Feel like this would mostly be taken on Spellcasters so they can get Constitution save proficiency for their Concentration. Definitely helps Spellcasters way more than Martials imo

Also imagine if Martial classes/subclasses were of a similar power level to this origin feat. They could be way more fun to play. Alas...

What would be the medieval equivalent of the backrooms?

Because while I do know that the backrooms and liminal spaces are a pretty modern thing, I also feel that the feeling of horror in general comes from a primal part in our brain. Which means the sense of uneasiness and dread we feel about these places also have to come from somewhere, from sometime before we had buildings and malls to get lost in.

Am I asking this because I specifically want to put the backrooms in a DnD campaign? Yes. Yes I am.

For a dnd campaign, the Feywild. In the Medieval era broadly speaking, some dark woods I suppose? That or a infinitely expanding latrine or the like, though the dread surrounding those places is the fact that they are literally full of shit.

There are plenty of dnd backstories where you are some kind of exiled royal trying to reclaim their throne, but what about the opposite? I want to play a character actively RUNNING from their royal duties and inheritance. Give me a guy that just saw his brother, uncle, and favorite servant all get murdered in noble plots and just thought "screw this, I'm out," and then spends the entire campaign running from his family who are desperately trying to bring him back so he can become king before his geriatric father passes away and causes a civil war due to lacking an heir.

Bonus points if your family somehow becomes convinced that you have been kidnapped by your party members, thereby turning a band of rowdy adventurers into kingdom-renowned criminals (with wildly inaccurate wanted posters, of course).
