Very sad to read about his passing today. It's some comfort that he seems to have been a good person and is being remembered fondly for that, alongside his acting.
Waiting like a crack addict to see the full ravenloft list of character options, but at least for now I've seen the races.
Thanks, I hate it. A very uninspired collection of traits, including a bonus action aoe with a disappointing chance at success (con fueled vs wis, by contrast kobolds have a 10 foot roar that grants attackers advantage for a turn, no save). Changing unarmed strikes to slashing this way is puzzling, as it leans towards claw flavor without giving lupin the unarmed strike damage that isn't meaningfully powerful, anyway. A really curious omission. Unless you're desperate for the race's flavor, it mostly has potential for monks to combine with the grappler feat, as you can use one unarmed strike for dmg+grapple and one for dmg+shove.
Updated reborn comes in... okayish? Nothing stellar here, but the chance to turn a skill fail to success is handy, and you might get some good mileage out of picking one of these damage resistances. They get an elf like immunity to sleep, and not needing to eat/drink or breathe will vary by the kind of campaign you're in.
Hexblood are mostly unchanged other than being a race and less of a template to override most of another race.
Will be keeping a jonesing eye out for the rest of the book.
Today it was brought to my attention that the 5.5 chimera art has it's wings extending from somewhere around its butt.
Chins up buddy, still doing way better than the pit fiend art in that book.
Everything is going great for your game when players are suggesting improvements claude can make in upcoming builds.

Scattered info coming out about the new Ravenloft book in advance of the early release next week. We know we're getting some returning races and one new one, along with a bunch of subclasses. Reanimator artificer, spirits bard, grave cleric, hollow warden ranger, phantom rogue, shadow sorceror, and undead warlock.
I'll have bad takes on them when I see the changes, but before that I'm thinking about the state of 3 of those classes in particular; artificer, ranger, and rogue. These 3 classes are varying levels of bleak, and need standout subclasses to compensate, which of course they do not get.
Artificer's core problem is it's half caster and half nothing. At low levels replicate magic items is only useful if you're light on magic items, at high level extra attunement slots is weak unless you have plenty of magic items. 5.5 really hurt them by getting rid of the attune to any item feature, as well. Slap a bad subclass on bard or wizard and they're still rock solid, but for an artificer the subclass is like a lifeline, or would be if they ever made a strong enough one.
Ranger isn't as troubled, but its flaws are glaring. Wotc tied one hand behind ranger's back with favoured enemy. Their signature ability is just a few extra uses of a so-so spell that requires concentration and demands bonus actions. Want to cast a clutch entangle or spike growth? Better stop concentrating on hunter's mark. Want to use your bonus action to make an attack or command your beast master pet to attack? Well you might actually be placing hunter's mark this turn, or moving its target. Having these competing demands for your bonus action that may or may not pay off depending on how long the enemy lives or you can keep concentration and it's a drag on ranger gameplay.
Then there's rogue. The class is defined by its sneak attack damage and it's still in the lowest tier of damage dealers. Very few rogue subclasses actually add damage, and one of those few does so at the cost of droping you in melee where rogues do not have a good tools to survive. Add to this new utility from 5.5 actually demands you pay to use it by lowering your sneak attack damage. You also get an unusually inconsistent marital damage profile because most rogues can only attack once per turn so it's all or nothing.
So are any of the subclasses from the new ravenloft book going to address these issues and really lift up these classes in need? I haven't seen the finished product, but no, they absolutely won't.
70 y/o Keith David learns he's getting a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Guy is a legend. Has a healthy resume in live action, but an unreal amount of voiceover work. If you've ever watched cartoons or played videogames you probably know his voice, and boy does it stand out.
Really? Noone saw the font and had a second thought before posting?
He has one bit and he's been doing it for over 40 years.
But also it's amazing and I hope he keeps going for a long time.
Love it. Great content.
And good guy Citi Field. More venues should offer entertainment during baseball games.
The 'ads' in the print version of the onion are consistently solid.
I think about this panel all the time reading comics or watching superhero stuff. Infinite mercy of the people who try to destroy you has never felt genuine or sensible.

It's ok to tear up. They died to protect exactly this.
For whatever reason I never get tired of these stories. That may be the body of a pickup, but it has the soul of a cybertruck.
Daredevil was co created in the 60s by Stan Lee and Bill Everett, and while he's had a lot of villains, he's best known for battling it out with ninjas. Undead ninjas from a cult that reveres a devil-like creature called 'the beast'.
It's so weird that his current tv show revolves around him fighting unaccountable police thugs serving the whims of a criminal politician.
