Hey guys!
So I know that we are all struggling right now and there is a lot of uncertainty in the world, but I don’t know who else to turn to. On a lot of my darkest days, this is where I have come for comfort and help. Some of you may know that a few weeks back my boyfriend, Matt, and I were doing some traveling to see my family that I hadn’t seen in almost two years. The day before we were supposed to fly back to Oregon, I had a really bad sore throat. I decided to tough it out and fly home anyway because I needed to get back to work. The flight was really rough. By the time we got back to Oregon, I had a fever and felt incredibly ill. Fast forward a couple of days and Matt was really sick as well. We both ended up having to go to the emergency room and Matt unfortunately had a really bad chest X-Ray. He was told he had pneumonia in both of his lungs and the doctor told us that his X-Ray showed the “covid pattern.” We were both swabbed for Covid. Since we are young and otherwise relatively healthy, we were allowed to go home with medication and an order to self quarantine for fourteen days while awaiting the results of our swabs. Unfortunately, our swabs have still not come back and we have both been out of work for almost a full month. Matt’s company is closed indefinitely and although my job is considered essential, they will not allow me back until my results are in and I am cleared by a doctor. We have been grinding and trying to make ends meet, but rent is going to be due in just a couple of days and we are unsure of how we are going to pay it. If you can afford to help financially in any way, I assure you that it will be so so so appreciated. We will definitely pay it forward to someone else in the future when times aren’t so hard. I feel bad having to ask when I know that there are many who are in the same boat as me, but I truly don’t have any other options. I love you all so much.
