Hey there! I figured it was about time to start up my own shifting blog, so this post is going to double as my pinned post and my shiftblr introduction.
I'm Styx!
I'm nonbinary, and I'm currently using it/it's pronouns, but that changes pretty often and I try to keep it updated here!
This is a sideblog so I can't like / follow / reply to things.

What I know about shifting
I'm 20 yrs old and I've been looking into the concept of shifting for a few months (I believe I started October 2020) but I've been researching and theorizing about the multiverse for at least 8 years! That probably seems like a long time but considering how much I learned in the first 6 yrs vs the last 2, it's really not.
I have not successfully shifted to a DR of my choosing. But! I choose to believe I have shifted to a handful of realities I didn't choose / plan to go to, though I first misinterpreted these shifts as dreams.
I've got multiple DRs but honestly? If I stick with this pattern of going wherever the multiverse wants me to, I would be perfectly happy with that. My current DR goals are an original world of mine, the pen.umbra p0dcast, doctor who, and maybe the magnus arch¡ves. (I really don't want this to be in their tag lol). I currently have a list of my DRs here which I may or may not keep updating.
Other info about me
I do a lot of magic theory, which means I guess about how stuff works and then think on it for a really long time. That's about it, but I try to share what I've come to understand with everyone here! I intend to share a lot of my theories on the multiverse as I remember / come up with them!
I by no means claim to be an expert in shifting or the multiverse though. That being said my beliefs of shifting are heavily influenced by my own theories and what I say could be wrong! Everything I write here is done with positive and helpful intent, so I am so sorry ahead of time if I post something incorrect.
I also tend to over explain things and nearly always use examples and comparisons to explain stuff. I promise I'm not being rude ore thinking y'all are dumb I just talk too much 😭
I'm pantheistic, which as I see it means the multiverse is semi alive. The word usually means the universe singular is alive, but I see no reason only our universe would be alive, and its more likely for the entirety of the multiverse to be a "God"
I have a number of mental health issues and I will try my best to keep those off of here, but just know I may wind up posting about depression and such, and will be tagged appropriately. I will also be tagging any "common" or "blanket" triggers i may reblog, and feel free to ask me to tag a specific trigger, no matter how obscure it is I'll try to always tag it!
I do have memory issues as part of my many problems, so if I forgot to respond to something, or don't tag something, or anything along those lines just sent me an ask and I'll fix it.
And I think that's all! Thanks for reading to the end! If you're completely new to shiftblr, here's some other amazing shifters you should check out: @chazshifting @fuckingrealityshifting @shifting-lark
By the way this blog is practically inactive. I still love the concept of shifting, still super on the fence about it, still obsessed with the multiverse. If y'all have questions about the multiverse or wanna talk to me about it you're more than welcome to but otherwise following this blog is pointless sorry
I'm working on trying to be more shameless on talking about my interests but in this case specificly about shifting. Yes I'm mentally ill let me live my lives ♥
Do y'all have or know about ways to wake up on queue when you're lucid dreaming. Like literally any way to wake up when you become aware you're dreaming? Not reality checks bc I already know I'm dreaming during the times I want to wake up
So in my dreams I've got a set of powers I can use because I've been thinking about them so long they've become embedded in my subconscious. I got a decorative resin knife today, so in theory I think I could bring in into my dreams by thinking about it enough and use it to protect myself. There's absolutely nothing special about it, its dull and isn't useful at all, but if I associate it with protection and safety and warding, then it should work, right?

I used to have a chameleon sigil saved on my phone to blend in with your surroundings and not get noticed which I used pretty much all the time bc I have social anxiety and don't want to stand out. But I've been thinking about making a glamor sigil specially targeted to hide feminine parts / mke your be perceived as more masculine. If I make it ill share on here, this post is just a reminder for future me
Not last night but the night before that I had a multipart dream and all of my powers worked perfectly and it was so great. Waking up it took me hours to process it but when I did I was like. "! It worked! I did things and they worked!"
And THEN last night I successfully spooked someone by Shape-shifting on queue and I'm so proud of that. Might actually write that bit up bc it was funny from a 3rd person view
(none of this was scripted because it was a dream. But note I have access to powers even while not lucid dreaming because the idea of those powers are ingrained into my mind)
I was in a play as an understudy, this play was entirely original, writen by someone in the theatre and performed by local actors. I was in the (understudy) role of loki, as the play as about original Norse mythology. The main actor for Loki worked incredibly hard to make sure everything was accurate and the best portrayal they could possibly, but got sick at the last minute, so I had to take their spot.
That nights performance was something special. Looking back at first I thought it was opening night, but it was really being recorded for disruption.
I performed as loki and took this place, doing Extras tricks and at one point "flying" via cables (and actually flying, but no body knew that). The dream jumped to hours after the show, where the cast was watching the recorded version play out. At the very end, it cut to almost a credits like scene, with all of the characters and their actors speaking up one by one. It finally got to the character of loki, only for Loki to look up and reveal the face of the main actor, not me.
Baffled, the cast looked at me, asking "I thought all of their scenes were cut?", at which I responded. "Well, you worked so hard. And I wouldn't be much of a trickster God if I couldn't shapeshift at will." and promptly changed my face to match the main actor.
Of course they were all surprised and shocked. And I laughed it off, reverting my face and leaving the theatre.
Writing it out it doesn't sound as cool, but it felt so fun to do that and be able to give credit to the person that worked hardest on it.

Literally anytime I see someone going "somewhere out there there might be an alternate reality where…" yes. There is an alternate reality for whatever you're thinking. There's alternate realities where anything you can imagine can and has happened. There's an alternate reality where that hypothetical situation just happened, one where it happened 50 years ago, and one where it's about to happen. They all exist!
So do lucid dreamers have a method to wake up when they want? I keep having false awakenings and then realizing they're a dream and trying to find ways to wake up, and never having a way out. I already know I'm dreaming, my only concern is waking up on time.
Also I should put this out now in case anyone wants to unfollow, I'll add it to my intro later.
My current stance on shifting is that I really, really want it to be real, but I highly doubt that it is. I am actively trying to shift still, I don't see in harm in me trying, as I'm actively practice control in what I read and believe so I don't fall into a scam or a cult (which are. Real things that are still exist and should b taken seriously, and are almost never actually labeled as a cult). In any theories for the sake of theories I'm going to simplify it to "yes shifting is real" because having that "idk but I hope" disclaimer on every theory post is tiring.
This blog has been and will continue to be a place for me to talk about spiritual stuff, mainly my theories about the multiverse! The multiverse and theories about multiple realities has always been a special interest of mine, so I'm going to keep thinking about that and posting here on the rare chance I get my thoughts about it in order.
So this is the time travel chart I have saved that I generally use to explain various time travel ideas. Obviously, the multiverse theory is what I practice with in any theories or hypothetical situations. Even if shifting isn't a real thing, I still heavily believe in the multiverse as it makes the most sense to me.
I don't remember exactly who did it but there was a blogger on here suggesting that, to prove shifting is real, that shifters should go to a world where a famously "unsolvable" equation has been solved, and bring back the solution. Obviously no one's done it yet.
But I really think that's not possible. With how grand the multiverse is, you could go to a world you think is identical, only to find thy everything about it is different. This goes with time travel too, which is why I'm saying this on this post specifically.
If you wanted to see what dinosaurs looked like, and you shifted to a world that's identical to this one but a million years ago, there's absolutely no guarantee that the dinosaurs there are the same as what dinosaurs actually looked like here. I think even if you scripted it, it wouldn't be possible, as scripting is mental and based on your understanding of things. (yes even if the script is physical, the act of scripting itself is a mental process.)
If you shift to a reality a hundred years in the future to see their advancements and bring them back, there's no guarantee their physics work the same and that any of their tech or theories would be functional in our reality, even if built and applied the exact same way.

Obviously, the multiverse theory is what I practice with in any theories or hypothetical situations. I was trying to explain the varied solutions foe the grandfather paradox to my grandma and remembered the whole reason I joined this community was so that I can talk about weird shit like time travel and the multiverse and people would go along with it and not just go "You're giving me a headache"
So I'm current taking a small break from here bc of real life stuff that's got me depressed and I don't want this to become too much of an escapism tactic. But I do really fast wanna share this but of dialog from a shift I did last night.
Person I'm going to call C, who I just woke up: Ug. Who are you? Why are you here. Why wake me up. I was having a nice sleep.
Me: You know who I am. And I'm here, because antagonizing you is half the fun!
C: … Oh, you're me. Another me. Sure sounds like something I'd do.
