sheās the youngest of three in a middle-class family to a corporate drone dad and nurse mom. parents were really busy with work and her siblings were both much older than her (age difference of 15 & 18 between her and her brother & sister respectively); was raised by her grandma for the most part. kind of feels like sheās an only child sometimes. also contrary to popular belief, she didnāt really get spoiled much by anyone other than her grandma who loved to indulge her whims.
pretty down-to-earth girl who marches to the beat of her own drum; jumped around a few extracurriculars here and there before settling in the photography club, caused her parents a few more scares than her siblings ever did (one time she went over a friendās house after school but forgot to tell anyone and made everyone panic), etc. that being said, she tends to put in a lot of effort into things she likes so she did fairly well in her studies all the way into university.
got hired as an in-house graphic designer at a big conglomerate company right after graduation which she thought was super luckyā¦ until she started working there. long story short: it was a toxic work environment. very textbook. she had a horrible manager who would constantly offload their work on her and basically bully her š, and an old-school team leader who loved after-work dinner parties šš«š among the other things that happenedĀ
ended up staying there for like two and a half years bc 1. itāll look bad on her resume to quit right off the bat 2. got influenced by someone she thought was on her side in the company and was like yeah, it could be worse. whole time she was so miserable chunks of her hair fell out, her nails were chewed right to the bottom, and grew increasingly haggard. finally quit after opening up to her older sister about it and being told point-blank she shouldnāt tolerate it, actually.
took a longish break after that (had to) just to likeā¦ soul-search and do some ##healing; her self-esteem took a pretty big hit during those few years. did a lot of freelance work during the in-between period, before eventually deciding she preferred the stability of working at a company and rejoined the slog of job-seeking.
if sheās being really honest, highbrow wouldnāt have been among her choices (even if she was interested in fashion) if not for a friend who told her about a position opening up and encouraged her to apply. hesitated for a while but in the end she kind of just bit the bullet and said fuck it, whatās one more job application. fast forward weeks later and now sheās the newest manager for creative development!! everyone clap ššš„³š
very mindful about how she treats everyone, especially those under her; tries her best to be the kind of boss she wants?Ā definitely more on the reserved side, but is surprisingly(?) easy to get along with if you just ignore how obsessed she gets with getting certain details ārightā even if it might not really matter. would be more than happy to help with anything if asked.
not a gossip person at all (rip) but not to the extent that sheād ask you to fuck off if you do share gossip with her š at the very least you can count on her not to spread anything around, especially if itās malicious/obviously personal. doesnāt put much stock into the gossip she hears
lesbian!!!!!! out to anyone that matters, but doesnāt think itās anyone elseās business to know. also fun(?) fact: it took a bit for her parents to be ok with it and the main reason they eventually came around is because both her brother and sister are married with children LOL
sews but only as a hobbyā¦ yes she takes it seriously but because itās genuinely really fun for her. zero formal training ok she learned it young from her grandma because she loves any excuse to spend time with her (little grandmaās girl!!!!) and it just continued from there. also has a youtube channel she started in 2015 as a sort of sewing journal to keep track of her various projects. ironically chronically offline for working at a magazine that prides itself on reporting trends as a result but!!! has been trying to get better at getting on top of itĀ
currently lives in yeonnam which is a stoneās throw away from the office so she usually just walks the 15 minutes give or take. sometimes takes the bus if sheās running late or couldnāt be assed to walk that day

iām very down to brainstorm and come up with ideas for both our muses!!! these are just some ideas i have floating around:
the friend who encouraged her to apply! she joined in august 2024 so definitely anyone who joined a few months before that
this is soooo embarrassing for her but someone who knows her specifically from her youtube channel and is even subscribed to her
itās overtime at work and the trains/buses have stopped running and they donāt have a car to get home, so she takes pity on them and offers them a place to crash for the night
would absolutely love love one where they just keep butting heads creatively and it doesnāt necessarily need to be antagonistic beyond that but can be; iām up for anything!!
also this isnāt really a plot but just for your consideration: a niece/nephew (b. 2005~2002) who works in the same building just bc i think it would be a fun dynamic!!!!
