I’m writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th, in which I’ll be voting in the state of Tennessee. In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now.  I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country. I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent.

I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love.  Running for Senate in the state of Tennessee is a woman named Marsha Blackburn. As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry. These are not MY Tennessee values. I will be voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives.  Please, please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values. For a lot of us, we may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree 100% on every issue, but we have to vote anyway.

So many intelligent, thoughtful, self-possessed people have turned 18 in the past two years and now have the right and privilege to make their vote count. But first you need to register, which is quick and easy to do. October 9th is the LAST DAY to register to vote in the state of TN. Go to vote.org and you can find all the info. Happy Voting! 🗳😃🌈

Before i start i just want to say how incredibly proud i am of you and how far you’ve come over the past few years! It’s amazing to see you living your best life and being so happy, it’s what you deserve!

10 years ago i first heard your music and since then i’ve been a fan. That afternoon i got home from school and downloaded every song i could find. A lot has happened to me in those 10 years but one thing completely tore it apart. At 14 years old i was sexually assaulted, i thought i was never going to get through it, that it would be the end of me. I blamed myself, maybe i was too drunk? maybe i shouldn’t have worn a skirt? this blaming happened for years and years. But thankfully everyday i had your music to listen to, it made me smile, laugh and cry whenever i needed it the most. One song in particular had a lasting impact on me Change, it motivated me to push through the dark days because life was going to get better and it finally has. Your court case really inspired me. The strength you portrayed throughout the entire ordeal was inspirational. That dickhead really put you through hell and you came out the other side stronger and that’s something to be proud of. The courage you showed gave me the strength to finally talk to my mum about what happened and hopefully one day i’ll have the courage to talk to my dad.

Thanks to you i’m still here today, i’m in my final year of studying to be a nurse and one day i’ll be able to use my experiences and struggles to help other people in similar situations.

CHILEAN SWIFTIE IS ATTENDING THE REP TOUR!! 🇨🇱‼️

hey @taylorswift @taylornation! my name is Flo, I’m from Chile 🇨🇱and I’m SO excited to say that I’m going to see Taylor on SEPTEMBER 1ST!

After I graduated high school, I took a year off from university because I wanted to follow my dreams and accomplish some goals that I knew I wouldn’t be able to get done later in life. One of those goals was to come back to America for as long as I could, exploring new places, learn from its culture and have fun with the friends that I made in 2015 when I came for the first time. I got really close with my friend Micayla and she invited me to her house in Minnesota during the whole summer! It was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. I may not be really confident about myself but English is the only thing I know I’m really good at and having the chance to make it better while also having new experiences with people that I aprecciate and in a country that I really love was something that only was real in my dreams. And so I decided to make it true because it felt right. But it wouldn’t be complete at all if I didn’t go to the Reputation Stadium Tour! I actually bought the tickets before being sure that I was taking a year off so it was a sign of how much I wanted this and how much I wanted to see Taylor in concert!! Almost two months ago I traveled 5,944 miles and America has been very good to me.

Micayla and I are going to see you together in ‼️MINNEAPOLIS NIGHT 2 ON SEPTEMBER 1ST AND WE CAN’T WAIT TO DO SO!! We will be on SECTION 119, ROW 9, SEATS 19 & 20‼️ We’re both huge fans and the fact that we’re doing this together is important for us.

Taylor, you have no idea how much I love you. You’ve been an inspiration to me ever since day 1 and has been there for me through the ups and downs of my teenage life. Your music is a big part of me. It makes me feel alive, it’s my escape from all my problems, it’s my feelings and emotions put into songs that I can listen to whenever I can’t find the words to express myself. You’ve taught me to be strong, to be kind and to be myself and I can’t thank you enough for it. I love you and see you soon ❤️
