“Joe.“ She remains calm as she knows they are not alone in the room. The young Lebensborn is allowed to visit because of her status among the youth of the country and her father. Nicole steps forward and hands take hold of Joe’s sighing deeply, green eyes looking up. “I have made an appointment with Oberstgruppenführer John Smith, I might be able to get you out of all of this trouble.

“ Heusmann wasn’t so lucky considering his implication with the ordeal to kill the Fuhrer, but Joe could be saved. “Father is also speaking with Himmler, you will be most likely be released.” And Nicole breathes out, as if finally saying that out loud was enough to calm her nerves. “But please Joe, don’t go back to America.”

“ meine Freundin. I apologize for being absent.You must know it was not my intention, but the SS was very---through with their investigation.” And she had been feeling down, considering the deep news of her father’s death and furthermore finding out the truth of what he had done during the war. It causes Marte to feel unease, how could he had done that and then go home, be a family? It bothers Marte greatly. She reaches out, hands grasping Katherine’s for a brief second.

“ Oberstgruppenführer Smith has been kind to release me and my family of all charges. He had even allowed me to keep my little shop.” Marte sighed with deep breaths, looking around before her tone lowers down. “He did advice I should go back to Berlin. They wish to keep me under close eyes.”

he feels NUMB. It has been a long time since Frank felt something if anything after Juliana left the first time and his sister and children were murdered, he feels just full of rage and needs to do SOMETHING and at the same time, feels numb with emotions, hoping not to feel a thing. And yet, the moment he looks at Juliana, Frank is lost of words. It takes a moment to sink in because god, he had thought she would be long gone by now, or worst, six feet under by fighting with the Resistance.

 But no, she is alive. “Juliana.” Her name sounds both familiar and strange in his mouth, he had spoken so many times and yet, it has been so long, so many things had happened that it seems almost surreal. “I thought---”He can’t even dare to go closer, a hug, between old flames, between two people that cared about one another. “I don’t know what I thought.” He realizes, eyes avoiding her gaze after the initial contact, body standing perfectly still as he looks away. “I’m glad you are okay.”

Frank Frink grew up in San Francisco under Japanese control, though he may have been born a few years before the invasion. He had a sister, Laura. His paternal grandfather was Jewish.Frank Frink is the ex-boyfriend of Juliana Crain. He is also the brother of the late Laura Crothers, who was executed with her children, John and Emily, by the Kempeitai; Frank’s widower brother-in-law is Bill Crothers. He is partially Jewish, as one of his grandfathers was Jewish, and thus his existence is precarious. He worked in a factory creating replicas of pre-war antiques that are popular with Japanese collectors and also created some forgeries. After his arrest by the Kempetai and a series of other events, Frank wound up working with the Resistance. His status is currently unknown as he was caught in the bombing of the Kempeitai headquarters.

Joseph “Joe” Blake is the Lebensborn illegitimate son of Reichsminister without Portfolio Martin Heusmann and Elsa Blake. He is a former Geheime Staatspolizei (GestaPo) Agent who worked under Oberstgruppenführer (At the time Obergruppenführer) John Smith, posed as a new recruit to the underground American resistance.He transported a copy of the forbidden film The Grasshopper Lies Heavy to the Neutral Zone as part of his mission to infiltrate the American Resistance. However, he questioned his beliefs due to the influence of Juliana Crain, and refused to do further work for Smith. Afterwards he was brought to Berlin to meet his father, who was later named Acting Chancellor following the death of Hitler. Both Heusmann and Joe were imprisoned after it was discovered that Heusmann poisoned Hitler.

Marte Heydrich (born 1942) is the daughter of Reinhard Heydrich (both real people, however in the show Heydrich is still alive when in the show he died in 1942 and shortly after Marte was born). Marte owns a boutique and a salon for women, and despite her father wanting to put her in the SS Headquarters, she could never keep her job there.She is good friends with John Smith’s secretary Katherine. Her father was reported missing and later she finds out that he was not only imprisoned but killed by conspiring to kill Hitler.She sometimes babysitter Obergruppenführer John Smith children, and by the end of season two, she lears of her father’s death at his hands as well what her father did during the War. Which was kept a secret to her and her siblings, details were never explained, this shocks her world and step by step, Marte finds herself getting involved in the Resistance, hoping to one day make amends for what her father did.

He tried to marry her off multiple times, but she never agreed to it.Nicole is biologically an Aryan, as per Nazi standards. She was conceived as part of the Lebensborn program to create perfect future generations of Aryan citizens in the Reich. Joe Blake was also a member of the same program, although they would never meet each other until later in life.Being a ‘perfect human’ Nicole has short blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. She is around 27 years old, as she and Joe were members of the same Lebensborn program, though not of blood relation. She is a member of a subculture of German youth who use the luxuries the Reich provides to explore in drugs and other extracurricular activities; in short, she is a Nazi Hippie.Nicole often appears optimistic, expressing her beliefs to Joe Blake from the moment she meets him. As her father is a member of the Nazi Elite, she also appears to be quite wealthy and is often seen wearing extravagant clothing and jewelry. She is hired by Joe Blake’s father, Martin Heusmann, to attempt to woo him into staying in Berlin, but Joe quickly figures this out. Despite being recruited to do this, she develops a genuine interest in Joe and the two soon form a relationship.
