. So I humbly offer you this one-shot.
Hybrid AU Part 2
Part 1
Um I guess there are endless small, doe-eyed creatures to compare Dennis to, and I failed to consider Bunny Dennis, with long droopy ears and a little puff of a tail. When he starts dating married bear!Robby and wolf!Abbot, people are worried about him. The abuse that's possible in a prey/predator relationship is a well-known phenomenon, and people can't help but be concerned when they see this timid bunny with teary eyes always tucked in between Abbot and Robby, who are intimidating even amongst other apex predators. Little do they know that Dennis only feels safe with them looming over him.
Puppy Dennis & Park
Uh I got carried away, but I really liked the idea of Park, like everyone else, falling victim to Whitaker's inevitable charm. This is a ramble and completely unedited. :) I think of this as a part of my other Puppy!Dennis drabbles where he's kind of a traumatized rescue.
Mmmm Abbot and Robby being old friends with Park the Shark and they have him over to watch the game and have some beers.
Puppy Dennis who is not a fan, immediately. As soon as Park arrives he's hiding behind the couch, ears flat and tail tucked.
His intuition is only confirmed when Park huffs and makes an offhanded comment. "Not a very polite puppy. You guys never shut up about how sweet he is," Park grumbled.
Dennis felt his shoulders hunch as he tried to make himself smaller, ashamed. He was Jack and Robby's good boy. He tried so hard to be their good boy, but no bone in his body wanted to go greet the tall, severe-looking man.
"He is a sweet puppy, and he's shy," Abbot said pointedly as he grabbed drinks for them.
"Be nice, and maybe you'll earn that sweetness," Robby added. Park scoffed.
< Part 1
At some point throughout the night, Dennis had lost Robby. Heâd been right by his side then suddenly he had vanished. Dennis thinks it was when Trinity forced him to do the dirty dancing lift, the crowd had definitely dispersed when theyâd done that. Thank God it was something theyâd before and he hadnât had much to drink or else he was sure theyâd have both ended up on the floor.
Heâd enjoyed dancing with Robby tonight, he also enjoyed doing other stuff with Robby tonight. Dennis thought the other man would shy away from his touch as soon as they were in front of their colleagues but he didnât. He happily let Dennis dance around him and on him. He even laughed when Dennis forced him to move a little more with his hands on his hips.
But now he had lost him and when the promise of going back to Robbyâs had been placed on the table, he was determined to find him.
Dennis Whitaker never expected to have soulmates.
He was born in Broken Bow, Nebraska, where everyone knew everyone. It was a small community.
He was so sure that he'd stay there. That he'll find his someone there. That he'll start seeing colors pretty much as soon as he starts school.
He was wrong.
Robby adopts a pup!
There's a law that all hybrids must be owned by a registered caretaker. The law was originally supposed to be a good thing, to keep hybrids off the streets and in proper homes with good care. But as with many things, the government fucked up and only went halfway. They established the law and enforce it, but don't do any of the work to ensure the hybrids end up in good homes.
Robby told everyone he was taking a sabbatical. Really he just needed a fucking break from everything. He stayed home and rotted on his couch for the first week or so. Too exhausted to properly take care of himself. After that, he got lonely.
One night, at about 2 in the morning, Robby awoke to an ad running on the TV. It was one of those sad shelter dog commercials showing poor little helpless hybrids behind bars. He rolled over on the couch, but couldn't go back to sleep.
Maybe that would be his solution. Most of all, he wanted to feel needed by someone. Maybe he'd rescue one of those poor souls and give it a shot. He'd never really been into hybrid play much, but if the pup didn't wanna go there, he wouldn't force it.
The next day, Robby took a shower (his first one all week) and put on some fresh clothes. As he grabbed his keys, he noticed how messy the townhouse was, so he spent about 45 minutes sprucing up the place. It wasn't perfect, but it hopefully wouldn't horrify the pup when he brought it home.
At the pound, the worker asked some preliminary questions about his job, marital status, finances, and living situation. In almost no time at all, he got a green stamp on his file and was cleared as a registered owner. The next step was finding a good match to adopt.
They asked him some questions about his preferences and Robby started to get a little antsy. Do you want one that can talk? Strapping stud or twink? How young?
He really wasn't sure what he wanted, so he asked if he could just walk through the kennels and see what came of it. As he was strolling down the aisle, he was growled at, barked at, and even pissed at. Jumping away from the stream, his back slammed into the kennel on the other side of the aisle. The bars clattered loudly and a small whimper emerged from behind him.
Robby turned around and was met with the sight of a thin, pale hybrid with big, sad blue eyes. His hair was a dirty blonde, dull and cropped short by staff for cleanliness. A pair of golden ears flopped on his head as the boy curled up in the corner again.
"Hey there." Robby knelt down, trying to make himself appear less intimidating.
The hybrid perked his head up and sniffed the air once, twice, before hesitantly crawling closer. His blue eyes were wide with mistrust and sadness and Robby's heart shattered at the sight.
"It's okay, you can come closer. I won't hurt you. My name is Robby. Can you speak?"
The hybrid assessed him for a moment, before crawling even closer and nodding his head. Robby glanced to the shelter worker, silently asking if he could go into the kennel. She nodded and took a step back to give them a moment. A sad smile appeared on her face as she saw their longest shelter resident finally getting some interest from a potential adopter.
Robby unclipped the external latch and slowly swung the kennel door open, unsure if the hybrid would bolt or cower in the corner. To his pleasant surprise, the boy did neither. He sat up and cocked his head to the side, giving him a goofy look as his ears flopped on his head.
Robby held out his hand for the boy to sniff. The hybrid leaned in closer, his eyes watching Robby's movements carefully as he brought his head down to Robby's hand. To Robby's surprise, he nudged his head against Robby's fingers, asking to be pet. Robby instantly smiled and started scratching behind his ears. The hybrid lit up like a light and his tail full of golden curls flopped out from where it was tucked and started swishing in the air.
"Can you tell me your name?" Robby asked as the hybrid rolled onto his back, exposing his belly as a sign of trust.
"Dennis, b-but sometimes people call me Denny."
"Okay, Denny. Do you want to come home with me?"
Dennis instantly shot up to his feet and dove into Robby's lap, rubbing his body all over the man. His tail was like a helicopter and his eyes were brimming with tears.
"Yeah? Okay buddy, let's get you home."
Part 2
Robby brings puppy home!
Part 1
Dennis clung to Robby's elbow as the man signed the papers. The official legal documents that stated Dennis now belonged to someone. They scanned the hybrid's microchip between his shoulder blades and registered it under Robby's name and everything.
Dennis refused to let go of Robby's arm the entire time. His wide eyes watching everything that occured, tail swishing side to side. The only time his tail ever stopped wagging and tucked back in was when Robby pushed open the doors to leave.
Dennis planted his feet, staring at the next chapter of his life. The sunlight was streaming down and he blinked his eyes, watching as his owner turned to face him.
"It's okay baby, we're going to get you home and cleaned up and then later, if you want, we can go to the store to get you a few supplies. That sound okay?"
Dennis nodded, a little unsure. He let the man pull him gently towards a car. Robby opened the passenger door for Dennis who slowly sat down. Robby bent over him and buckled the seatbelt in place, grunting as he bent over Dennis to reach. He closed the car door softly and got into the drivers seat.
The ride home was mostly silent. Robby explained to Dennis that he'd never owned or been with a hybrid before and that he was new to this. He felt embarrassed that he hadn't gotten any supplies ready beforehand, but was excited to let Dennis pick out his own things. Dennis just sat there quietly, looking out the window and drinking it all in.
Robby started to wonder if maybe he'd made a mistake. The hybrid's entire demeanor had shifted and he was worried he'd done something to scare the pup somehow. No matter what, he would give the boy a good home. Even if that meant they rarely interacted. Whatever the pup was willing to give, he would gladly accept.
"It's not much, but it's home." Robby said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously as the door swung open.
Dennis peered in the doorway with wide eyes, before hesitantly taking a step inside.
"It's okay, Denny. You can go explore if you want. What's mine is yours now too. . . just--uh--don't damage anything and if you need to go potty, there's a toilet."
Robby scratched his beard, wondering if the boy was even potty trained, let alone house trained. Dennis looked to Robby with an unreadable expression on his face. Robby nodded encouragingly at him and the hybrid took off running.
Dennis darted from one room to the next, running in a big circle and sniffing the air before taking off down the hallway to discover more rooms. His tail was wagging so hard it smacked into the couch, then the walls, and then the boy was running up the stairs. Robby chuckled as he saw Dennis excitedly exploring. Maybe this wasn't some colossal mistake after all.
He heard the boy's steps thumping around upstairs before everything went quiet. Robby sighed and walked up the stairs, looking into the office, guest bedroom, and guest bathroom and finding them all empty. He walked over to the last door--the master bedroom, and found Dennis standing there looking at his unmade bed.
Robby blushed as he realized he'd left dirty clothes strewn about in various spots on the floor. The sheets on the bed were rumpled and the nightstand held various bottles and cans.
"You--uh--you don't have to stay in here with me. You can stay in the guest bed if you want."
"Bed?" The boy asked, turning towards Robby.
"Yeah, I mean you can do whatever is most comfortable. We can look into getting you a dog bed as well, for in the living room or something, but you don't have to sleep there at night."
Dennis looked back at Robby's bed and pondered on his thoughts for a moment. Then he turned and kneeled on the ground in front of Robby. He slowly reached forward to tug down Robby's pants.
"Woah, kid, hold up."
The boy's eyes snapped up to his, wide eyes brimming with concern.
"Did I mess up already? I-I know I need to please you a-and you're offering me a bed and I need to be a good boy and thank you for being so nice and please don't send me back, I can do better, I promise!"
"Shhh, Denny, I'm not going to send you back. A-and you don't need to thank me, kid. I don't expect anything from you. I mean--if you wanna go down that route we can certainly discuss it, but I won't force you to do anything you aren't comfortable with. But we don't have to take that step right now, I want you to get settled first before we discus anything of that nature."
The boy eyed him cautiously, pulling his hands back from where they'd paused while undoing Robby's pants. "Y-you don't . . . want me?"
"Jesus kid, of course I want you. But not as some type of "payment", okay? You don't owe me anything. We can live here, as equals, okay?"
"Equals?"
"Yeah."
The boy cocked his head to the side, his ears flopping. He sat there for a moment and considered everything before his tail started slowly wagging. He looked back up at Robby and smiled the most heart-warming, precious smile that Robby had ever seen. It was like the very sun came out and was warming Robby's cold soul.
Equals.

robby will not let his boyfriend take care of him when heâs sick, he could have a fever of 105°F and still be up shuffling around the house, insisting heâs fine
so dennis had to get creative. thatâs where the sexy nurse outfit comes in. he felt so stupid putting it on the first time but it actually fucking worked
as soon as robby saw him, he stopped dead in his tracks. he was cleaning around the house while sniffling and coughing, until his red, wet eyes landed on dennis. his skin was already flushed from the fever, but dennis swears robbyâs cheeks became redder.
his obviously flustered boyfriend made dennis feel more confident. he stepped close, took the dustpan and broom away from robby and set them on the wall, and robby just let him, speechless.
âdennis⊠what-â he coughs, âwhat is this?â
dennis bit back a smirk. his boyfriend could be adorable sometimes, trying to act like the short skirt of the dress and the red lace peaking out isnât affecting him. dennis doesnât have the volume to fill out the cleavage, but it doesnât seem to matter to robby, as his eyes are clearly fixated on dennisâ chest area.
âi just wanna take care of you, same way you always take care of me,â dennis say, voice as soft as he could muster. he didnât try make his voice breathy and porn like, as his costume would suggest, because his main concern was still his boyfriendâs well being.
âare you gonna let me,â dennis adds, taking robbyâs hand.
robby just nods and lets dennis lead him to their bed.
âif youâre good and let yourself recover from your illness, youâll get a treat, mmh ?â
âokay,â robby breathes out. and he is good, the rest of the day. lets dennis spoon feed him soup, naps when dennis tells him too, accept medication, stops lying about his pain levelsâŠ
turns out having a boyfriend whoâs default setting us horny is easier than dennis previously thought
Robby had always made assumptions about the relationship between Dennis and his family. Mostly based on the way Dennis had imprinted on him when he first started at the Pitt, he assumed their relationship was strained. Especially the one with his dad.
But once they started dating Dennis talked more about his family and Robby realised he loved them a lot. He always talked about his mumâs cooking and how sheâd filled their home with love. He talked about how his brothers were loud and rowdy but always fiercely protective of their youngest brother. And his dad? Robby quickly found out that Dennis adored his dad, the man was perfect in his eyes and did everything and anything for his baby son.
Despite Robbyâs assumptions, it turned out that Dennis was the biggest Daddyâs boy ever.

theyâre using robbyâs small hot top that fits 4 people, but dennis isnât as big as the others and manages to fit, except heâs kinda of in an awkward in-between space, sandwiched by robby and jack, with basically no space to move.
worse, one of the jets opposite of him is somehow, someway, aimed directly at his crotch and hits his clit through his swim trunks.
he has to sit there, body warmed by the water and the heat radiating from his two crushes coworkers bossesâ skin, surrounded by, letâs be honest, sleazy men, all while trying to ignore the stimulation between his legs as to not cum.
it doesnât help that these men spend all night teasing him about the little blush on his cheeks and the way he seems out of breathâŠ
Robby knew that Dennis was attractive, he had just the right amount of muscles, he dressed well for his body (thanks to Trinity), he had a beautiful smile, he was genuinely caring towards others, his laugh lit up a room, he was patient, he was kind, he was funny. So, yes, Robby understood Dennis was attractive, the number of nights he spent thinking about him just proved the point really.
But he was used to pushing those feelings down, hiding them behind a professional smile so nobody would know what he truly thought. He could deal with keeping his attraction a secret just fine.
What Robby couldnât deal with was everybody else also thinking Dennis was attractive.
Thinking...service dog Dennis on a rare night shift during a thunder storm. And Abbot finds him hiding under the table in the break room from some particularly loud thunder
Service Dog Dennis AU Part 10
Thank you so much for this, I'm sorry it took so long! I'm also sorry because there is a mention of Dennis wetting himself out of fear, but this is absolutely a non-sexual caretaking situation.
Jack had been caught off guard when the thunder first started. He never really bothered to check the weather forecast; Robby always claimed it was his last desperate attempt to cling to a sense of sponteneity and adventure.
Jack told Robby that someone with a midlife crisis bike didn't get to say those things.
He hadn't really thought much of it, beyond noting which patients or staff seemed spooked by the sound - nothing too bad, some kids with some wobbly lip and a few of the residents flinched a little at the first clap, but nobody seemed to need any kind of intervention.
The fact that he hadn't even thought to check on Dennis would always sit in the corners of his mind where he kept his all his failures close.
The night had been a busy one, and he had lost track of Dennis' happy tail and twitchy ears as they passed each other like ships in the night, wending their way to different bedsides and rarely overlapping.
As soon as he sepped into the break room during a lull, it was immediately obvious that something was wrong.
The smell hit him first; the distinct, stale odour of urine soaking into the air. It was immediate and the source obvious; a cold puddle trailing out from underneath the table, where Jack could see a pair of battered shoes that he recognised with a rapidly-sinking stomach.
"Dennis?" He crouched slowly, keeping his distance from the table, for reasons entirely unrelated to the urine.
He received no response, and he didn't need one.
Because there, huddled under the table and shaking so violently that his muscles must surely be stiffening painfully, was their sweet Dennis.
