Jasmine stood in the heart of the storm. Or at least, she imagined that she did. Leaning back against a lamppost, watching as heavy rain battered civilians running down the sidewalk with newspapers and umbrellas raised up over their heads. She remembered what it was like to sit in the eye of the storm. To control it. Be one with it. With raindrops soaking her hair and clothing, it felt like home. Someone stood several paces away, still. WatchingĀ her.Ā
Slowly, Vepar turned her gaze on them. Judging. Expectant. āWhat is it?ā she asked before flicking her eyes back up to the rain. āYou arenāt fond of the weather?ā
Victoire was rather neutral about the rain. So long as she had an umbrella to keep herself dry under, why would she mind? After walking from a nearby Tesco, even a blue blood like Victoire liked to keep some groceries in her flat, she spotted someone. The back of her head wasn't all together overpoweringly familiar, simply enough that it struck her to pause and stare. When her eyes met, the realization clicked.
"I enjoy the rain much like any other person in London. We live with so much of it, I hardly notice it these days." Victoire struggled. "Though I don't doubt you enjoy it." They weren't close enough to speak quietly, especially not with the sounds of rain hitting the ground like bullets all around them.
