The forehead has been liberated and it's another Look™ for the record books! 🥳
What do you meeeeeeeeeaaaaaaan they performed Extancy on a music show????? This song is such a BANGER. And look at them. XLOV is really out here knocking down barriers to queer rep in Kpop because what are the excuses going to be after this comeback? They're fearless. Stan XLOV. Support XLOV.
Never forget.
wumuti x han sohee 'serve' mv
This choreo is incredible and they dance it so well.
I want the world for them, I hope they get their first music show win with this but I don't know if SK is ready. 😭
Bonus adorable interview where they talk about how getting their first win on a music show is their biggest dream right now.
I don’t understand why there are kpop fans including some queer people who deadass think xlov is using their genderless concept as queerbaiting or a cashgrab. I mean I’ve long given up on kpop fans using even 3% of their brain cells and most xlov hate is queerphobia so I usually ignore it.
But it thoroughly kills me when I see supposed queer accs say this. Like…how privileged and removed from reality do you have to be? Ngl this is the type of shit some white queers from western countries be saying, living in their own bubble online or have been blessed with a supportive family that they take for granted. These are also the same types of people who refuse to acknowledge queerness or sexuality if not said explicitly out loud.
Being queer is a stigma. There are countries including ones who’ve legalized gay marriage where people are being killed as we speak for their sexuality. Homophobia is everywhere and countries like Korea is so seeped in conservatism that there are korean trump supporters marching with american flags at their protests. I’m not going to speak on xlov’s ceo or company, in the end this is a business and they took a risk banking on xlov being successful.
But to Wumuti, Rui, Hyun, Haru this is obviously not just a concept. This is their lives, this is their way of expressing who they truly are, and the main reason they’ve gone this far with it is because the lgbtq+ community noticed what they were doing and accepted them. Rui’s sister even mentioned how she once heard a woman she knew make a discriminatory remark about Rui. If this was for a successful cashgrab, the idol industry would’ve pushed a group like this a long time ago. They’ve already capitalized on fanservice but a concept like xlov makes things too real. Xlov knows this, knows what people say about them, and have gone all in anyway.
Xlov have created a space in kpop for queer people, most importantly queer people and queer culture in Korea. And it frustrates me when people cheapen that bravery because of how ignorant and out of touch they are.
If that counts as their first non-chaperoned live in the same room since 2016, I just manifested that in real time.
https://www.tumblr.com/stupendousfoxthing/817774010953875456/wanted-to-say-just-one-thing-thank-you-for (same anon here!) of course, no need to thank me! though i can see why you'd be expecting the usual share of tomfuckery from all sides... which btw is the reason i'm forever hesitant to call myself an army despite also being here since 2014 (ish, i've always multistanned) and still lurking about exclusively to support taekook (together and individually). and i agree with you about them being just the same they've always been! it seems to me that, even among taekookers, a lot more people had fallen for the bh "awkward" propaganda than would care to admit, after all. which is sad, but also sort of dissonant to me? because it happens no matter what either jk or tae say and do. scrolling through little seven twt lately feels like they're not even there at all sometimes, they're cardboard cutouts "fans" do whatever they want with. truly baffling stuff.
Oh the tomfuckery. 😂 If someone asked me in real life if I was ARMY I'd say yeah just to avoid confusing them trying to explain that I'm a fan but I don't like identifying with the fandom. The state of the fandom online has just gotten so bad, and it has always been hostile for Taekook and Taekookers anyway. Hmmmm I didn't really think about the awkward narrative twisting even Taekookers' view of them that bad. One place I've always been at odds with the popular narrative is I don't think any "separation" was nearly as bad as most seem to think. There are notable things like the fact that after 2016 they went four years without doing a live together and we still haven't gotten one with them in the same room and not chaperoned since 2016. But there has always been Taekook in official content, and a lot of pretty great moments. Domestic Taekook sharing a room in Malta Bon Voyage is one of my favorites. Tae joining the first season of AYS and that adorable FaceTime in the first ep (notice no other member ever joined them).
This lovely moment I was thinking about recently.
I do think some of the extreme separation narrative comes out of backlash against J*kook being featured so much in content. Now that reminds me I wondered if Taekookers were acting up about seeing them in content during this comeback because they're getting defensive and insecure because of their own narratives about fanservice = ship not real. One of the reasons I've been extra over Taekook discourse lately is I swear 90% of the posts I see are comparing concert moments to J*kook. I can just tell when someone is posting a Taekook moment just to shade the rival ship, it's pretty gross. You know, the "This Taekook moment is so beautiful and means so much to me omg (Jungkook/Tae) really loves (Jungkook/Tae) so much they're each other's whole world mere coworkers can't relate" tweets. So some of the exaggeration and reaching lately might be to fight off insecurity within by getting in a few shots at other ships. It gets on my nerves when I see Taekook being used like that by people who claim to support them.
I've seen lot of tweets this morning equating the moment from last night's concert with the picture from the Golden launch party and just...what the hell man. 😂 Suddenly context doesn't matter anymore and a performance moment is the same as something they did at a private and off work event. Truly mind boggled by this.
About the moments during performances on this tour....Taekook are not acting differently this tour. I keep seeing this narrative that they're freer or bolder or doing more now than they ever have, and I don't know if it's because the people I'm seeing it from those who have never followed the happenings on their tours before but it's not true. There have always been moments like this.
whats your twt
If you're coming to harass me, I have notifications off. 🙂 It's taekookkiss
So what do you believe the relationship of taekook is?
If it wasn't clear, my debunking everything I can does not change that I believe their relationship is romantic. I feel more confident in my beliefs because I eliminate the noise and focus on what's left. That's probably why I've been here for a decade. A lot of significant, meaningful and truly suspicious moments remain.
release it, serve, now you’re under my control

I don't know how anyone can put a positive spin on this, trying to rein in grown adults who were finally given time to explore their own selves and dreams and passions, likes and dislikes and found out they were very different from what was possible for them as a group. This is a description of the hot mess that came about when they tried to force a bunch of puzzle pieces back together that don't fit. Does "we had to force this album and tour out so we can make the next one better" make sense to anyone? Does that sound like a healthy situation to anyone? Describing this future project that will surpass it that is only workable if they have years to plan in advance because of all of the difficulties in forcing all of this back together?
This is a nightmare being described. No room to focus on what anyone wants as an individual, as they all enter their thirties and some approach their forties. As a forty-something, I feel discomfort crawling under my skin listening to this. And ARMY still demands more. Lot of flip-flopping narratives being told over the last few months depending on what setting they're talking to us from, and I really hope they all have a chance to work with a therapist to unpack all of this, honestly.
If Jungkook's solo dream is dead for these years they need from him for the next group project, a dream he talked about a lot in 2023, that he sighed heavily over in a live last year...it's unforgivable.
Visuals so good I CRIED.
Thought I was a Wumuti girl but Hyun has been snatching me thanks to their variety show, this MV did not change the state of that dilemma because oh my god Hyun at 2:08 but then also Wumuti at 2:24. Oh they're insane for this.
wanted to say just one thing: thank you for keeping it real. i'm no stranger to wild leaps of the imagination when it comes to tae and jk's displays of closeness, but twt is moving like wattpad on steroids these days and it's frustrating (when it's not downright ridiculous).
Thanks, I didn't actually expect to get any positive messages and I appreciate it. 🥰
I can't really find much to talk about with any of the BTS-related fandom corners I lurk in. I really don't know what people are talking about with Taekook being more "free" lately because they seem the same as they do every tour to me. I'm seeing the same narratives from Taekookers I've seen every year for a decade about them being bolder and seeming like they're really preparing to come out soon, I guess they're just new? There does seem to be a mass turnover every 2-3 years. I'm still here and I'm tired honestly. Despite what a lot of people probably think, I don't like fighting people but the current state of everything is insane to me. If Tumblr thinks I'm annoying and up everyone's ass you should see the tear I've been on against JJKs over them defending Headliner all day. I just yell into the void at this point. Taekookers don't like me because I debunk and call out bullshit and a lot of them are here for a fantasy (I got unfollowed on here and Twitter for pushing back against the green microphone theory with the receipt of Jungkook himself explaining that tattoo is just part of a larger one representing singing being what he was born to do), Jungkook stans don't like me because I'm a Taekooker (and I call them out on their bullshit). Maybe over a decade is just too long to try to stay in a space like this.
When the party is winding down and it's time to go home.
