i feel so defeated
La Piscine (The Swimming Pool), 1969, by Jacques Deray
Lyrics : I was lying in my bed last night Staring at a ceiling full of stars When it suddenly hit me I just have to let you know how I feel We live together ...
I've sought out to find a real meaning to all this And i'm trying So hard But if i can't, i guess that's ok I'll just leave Let me
it's so hard to reach out for help
“I have loved you for the last time Is it a video? Is it a video? I have touched you for the last time Is it a video? Is it a video?”
“Elio crouches in front of the fire. His face lost in thoughts.”
it’s one of the most unique feelings in the world - knowing that your path with someone has come to a conclusive end. usually it’s a feeling reserved for the “second” time ending things, just like in the film. we didn’t see elio’s character respond like this when oliver left to go back home, because there was still some hope there.
i could literally feel his pain watching this. i still remember the drive home so vividly. i couldn’t bring myself to even put music on. i just drove, and sobbed. timothee’s portrayal of that feeling was absolutely heartbreaking, because it was so authentic.
Fantastic Doors are opening - Jim Morrison in 1967
“Can’t stand the silence. I need to speak to you.”
i am sad i am sad i am sad i am not sad i am sad i am sad i am sad
