Evil/Yandere Will AU

I like the idea of Will being slowly corrupted by mind flayer and willingly become evil at the end

And Mike constantly feels guilty for being unable to prevent it, even though they once were close friends

So Mike is stuck in alternative world/ Will’s mind forever but he can’t even be mad at Will, as he was one of the main reasons Will ended up like this

At the end Mike decides to stay with Will until he can somehow reach “true” Will and get him back (he won’t succeed)

And the whole thing is very dark and constantly feels hopeless
